May Guest Designer - Tarrah Mclean 'Wild Thing'

Tarrah is back to share another layout...

Some of the elements in the Flutterby Wild Bohemian range
are so pretty and they matched perfectly with some of the products in
the Simple Stories 'So Fancy' collection so I decided to create a layout
about me for this one!

'WILD THING'

"As soon as I saw the dream catcher die cut in the So Fancy pack, I just knew I had to put the 'Chase Your Dreams' flair button over it. I layered lots of the Wild Bohemian Photo cards to the right of my photo and included 2 more Wild Bohemian Photo Cut Out Tabs. I also added the Flutterby Gold Foil 'True Story' flair button and I just love those chippie feathers as an added touch, I finished the layout with some splatters of white mist."

Flutterby Designs products used:
'Wild Bohemian' Everyday Etc Cards
'Wild Bohemian' PageTabs
Enamel Dots
'Chase Your Dreams' Flair Button from set no.380
'True Story' gold foil Flair Button from set no.322

machine stitching and splats of mist….some of my favourite brands to create
with are Crate Paper, Pink Paislee, Pinkfresh Studio, Fancy Pants and Bella Blvd.

I am so excited to be guest designing for Flutterby Designs this term….thank you

so much for having me Anita! I hope you will find some inspiration in my work
using Anita’s amazing products!

'1ST DAY @ KINDY'

For this layout I used loads of Flutterby goodies together with some Maggie Homes/Crate Paper products. I firstly started my school themed layout by cutting a circle from white cardstock with my Silhouette Cameo, this created a hole in the centre of my page where I then backed the busy Crate paper patterned paper.

Flutterby Designs products used:
'Wild Bohemian' Everyday Etc Cards
'Wild Bohemian' PageTabs
Yellow Polaroid Cut Out
Enamel Dots
'Regret Nothing' Flair Button from set no.286
'Be Brave' Flair Button from set no.380
'Stitched Circles 3' Wood Veneer

Close ups...

'DREAM BIG'

The inspiration for this layout came from the colours and the circles
in the pillow my gorgeous niece is sleeping on! I knew I just had to create a sleeping themed layout and the Flutterby Designs products I used were a perfect fit for the theme! I recreated the circle elements by flicking some different coloured mists around my page, adding some of the Flutterby enamel dots and also by using the strips of patterned paper top and bottom.

I cut some of the Wild Bohemian Everyday Etc Cards up and layered lots of them together underneath my photo. I added the 'Stitched Circles 2' wood veneer, 3 of the Wild Bohemian Page Tabs and also added some thread undereath the Flutterby 'I'm  a Dreamer' Flair button. That big black arrow was cut with black cardstock using my Silhouette Cameo, I love how that added a bit more black to the bottom half of my page.

Just plain wonderful - By Lauren Hender

There are really two reasons here today why things are 'just plain wonderful' one of them is that I love my daughter and the memories I have of her falling asleep in my arms, and the other is that Flutterby Designs has just launched it's new web site featuring their new product ranges. Oh you have to check them out they are fabulous.
One product in particular I LOVE! Check out the stencil I have used in this layout! How absolutely cool is that!

Check out the new website HERE

Additional to the new stencil I have used in this layout Flutterby Designs - Flair, photo tabs and labels.

The flair I have used is customisable. I added some watercolor paint to match it to my background which has made a create little accent on my layout.

Hope my layout has inspired you to create.

Awesome | Krisy Podolak

A quick simple share from me today.  Have I mentioned before that I love Flutterby Flairs.  It is for my love of flairs that saw me applying for the design team the second I saw it pop up on my Instagram Feed.  This layout is fairly simple if you take away the background.  It is all about the flairs.

The background is the result of a stencil I used for another project.  Rather than just rinsing it off, I just spritzed it with water and turned it over onto this piece of white cardstock.  It kind of looks like ripples on water so I thought it went will with this picture of my son and his level completion certificate from swimming lessons.

I kept the embellishment fairly simple - some thread, blue gyprock tape, a paper straw, some punchinella and a bit of chipboard from in my stash.  Throw in some flair buttons and some tabs and Bobs Your Uncle.  It's all these little details that make layouts so awesome to look at.

There is a process video too if you want to see how simple the background it to create.  Check it out at Popleopod.

"My Plus One" by Sharmaine Kruijver

I love when a scrap company uses cool packaging that I can add to my page.
Flutterby products are no different.

I used one of the Everyday Etc Card packaging pieces
(you know the one I mean?? The piece that shows what's in the pack).
I cut off part and used it to back my photo.
Bet you didn't even notice!?
It's there with a Page Tab tucked in behind.

I also used the "On The Plus Side" Stencil with some gold texture paint.

And one of the gorgeous flair.

I added a Flutterby heart sticker to this flair.

And used some Flutter Colour Paint (Aquamarine Dream)
to colour the Flutterby Wood bit.

