'You Rock'.... By Skai Mitchell

My daughter Trinity-Jewel is a force to reckoned with.... She was just one of those kids born ready to take over the world, and heaven help any one that gets in her way.

Here is my tribute page to all the girls that 'rock'... may we know them, may we raise them, may we love them.

I've pulled out some of my older Flutterby Design collections and given it a grungy twist.

I've started off with some Colour Blast Colour Paste through  the Star 'Mini Stencil' and scraped some extra randomly over the page. I added in some shimmer dusts and black paint splatters.

I've used pieces from the 'Blank Palette' Everyday Etc Cards and 'Mad About You' - Filler cards to create by backing pieces, and have fussy cut the star from one of the pieces.

Add in some 'Blackboard' Sticky Quotes and 'Creative Chaos' - Page tabs, and the 'You Rock' Wood Veneer and you have one rockin' page.

So dig out all your old stash and get creating!
Dont forget to share it over at the Flutterby Inspiration HQ Facebook Page

Fur-ever friends, with Ros Madley

Hello everyone.  A gorgeous Saturday here.
This page I'm sharing with you today features the new release, Fur-Ever Friends.
The base of my page has a couple of layers of gorgeous Flutter Colour Paint.  I've used the colours Sunshine Yellow and Green Limousine.  The stencilling has been done with the Bubble O'Fun stencil and Stormy Grey Flutter Colour paint.  Black Mayhem Flutter Colour has then been splashed a little on top of these.

This week for my photo cluster I decided to pull out some dies and use these with the Fur-Ever Friends Filler Cards.
The little blue doily was cut from the Filler cards with a die and also my purple tags.  They are super cute and I think will be featuring in lots more of my projects.
The Fur-Ever wood veneer frame has been lightly painted with Tropicana Teal Flutter Colour paint. At the side of my cluster I have used a few phrases from Tiny Sticky Quotes.  The cute little bone is from the Die Cuts Bits and Bobs pack.

For my little cluster down the bottom of my layout I have layered a few strips of the Everyday Cards with some Fur-Ever Friends Sticky Quotes.  Used one of my fave flairs and finished it off once again with a scatter of Enamel Dots.

See you soon, hope you've been inspired.

Happy Dog Finn by Belinda Spencer

Hello Flutterby peeps!!

Belinda back today to share two canine inspired layouts using the fur-tastic Fur-Ever Friends collection.

"Finn" Layout

I am lucky enough to be owned by three dogs but my little guy is just possibly the happiest, most fun dog in the world. I think this collection represents his personality just perfectly.

I started by swiping some texture paste over the "Mmm Pie" Mini Stencil before drying with a heat gun.. Then I diluted the  Raspberry Punch Flutter Colour paint with some water, spritz my page with water and then painted on a wash of the colour using a large, soft paintbrush. I spritzed with a bit more water, blotted with scrunched up paper towel and then dried with a heat gun. I diluted a little of the Orange Goldfish paint also and flicked that over the background.

Next I had some fun cropping, shuffling around and layering some of the photo cards until I had my design right. A quick staple held them all in place so I could add easily to my layout.

Then it was a matter of adding my photo, title and scattering embellishments across my layout.

Here's what I used:

Next up is a layout I created for the Scrapbooking Top 50 February Challenge.

'Happy Dog' Layout

I love a good sketch! Who doesn't right? It makes it so easy to create a layout without having to think too hard about the design.

I followed my usual formula for creating my layouts: stencil✓ texture paste ✓ water spritzing ✓ diluted paint applied in a watercoloury (I know it's not even a word) fashion ✓ layer upon layer of stuff ✓ a scattering of embellishments ✓.

Hey, when the formula works you might as well stick to it. LOL

I cut some pennants from the filler photo cards too and snuck in there under the photo. I purposely chose a tiny photo just so I could stick it in that oh so cute wood veneer frame.

Here's what I used:

***Please note: the tiny little wood veneer hearts are NON Flutterby randoms***

Well that is all from me today! I hope I have inspired you to scrap your own little cutie. Don't forget to share your creations in the Flutterby Inspiration HQ Facebook Group.

Cheers
Belinda

Show Time by Lauren Hender

Hi Everyone!
Welcome back to the Fluttery Designs blog.

Today I am sharing a project life stay layout using some fabulous Flutterby goodies. On Boxing Day last year my family and I decided to go to a local annual show. It was a great night, we had fun and I took some fabulous photos of the kids having fun. What can be challenging though is scrapbooking night time or dark photos. Fluttery has this sorted though producing a number of themed cards that suit the darker or night time shots.

