100% Attitude - Skai Mitchell

Hey Scrappers,

Have you got your hands on the new Xtreem Teen range yet?

I knew as soon as I opened the pack and saw this card that there would be a photo with my daughters name written all over it. Do you also have that one child that wont take a sensible group photo, drives you completely bonkers and is a general pain in the ass?.... Yep, that's my Trinity...

Here's my attempt at taking a group shot of her and her cousins at a recent birthday party...

Products I've used...

Also. all the older style stencils in shop are reduced to $5!! Get in quick before they all sell out!

Happy Scrapping!

Rad, with Ros Madley

Today I'm sharing a page featuring the awesome Xtreme Teen collection.  There is so much in this set that is perfect, not just for teens, but many other ages or milestones.

Perfect collection for my little ranga ♥

The base has been made with Flutter colour paint and some gelli printing.  Love these gorgeous colours.

I've used cards, sticky quotes and bits and bobs to make a photo stack.  If you look close enough you will see there is some MacQueen stencil poking out from underneath the cluster.

I had in mind a small pile for my photo and got a little carried away and hid most of the stencilling.  Oops.
The wood veneer stars have been coloured with a big brush pen.

You can see a little more of the MacQueen stencil here!

Hope you've been inspired ♥

Stand Out + Cool Pre Teen | Belinda Spencer

Hello!!

Belinda here today to share two more layouts I have created using the completely awesome Xtreme Teen range.

For these layouts, I wanted to showcase the utterly brilliant Knucklehead Stencil. I LOVE skulls and anything spooky so I couldn't wait to play with this stencil.

'Stand Out'  Layout

I started this layout with a kraft cardsstock background. I placed the stencil on it and drew around the skulls using a waterproof fine black journalling pen. I diluted some black gesso with water to get a runny, watercolour consistency. I spritzed the background with water and then painted around the skulls with the black gesso using a soft, wet paintbrush.

Once all of the black gesso background was dry, I watered down the Arctic White Flutter Colour paint and painted the skulls.

I was inspired by the cool Converse images in the collection so decided to scrap a photo of my daughter's new Converse. AND I have had a Converse die in my stash for absolutely ages waiting for the right project. FINALLY I got to use it and the fabulous fabric look grey photo filler card was the perfect piece to use for the die cut.

I layered on some photo filler cards, my photo and a whole heap of awesome bits and bobs, wood veneer page tabs and flair button.

Here's what I used:

'# Cool Pre Teen' Layout

So there is that cool stencil again! I told you I LOVE it! This time I have swiped some Golden Light Molding Paste over the stencil to create a more dimensional effect. I have added just two rows of Knuckleheads across the bottom of my layout by masking off areas of the stencil using scrap paper held in place with a little washi tape.

This time I spritzed the background with water and then doused it in Charcoal Kaisermist. So that it wasn't quite so dark, I blotted the excess colour away with scrunched up paper towel and flicked a bit more water at it for a waterstained effect..

I have mixed and matched the Xtreme Teen range with the Colour Me Krafty collection which worked perfectly with my kraft cardstock background. I have kept to a simple neutral colour scheme of black, white and kraft to make my photo really stand out.

Here's what I used:

Well that is all from me today. Don't forget to share your own awesome creations in our Flutterby Designs Inspiration HQ Facebook Group. I would so love to see what you have made.

Rock Star by Tamara Buckler

Hey, Hey, Flutterby peeps!

Back again to share another layout with the awesome new 'Xtreem Teen' range. There are so many great bits of inspiration in this range, and I started this layout with the title in mind - which I fussy cut from one of the Everyday Etc cards.

I started this layout with a generous slather of gesso, and then spread some ColourBlast texture paste through the super cool MacQueen Stencil, and then some watered down Flutter Paint to colour the background.

I then layered up some cards from the Xtreem Teen filler cards behind the cheeky photo of my girls, and mirrored this layout with the fussy cut title.

With all that going on in the background, I only used a few embellishments. I love how the wood veneer pops of the page, and how the ticket and flair button really tie in with the theme of the page. A little phrase from the 'Mad About you' Bits and Bobs, and some enamel dots was all I needed to finish it all off.

Thanks for stopping by again today to check out my layout. Make sure you are sharing your layouts with us over at Flutterby Inspiration HQ.

Big Loves,
Tam x

Lick the Beaters | Krisy Podolak

Hi Flutterby Lovelies.

Today I am sharing a layout that came about from the Happy Together Cards.  I am a mum and like all mums I have a licking the beaters photo. So I just had to get it printed and Scrapped.

I created a mixed media background using the Flutterby Colour paintstencils and then added some stamping and layered up all things Flutterbys.

Here are a few close ups:

I printed the photos in black and white to allow me to choose my colour scheme. I went with the colours of the cards as inspiration.

There is a process video that goes along with this layout.  You can check it out on my YouTube Channel - POPLEOPOD.

Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to subscribe.

Zero F%*KS Given - Skai Mitchell

Hey Flutterby Fans...

I'm an honest scrapper, and it no secret that I've been struggling the last few months personally... A marriage falling apart, a major change in jobs that has affected my children immensely, whacking on 10kgs...zero time to create... and just generally being a shitty person to everyone around me...

