Happy Mother's Day | Adele Toomey

Happy New Year's Eve peeps!!

Today I am catching up on some 2018 scrapping in my family album. I love making photo collages on my phone to document several smaller photos at once. This came in handy when documenting the special ladies in our lives this past Mother's Day.

I am using the "We Run The World" collection today, which I thought was appropriate for these amazing women!

I began by creating an easy mixed media background by smooshing white modelling paste through the "Little Big Love" stencil and then adding some watercolour paint once it was dry.

I used several of the Everyday Etc cards to layer behind my photo collage, along with several stickers from the Sticky Quotes sheet.

I love using tiny word stickers to add the finishing details to my layouts! Paired with a Flutterby wood veneer camera, they added the perfect little extra pizzaz to my embellishment cluster.

Hope you have a scrappy, happy day and HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

Grateful | Allara Bamforth

Happy Friday,

As much as I love Xmas - I'm always glad when it's over. It's just such a whirlwind in the lead up and I feel so exhausted afterwards, especially working as well, yesterday and today.

However I'm always grateful to spend time with the family. We don't get to see each other often, so it's great to catch up. I do love spending time with my kids, and joining in on their fun and enjoying their company.

My layout today celebrates being grateful and the 'We are' collection is perfect for those family pics.

I love combining orange and purple together, so I picked the 'I'll Keep You' paper for my background and added some Artic White, Grape Soda and Orange Goldfish Flutterby's Paint to the back ground haphazardly with a palette knife whilst also dipping the lid in the paint to get some circle shapes.

I have then added some squares cut from the Everyday Etc Filler Cards that matched in with the background and dug out an old circle hole punch to create some circles. I've added to this stickers from the Sticky Quick Quotes and a couple of word diecuts from the Bits and Bobs die cuts as well as a small frame for my photo. Finished off with some enamel dots in matching colours and a flair button. Check out the 'We Are' collection via the What's New link to browse all these products.

Thanks for taking a peek today. I'd like to wish you all a happy new year and I look forward to sharing more creations with you in 2019. Although we've said goodbye to some fabulous design team members - Neet has recruited some brilliant replacements and I can't wait to see their creations.

Till next post,

Family Fun Together | Rachel Dutko

Hi everyone, Rachel with you today.
I hope you had a fabulous Christmas, and are getting a chance to relax
and maybe squeeze in some some creative time over the holidays.

I am back today with another layout to share using the fabulous 'We Are' collection.
I seriously cannot get enough of this collection.

I've used the 'Unconditional' 12x12 paper for my base, and matted it
with white and then black cardstock for a thick border.

I've added some Everyday Etc filler cards as layers under my photo.
I added a border to these with a black pen.

I've used an Everyday Etc card for my title, pairing it with the
'Together' piece from the Die Cut Bits & Bobs pack.

I've also added a flair button and some Sticky Quotes

Lastly, I've added 2 clusters of flowers, as well as a heart from Charm's Creations.

Thanks for looking

We Are Family | Tamara Buckler

Hello Flutterby Friends,

I'm back today with my last share for the year! But never fear, I'll be back in the New Year with some new team mates to play with!

Today I'm sharing a layout featuring the 'We Are' collection. I was lucky enough to get my hands on all the 12x12 papers and I have used the 'The Story of Us' for the background paper on this layout.

I wanted to create a central design for this layout. To begin I added some Lindy's Starburst Spray and Magicals to the centre of the background to match the beautiful soft blue in the 'We Are' collection. The Flutterby 12x12 paper is super thick and strong, so the wet media went on without any gesso and the paper is still in great shape!

I then began to layer up Everyday Etc Cards and Frames behind by photo, as well as cardboard, cardstock, tissue paper, and thread,  because I wanted a heap of dimension. I have even included a piece of a Fussy Cut Frame that I used in a previous layout.  I love how the timber look frame really pops of the blue background.

I added in a timber look flair button to draw out this frame, as well as some tiny kraft sticky quotes to accentuate this contrast.

I added some pops of black with the title, an XO Charms Creations and a XOXO page tab. I also added some black splatters.

I love how this page and how much dimension and impact it has. I'm sure I've said it before, but I am really enjoying the new colours in this range, so fresh and fun!

Thanks so much for stopping by today. I hope you are getting ready for a happy and relaxing Christmas and New Year break. I look forward to sharing with you again in 2019!

Big Loves,

Tam xo

Crazy Together | Belinda Spencer

Hello Flutterby peeps!!

Belinda here today to share my latest layout featuring the fabulous NEW We Are collection.

'Crazy Together'

I used the lovely 'Messy Memories' paper from the 12 x 12 We Are Paper Pack as the base for my layout. I added a little stencilling using the 'xo' stencil and some heavy white gesso. I flicked some white paint pen over the surface too.

Next I layered on a strip of the 'The Story of Us' 12 x 12 paper followed by some cropped pieces from the Everyday Etc Filler Cards. I added the die cut photo frame from the We Are Die Cut Bits & Bobs as well as a frame from the Frame 46 Photo Cut Out.