In this layout I have used some Everyday Etc Cards, Flutterby Speech bubbles, and the signature Flutterby flairs. Flutterby makes scrapbooking project life easy. There bold colours and titles make for a layout that draws peoples attention.

The Project Life page protectors are also wonderful. They allow the pockets to hold a bit of bulk which makes them perfect for Flutterby Flairs.

I hope this layout inspires you to pull out your sets of Everyday Etc cards and create some quick and easy project life layouts.

Spencer & The Crazy Cat Lady | Krisy Podolak

Hi-Ho Flutterby Lovelies.

Krisy back today to share a layout featuring the new "Fur-Ever" friends collection.  I will be honest when I saw this collection my heart sank.  Just a bit.  The reason was because we don't have any pets. We used to have bulldog before we had kids with the intention of getting another but then we had kids. And you know kids are kinda like pets...aren't they?!? Just Kidding.

All that being said, within a week I had smashed out 8 layouts using this collection. Yes, I got a little creative with some of them but some I did manage to use for their right intention.  Today, I am going to share two.

The first was the 8th layout I created from this collection.  I had plans for a layout but then things changed on Saturday.  This layout features my best friends cat, Spencer.  I had planned to make a funny layout but then on Saturday, my BF Sarah, told me Spence was a little bit off and had to make a weekend visit to the vet.  On Monday after a grim diagnosis Spencer was put to sleep.  So I changed my funny layout to something Sarah could hang on her wall.  I framed and delivered it before she got home from work.

I used a few different cards From the Everyday Etc cards to create the base and then fussy cut the words so they didn't take up too much space.  I mounted the Purr-fect on some foam squares to add some dimension.
For the background I used the "You Spin Me Right Round" Stencil  with some Colour Blast Colour Spray, then stamped over the top for a bit more visual interest.

Here are a few close ups...

Sarah loved it.

Now here is another layout layout I did.  I thought I would never manage to use the cat cards from this collection, then on a day last week when it was close to a MILLION degrees (Queensland summer temperature at 40 degrees celcius) my daughter decided the it was too hot for clothes but totally suitable for a cat beanie.  She wouldn't wear the damn thing in winter and I have no idea where she got it from but Freaking Crazy is the only way to describe her.

As this layout isn't technically about real live cats, I took colour inspiration from the card that says "Crazy Cat Lady", teamed it up with this piece of paper from Kaisercraft, added some Colour Blast Heavy White Gesso to "dull" it down just a bit, added a splash of Colour Blast Shimmer Dust in Lollipop and then stamped over the top.  For more texture and "mess" I added some Flutter Paint swirls over the top. I just used the Pink and Orange from the Original Rainbow set but the brights would have been awesome too.  But OH MY GOD! How hard is it waiting for these to dry.   This technique is not one I do very often. I am not a scrapper than can pre-prepare backgrounds, I like to start and finish one at a time and I didn't want to hit this one with the heat gun as I didn't want the paint to bubble.  I wanted it to keep its' form.  Thankfully it was another warm Queensland day, and it only took just over an hour (with a little help from the heat gun at the end).

Then I layered some random papers with the Pink paw card from the Everyday Etc Collection to form the matte behind my photo.  To finish the layout I cut up the title card, added the Crazy die cut from the Mad About You collection along with a YOU flair button and some orange and yellow hearts.  \

Here are a few close ups.

Thank you for stopping by today.  I will be back next month with some more crazy layouts using the NEW "Fur-ever Friends" Collection.

Krisy xx

One Spoilt Cat | Sue Plumb

Hi everyone!
Sue here with you today to share another layout featuring the brand new 'Fur-ever Friends' collection (and my new kitty too!) As with all Flutterby collections, I just love the bright, fun colours in this one; which makes it perfect for creating layouts about those furry or feathered members of the family.

I started this page by adding some subtle texture and colour to my newsprint patterned paper. I used the new Bubble O'Fun stencil to first add some texture paste to random areas of my paper, then used a few drops of Flutter Colour paint added to some water to add some light colour to the textured areas. I then drizzled some white Flutter Colour paint over the top.

I created a mat for my photo by layering together several of the Fur-ever Friends Filler Cards; and then fussy cut the spoilt cat portion of my title from one of the Fur-ever Friends Everyday Etc Cards. The remainder of my title was created using some die cut pieces from the Mad About You Die Cut Bits & Bobs pack; some printed words; alphabet stickers and a word sticker from the Fur-ever Friends Sticky Quotes sheet. (The cute little cat is from the Sticky Quotes sheet as well.) Tucked in amongst the layers under my photo was also a spoilt page tab from the Fur-ever Friends Page Tabs.