My biggest downfall is the negative self talk... so I'm actively changing the chatter and dragging myself up and out of this rut..

The new range Xtreme Teen just screamed me, and while I have few layouts up my sleeve featuring my kiddos, this one is all me...

Beware of the Crazy Cat | Sue Plumb

Hi everyone! Sue Plumb here with you today to share my latest design team project. Today I have a 12x12" layout that is a bit of a different style for me. I used a combination of the new 'Xtreme Teen' collection along with the 'Fur-ever Friends' collection. I was obviously channeling a tabloid journalist on this day...

I used a sheet of black cardstock and a piece of newsprint patterned paper from Cocoa Vanilla Studio as the base for my page. I then used pieces cut from both the 'Xtreme Teen' and 'Fur-ever Friends' Everyday Etc cards to create the headline, quote and some of the subtitles.

My journaling on this layout consisted of the story, told in newspaper style;and I simple printed it to fit the columns on the patterned paper. The green quote stickers and danger sign are from the 'Xtreme Teen' Sticky Quick Quotes sheet, and I also included a black Snippet Strip.

I also used the green skull flair button from the 'Xtreme Teen' set # 1; and the "this week" and "family" tabs from the Photo Cut Outs 'Bright Directions Tab 3' sheet.

I am really happy with how this page turned out for something a bit different. (It's nice to mix things up sometimes isn't it?)
Thanks for stopping by today so I could share this with you. I will be back again in a couple of weeks with another project. Until then, happy scrapping!

Licks of Love, with Ros Madley

Hi.  I'm back.
I have another share featuring the super cute Fur-Ever Friends range.  We have 3 fur babies in our family, so I have plenty of photos that this range is perfect for.
I have gelli printed my background.  I used Arctic White Flutter Colour paint on my background.  The Hugs & Kisses stencil has been used with a very dry layer of Black Mayhem Flutter Colour.

This week my page is staring the gorgeous Miss Willow May.  I took these photos while I was getting ready for work one day.  She's sitting on my bed watching me with her tennis ball just looking at me with her big brown eyes, wanting me to play fetch.

The Eat Sleep Play photo tag is perfect for Miss Willow.  I'm pretty sure she's 2% play, 8% eat and 90% sleep.

This range has so many gorgeous quotes.  I could have filled the whole page with apt titles.

Hope you've been inspired ♥

I'm Not O-bleeping-kay & Epic Swagger | Belinda Spencer

Hello Flutterby peeps!!

Belinda here today to share two layouts featuring the brand new freaking awesome Xtreme Teen collection.

I love this brilliant collection so much that as soon as I had it in my inky, painty hands I whipped up 5 layouts! It's that good.

Now while I am not currently blessed with teenagers in my house, in no more than a blink of the eyes I will be. With a son that will be turning 11 this year and a daughter turning 12, the attitude levels are on the increase! LOL

'I'm Not O-fucking-kay' Layout

So I recently got one of THOSE phone calls from the school. One young son in excrutiating pain after falling off the swing at school. He had the whole banana arm thing happening so off to hospital we went in an ambulance. He was such a trooper. Not crying or making a fuss. Totally calm throughout the whole ordeal and the very long wait at the hospital. So proud of him. :-)

Here's a peek at my background before I started layering on all of the fabulous embellishments and photo cards in the range. I turned the 'On The Plus Side' Stencil on it's side to create crosses (because I wanted to put a big fat cross through the whole day!). I swiped some Golden Light Molding Paste over the stencil and allowed to dry. Then I diluted some awesome Flutter Colour Paint with water, spritzed my background liberally with water and applied the paints with a soft paintbrush. I spritzed with water a bit more to get that paint really flowing and then dried off with a heat gun. It created a really lovely watercolour effect but still maintained the big, bold, brightness of the paints.

I love how absolutely perfect the embellishments and quotes are for the not so happy experiences!

Here's what I used:
XTREME TEEN:
- Everyday Etc Photo Cards
- Everyday Etc Filler Photo Cards
- Page Tabs
- Wood Veneer
- Sticky Quick Quotes
- Die Cut Bits & Bobs

- Flair Buttons
- 'On The Plus Side' Stencil
- Sticky Quick Quotes
- Bright Tabs 2 Photo Cut Outs

FLUTTER COLOUR:
- Green Limousine
- Orange Goldfish
- Tropicana Teal

Next up is a layout featuring my daughter clowning around for a photo and giving me some teenage swagger!

'Epic Swagger' Layout

I started this layout by swiping some Flutter Colour Paint in Tropicana Teal over my background white cardstock. I also added some drippy Arctic White paint. Once dry, I stencilled on some stars using the Stargazed Mini Stencil and some Golden Light Molding Paste.

I have added a little stamping and then layered on co-ordinating filler photo cards, my photo and embellishments.

Here's what I used:

XTREME TEEN:
- Everyday Etc Photo Cards
- Everyday Etc Filler Photo Cards
- Page Tabs
- Wood Veneer
- Sticky Quick Quotes
- Flair Button

- Wood Veneer Page tab
- Stargazed Mini Stencil

FLUTTER COLOUR Arctic White

I hope you like my projects today and you are feeling inspired to get creative with your Flutterby stash too. You can find all the product I have used over HERE on the website.