I added my title using a Die Cut Bits & Bobs word as well as a sticker from the We Are Sticky Quotes. I cut out a couple of fun faces from one of the filler cards and popped those on as well as some page tabs and wood veneer pieces.

I hope you are having fun playing with your stash of We Are goodies. Thanks so much for stopping by the blog.

Cheers
Belinda

Family | Sue Plumb

Hi everyone!
Sue Plumb here to share my latest Flutterby design team project with you. Today I have a 12x12" mixed media scrapbook layout to share that features some of the recently released 'We Are' collection and a photo of my siblings and I together.

I had lots of painty fun creating this page, starting with some 'Tropicana Teal' Flutter Colour paint, which I applied to the bottom half of the page using a brayer. I then used a wide brush to apply some Dina Wakley 'Night' acrylic paint to the top half of the page.

Once the paint was dry I used a silver gelato to scribble some colour around the edge to form a rough border, which I then blended a little using a water brush.

Over the paint on the top half of the page, I used the 'Bubble O'Fun' stencil and some Colour Blast 'Steel' Colour Paste to add some texture in a few areas. Over the bottom half, I used the same stencil and some grey ink with a sponge dauber to add a little detail. (Unfortunately this stencil is no longer available, but there are a great range of alternative designs available HERE)

Next, I created a layered mat for my photo using some of the 'We Are' Everyday Etc filler cards. I also added some frayed gauze and a frame from the Die Cut Bits & Bobs pack that I cut in half before adding my photo on top; then tucked in a couple of the 'We Are' page tabs

Lately I have been trying to incorporate some older products and mix them with new, so I took the opportunity to include some washi tape from the 'Good Vibes Only' kit. I also included some of my Flutterby staple supplies - white Tiny Sticky Quotes and enamel dots.

On the bottom half of my layout, I wanted to use a variety of words created from different materials arranged in a sort of word cloud. I started with the large LOVE word from the Die Cut Title Set as the base, adding the word family from the gorgeous 'We are Family' Teal Acrylic Title pack.
In keeping with my mission to include a few older supplies, I overlaid the forever & ever wood veneer piece along the bottom.

On the left side of my word cloud, I added hugs from the Die Cut Bits & Bobs pack, along with a wood veneer heart.
To keep my page balanced, I also tucked a small wood veneer star in behind my page tab above my photo.

Finally, I added the this is us flair button from the 'We Are' flair button set #2 into my word cloud before finishing off my page with a little scribbled border detail using a Stabilo All pencil.

Thanks so much for stopping by today so I could share this with you.
Until next time, happy scrapping! X

Project Life | We Are | Adele Toomey

Hi everyone!

Today I have been having a play with the fun and bright "We Are" collection in my 2018 Project Life album.

I wanted to use the awesome cutapart paper to created some journaling cards, along with several elements from the Everyday Etc cards.

I also used several tiny word stickers and enamel dots, also from Flutterby Designs, to add some extra detail to my cards.

There are so many fun phrases and designs in this collection and they are perfect for my family album.

I have also created a process video showing how this layout came together from start to finish - hope you like it!

we are family | Allara Bamforth

Good Morning!

I'm back on the blog today with another layout filled with goodies from the 'We Are' collection using a photo of myself and brother, because he hardly gets to star in any of my layouts and the photo was the perfect size for what I had planned.

For this layout - I've started off my background using some Flutter Colour Paint using colours Tropicana Teal, Sunshine Yellow and Tangerine Orange. I added a few blobs across my page and taking another piece of white cardstock I've smooshed them both together, just like we used to do at school to make butterfly. The paint leaves a really nice texture and blends together slightly with out losing it's colour.

Once my painted background is dry, I've used one of the older Flutterby stencils with a white paint pen to trace some words. This would also work well with any of the new stencils in the shop and you can check them out here. I've also pulled out the 'Halftone' stencil and blended some of my distress oxide ink over the top.

Next I've taken some of the co-ordinating photo cards from the Everyday Etc Filler Cards and mounted them diagonally finishing with fussy cutting the camera from the Everyday Etc Cards and mounting the photo in the lens.

The 'we are family' title is from the Die Cut Bibs and Bobs and the Sticky Quotes. I'ave added a Flair Button from the Set 1 pack to the corner and finished off with some navy blue thread. Love how striking the colours are in this layout.

Thanks for taking a peek at the blog today. Make sure you click on the links and order some of these products for you xmas famiy snaps!!

Till next post,

Love My Bunch Of Crazies | Rachel Dutko

Hi everyone!

Rachel back with you today, with another layout using the 'We Are' collection.

This bright and happy collection is just perfect for documenting my energetic family.

I used the 'Gratitude' 12x12 paper as my background. I added some torn white cardstock to
balance the 'chaos' of all the bright colours.

To create my title I used the 'love' die cut, and cut the wood-grain letters
from an Everyday Etc card to back it. I added some cardboard
to the back of this to create some dimension.

I also cut some words from an Everyday Etc card.

I added some Everyday Etc filler cards under my photo.

I added a flair button and some pieces from the Die Cut Bits & Bobs pack.
I also added a heart from Charm's Creations.

I then added some stickers from the Sticky Quotes set and a page tab.

Thanks for looking
