A huge shout out has to go to the boss lady, Miss Neet, for not only creating some kick ass collections, but for her tireless dedication to brand and quality that is Flutterby Designs.

Here is my collection of DT works I created this year....

I cant wait to meet the new DT team for 2018 and see what they create. For now, its farwell from me. Thank you for sharing in my creative journey this year.

Shine, by Ros Madley

Today is the day I share my last page as a Flutterby design team member.  It's been an awesome year with lots of fabulous collections being released and today I'm using what has to be up the top of my list of favourites ♥, We Run the World.

My page started with the Bright Like a Diamond stencil, which is probably my most used Flutterby Designs stencil.

I then thought it was perfect to cut the word 'shine' from the Everyday Etc cards.  I've also added a few shapes among my cluster from these cards.   Topped them off with a flair button.

Some Raspberry Punch Flutter Colour Paint was used to cover the heart from the We Run the World wood veneer bits.

I've added some Tiny Sticky Quotes and another little heart, this time a die cut from the Bits and Bobs pack.

I hope you've been inspired.
It's been an awesome year and I've loved sharing with you all.

Family Christmas Traditions & Falala | Belinda Spencer

Merry Christmas Flutterby peeps!!!

I hope Santa was kind to you and you survived the mad present opening frenzy that is Christmas morning.

I am just popping in before my little family and I head out the door to share two Christmas layouts featuring the completely awesome Fair Dinkum Chrissy collection.

This is such a fun Christmas range and so perfect for a hot Aussie Christmas.

'Family Christmas Traditions'

I love this photo I snapped a couple of years ago now. I was aiming for a nice Christmas photo but got this instead. LOL My young son did not want his sister's arm on him. Hahaha. As much as I wanted a 'nice' photo, the outtakes are the ones I love best.

I created a lovely watercolour effect background on my layout just because it is my favourite thing to do. I spritzed my background with a generous amount of water first and then applied diluted Tropicana Teal Flutter Colour Paint using a large soft paintbrush. I kind of just dump the paint on the page and watch the water bleed it out before helping it along a little with my paintbrush.

I then layered on some of the Filler Photo Cards sticking to a teal, black and neutral colour scheme.

The Page Tabs are one of my all time favourite Flutterby products and I love to layer them above my photo.

My layout wouldn't be complete without a sprinkling of sweet little wood veneer pieces and cute die cuts.

Here's what I used:

For my second layout featuring a photo of my darling daughter, I have kept to a white, pink, red and kraft colour scheme.

'Fa La La'

How cute is that santa hat and the little reindeer?? They are from the Die Cut Bits & Bobs pack that is chockers full of awesome Christmas die cuts.

I strayed from my usual watercolour background for this one and simply squeezed some Raspberry Punch Flutter Colour Paint onto my layout. I then swiped away at it with a palette knife until I was happy with the coverage. As usual I sloshed on way more paint than I needed. It's typical of me which is why I always keep an art journal handy so I can swipe the excess paint onto a page or two to use later. Tags are good for this too if you have those laying around your desk.

I love the look of pink and red together and with a little kraft added too it's a pretty cool colour scheme.

I really wanted to use the Dear santa checklist Photo Card to go with my photo of my girl but it contained sentence enhancers. Now don't get me wrong I am a huge fan of sentence enhancers and must admit to using them quite regularly in everyday life. However I couldn't bring myself to use them on a layout with a photo of my daughter so I strategically placed a 'censored' sticker and a cute wood veneer present to hide them. It's a cool and creative way of covering up the naughty words if you don't want to use them.

Here's what I used:

Well I hope you are feeling inspired by my layouts today and you get a chance to sneak away and play with your own stash of Fair Dinkum Chrissy goodies. I am off to spend the morning at the zoo with my family followed by a lovely casual lunch at home.

Enjoy your Christmas day lovelies!

Cheers
Belinda

Shine Brightly | Tamara Buckler

Hey Hey Flutterby Peeps,

I'm back to share my final layout for 2017 - hasn't this year just flown by?! We have had some massive accomplishments this year, including building and moving into our first home, and our eldest daughter finishing primary school! With all this going on, it's been important for us to remember to take some time out and spend it enjoying our kids. That's what this layout is about, and it's certainly easy to document these moments with the fabulous 'We Run The World' collection!!