Finishing it all off with another flair and some Flutterby enamel dots.

Have a super creative week everyone.

You & Me by Kylie Cornish

What a jammed packed month May has already been!
We have celebrated my Nan's 90th Birthday, our nephews wedding, helped my brother and sister in-law move. My youngest teenage son has us running him too and from rehearsals for is College musical next month and of course Mother's day!! (Downton Abby box set all season....yipee!!).

So Happy Belated Mother's Day to all those wonderful Mums out there too!! xx

But do not fear I still squeezed in some of that precious me time to create some scrappy goodness.
And this time I remembered to turn the camera on and record my scrappy process.
(Link Below)

You & Me

As soon as I took this photo of myself and my youngest daughter, I knew I was going to scrap it and what better way to show it off, then by using some flutterby goodness.

I love that out of the Everyday Etc Photo Cards I'd have the perfect background for this photo.

Fussy Cut Circles would have to be a favourite of mine.

and by simply changing the colour of my Triangle Wood Bits, and had the cutest embellishments for this page.

And I loved this Fair No 172....seriously how perfect is it!!

You + Me = Love = PERFECT!!

Other Products used on this layout where!

You can check our my process video on my YouTube Channel here.

Mail Art | Krisy Podolak

Hi, it's my turn to share today.  I recently got my hands on the new paint.  I was so excited to get them and could not wait.  But wait I did. A lot longer than was really necessary thanks to our postal system.  The whole delivery process found my paints end up at completely the wrong house and missing for a few days before thankfully the recipient phoned the number on the parcel to say they had it.  I raced to pick them up only to fall ill and the paints just sat for a few more days.

Then one morning I woke up and my Bloglovin feed gave me some inspiration in the form of Fiona Paltridge.  Fiona is my ultimate Scrappy Girl Crush.  I love her work and she is pretty awesome in real life also.  I was recently lucky enough to attend one of Fiona's workshops and my Girl Crush for her has grown.  So when her Poppy blog post came up I knew I was going to Scraplift/Steal it as soon as I saw it.

The same day all this happened I had a Masters Challenge for Scrapbooking Memories due in the next few days.  I really struggled with this piece as the colours and the "theme" of the pack was so totally not me. And as Neet says "No amount of Gesso was going to help", so once I muddle through it and managed to produce a layout that actually turned out pretty awesome, it was time to prepare my Pizza Box.

For those who don't know, when you have a submission accepted for Scrapbooking Memories Magazine there is an extra challenge to decorate your Pizza box for submission.   You can read about it here on one of my blog posts.  I decided to crack out my Flutterby paints for this one.  I totally stole like an artist and created a box with Fiona inspired Poppies.  These are so beautiful and easy to do.  So easy in fact, that my three year old daughter, Poppy helped me.  She still finds it amusing that there is a Poppy flower just like her name.

I watered the paints down a bit to create water colour washes for this and used my heat gun to move the colour around while it was drying.  I used a mister sprayer to add more water to the colours once they were on the box to make it more fluid.  There wasn't the right green but I just mixed up my own.  That's the beauty of primary colours and having a whole set of colours.  I did ask Neet when these colours were released if I could buy just certain ones.  Her words were along the lines..."you'll need the whole set" I didn't need the convincing I was just concerned I would use some colours more than other.  But as it turned out I did need the set. So, its just as well I had the whole set.  If you haven't got your hands on these little babies yet, I highly recommend you do.  They are a great consistency but with excellent coverage and are so versatile.  Plus the packaging is just the right size to hold in your hand.

There isn't a process video for this project as my camera was downloading while we worked on this box but let me know if you would like to see one and I will see what I can do sometime in the future. So, keep an eye out for this one doing the rounds on the Great Mailart Pizza box hunt.  I can't wait to see what others add to it.

Morning Snuggles by Lauren Hender

I love these photos.. not overly fluttering but who is first thing in the morning when your babies come and jump on you. These are the everyday moments I wish always to remember and treasure.

In this layout I have used lots of Flutterby goodies. In the background I have use a stencil and some texture paste. I have added the cutest wood veneer typewriter, a brightly perfect flair, some enamel dots and a photo tab.

All these perfect accents highlight my layout and make this moment appear as magical as it was.

I hope this layout inspires you to capture your everyday moments.

"No Other Way" By Sharmaine Kruijver

Hello Flutterheads
It snowed on the mountain here in Hobart today!!
Our Indian Summer seems to finally be over.
With the cold weather comes dark, gloomy days.
So I made a page that is full of colour
And I hope it adds some cheer to your day.

Love the spots of colour that a Flutterby Page Tab can add

Mixed in some foil flair

And some other Flutterby flair

I backed this cool "wood bit" with a Everyday Etc Card
And I think  the results were A-OK!!

OH OH OH
And speaking of A-OK....
Have you seen the sneak peeks Anita has been showing on Facebook?!
Very exciting!