I started this page with some very old (unbranded) paper I had in my stash that looked like an old wooden door, it was very grey so I spread a light layer of gesso across the page to brighten it up and give it a bit of a whitewashed effect. I then watered down some Dylusions paint in Rose Quartz and Cherry Pie (they are a great colour match for the pinks in the WRTW collection) and some Flutter Colour Paint in Grape Soda, and applied this using the package technique and lots of water.

I started my layers by tearing strips from the beautiful watercolour floral card that is included in both the Everyday Etc Filler and Photo Card packs, and laid them in a 'T' shape across the page. I matted the photo on some black paper from my stash, and another Everyday Etc Filler Photo Card. To create my title, I fussy cut "Shine Brightly" from an Everyday Etc Photo Card. I popped both the photo and the "Shine" up with some foam adhesive and glued "Brightly" down the left of the photo.

To create the cluster to the right of my photo I cut a tag shape from one of the Filler Cards, and then cut out two of the frames from the WRTW collection. I tucked some off cuts form the "Shine Brightly" card underneath to carry this across the page, and used some of the Die Cut Bits and Bobs as well as flair button to finish it off. I love the layers in this cluster!!

I finished off the page by tucking some black thread on either side of the photo (when will I learn to do this earlier in my process?!?) and splattered some black ink around the page.

Thanks for stopping by to check out my layout. I hope you have a happy, safe and fun festive season with your family and friends, and I look forward to seeing you in the new year!

Big Loves,
Tam x

Don't Blend in; Beautiful Girl | Krisy Podolak

Hi Flutterby Lovelies.

Today is my last share as a member of the Design Team. So I thought I'd go out this a bang and share 2 layouts.  Both of these use the NEW "We run the World" collection.

The first uses the Cobblestone Stencil then a splash of Flutter Colour Paint and some cut apart frames.  The finishing touch to the page was a Flutterby Flair that matches perfectly.
The next layout is a watercolour and diluted Flutter Colour Paint background.  I kept the embellishment very simple with a Flutterby Flair, and acrylic and Die cut title.

And just like that that's it from me.  I just want to say thanks to Neet for having me on the team I have loved every minute of it.

Krisy xx

FA LA LA... forget it! | Sue Plumb

Hi everyone!
Sue Plumb here today with my final design team share for 2017. (I can hardly believe it!) And given we are creeping sooo close to Christmas; I figured I may as well get in the spirit by sharing a festive layout featuring the new 'Fair Dinkum Chrissy' collection. This collection is perfect for scrapping any great Aussie Christmas. It's bright, happy, full of fun and the best part is...not a snowflake in sight!
(There are still some kits available in the store - you can check them out HERE)

I actually had a different layout planned for this post, but after capturing this hilarious shot of my kids with my niece and nephew the other day, I HAD to scrap it immediately!

To create this page I started by creating my watercolour background using my Flutter Colour Paints. I simply watered them down and then applied to the page with a brush. I used 'Bahama Blue' first, and then once that had dried, I applied some 'Tropicana Teal' over the top. I also added a few splatters of ink before setting it aside to dry.

Once dry, I took the new 'Song for Another Time' stencil, and used a sponge dauber to apply ink through it to various areas of my page. Then it was time to tackle the focal area of my page.
I started with some of the 'Fair Dinkum Chrissy' Everyday Etc filler cards, which I cut and layered to form my photo mat. I also cut out a coordinating page tab, and added some messy cotton before mounting my photo on top. On either side of my photo I added the two blackboard speech bubble photo cut outs. (I love these, they are so fun to add to a page!)

Next, I took a couple of the cards from the 'Fair Dinkum Chrissy' Everyday Etc cards and fussy cut the Fa La La for my title from one of them, and the naughty list quote from another; then adhered them both to my page. I also used some of the Blackboard Sticky Alphas to complete my title. Just underneath the title I added the keeping shit real Black Tiny Sticky Quote.

Alongside my photo I added the super cute little santa flair button (from the 'Fair Dinkum Chrissy' set # 1); and then a couple of embellishments directly onto my photo - the organised chaos Blackboard Sticky Quote; and some small baubles that I fussy cut from the same card as the title.
To finish my page I stamped a few quotes using my Typo roller stamps, and also the date and I was done. I am happy with how this page came out, it makes me laugh!

Thank you everyone for your support and lovely comments on my work throughout the year, I really do appreciate them all. I wish you all a very happy & safe Christmas with your families - I hope Santa is good to you!
Happy scrapping...and happy wrapping! X