Underneath my photo I layered one of the new Fur-ever Friends wood veneer frames, along with some messy black cotton thread. I then added a flair button from the Fur-ever Friends - Cat set directly onto my photo and popped one of the black Tiny Sticky Quotes beneath my photo.

To tie in with the wood veneer frame I had used, I also added some wood veneer small hearts around my page. The small embellishment cluster at the bottom of my page included one; along with a die cut from the Fur-ever Friends Die Cut Bits & Bobs pack and another black Tiny Sticky Quote.

To finish my page, I added some stamping; black mist splatters and a quick line of journaling.

If you haven't got your hands on any of the newest products yet, make sure you head over to the Flutterby Designs store HERE and check out the new range! (There is even a Fur-ever Friends kit that includes some kit exclusives!)
I will be back in a couple of weeks with another project to share with you. Until then, happy scrapping!

Purr-fect.... Black cat love.

As far as crazy cat ladies go, I am definitely in the running to win that award... I collect black cats, and we currently have 4 fur babies... Skinny, Ninja Kitty, Zeusy and Obi... when I saw this new range I wont lie, I did a little imaginary fist pump, it was made for me!

Here is my first layout featuring our only girl kitty, Ninja. She gets her name because she is literally the most stealth-y-ist cat ever. She comes and goes as she pleases and you would never even know she is there. She not to most affectionate cat, having been rescued from under a neighbours house as stray at a few months of age. But she will come and give random night snuggles, and your know when she just needs some love...

Ive used the 'Fur-ever Friends' Everyday Etc Cards as well as the 'Fur- Ever Friends' Filler cards as the bones of my layout, and utilised the 'Fur-ever Friends' Sticky Quotes as my matching embellishments.

Have you got your hands in this range yet??

Love ya guts, with Ros Madley

Hi everyone.  My page today features the gorgeous Wild Bohemian Everyday Etc Filler cards.   This is one of my fave ever collections.  Awesome colours and the patterns.
My background started with a little stamping and water colours.

I love a lot of 'white space' on a layout and this collection is perfect for these types of pages.  Lots of little elements that can be cut out.
I've cut little chevrons, some stitching and a black arrow and layered them in a little photo stack.

On top of the cluster I have used another fave, Love ya guts flair button.  I am a little in love with this button.  There's a cute little Page Tab poking out the top.

My layout has been finished off with a little cluster down the bottom corner to balance my page.  Again I have just used elements cut from the filler cards and spread a few enamel dots around my page.

Hope you've been inspired.

Purr-fect Stalker

Hello!!

Belinda here today to share two layouts I have created with the brand new, totally fabulous FUR-EVER FRIENDS collection.

The colours in this collection are so vibrant and bright and a perfect match for the brilliant new Flutter Colour paints! I have had my very first play with these paints and I am super impressed with the results.

Here's my first layout.

'Purr-fect Love' Layout

I started by applying some molding paste through the I {heart} You Mini Stencil. I repeated this until I had enough stencil work to be visible around my central photo area.

Next I chose paints to co-ordinate with the photo cards I was going to use and diluted each one with some water. I spritzed my layout with water around the stenciled area and then flicked the colour over this area using a soft, wet paintbrush.

Next, I cropped my photo cards and played around with the arrangement until I was happy. A quick staple or two held everything together so I could add it quickly to my background without anything shifting. I love using staples this way because I know (from experience) that if I take it apart to add tape to the back I will never get it back the same way. LOL

Next I layered on some messy strands of embroidery thread, my photo and all embellishments.

I created my title by fussy cutting the 'purr-fect' from a photo card. I also cut apart the wood veneer 'Hello Love' so that I could use the 'Love'. I haven't wasted the 'Hello' part though! Scroll down to see how I used that. :-)

Here's what I used:

FUR-EVER FRIENDS:

- Arctic White
- Grape Soda
- Green limousine
- Tropicana Teal

And now for something a little more on the dark side.

'Hello Stalker' Layout

I love this photo of my Burmese cat, Noodle, giving me stink eye through the hole in her activity centre. She is the sweetest natured cat but always manages to look feral in photos.

Check out how beautifully bright the Flutter Colour paints are on the dark background!! And that is after I watered them down for a more watercolour effect. Pretty cool huh?

I created a wash of colour over my background and then splattered a lot of colour over it too using a soft wet paintbrush.

Then I added a little detail with the gorgeous NEW Shake Your Tail Feather Stencil and some molding paste.

Next I layered on my cropped photo cards, photo, embellishments and title. And there is the 'Hello' from the 'Hello Love' Wood Veneer that I cut in half. I couldn't resist using the cheeky quote cut from the photo cards too.

Here's what I used:

FUR-EVER FRIENDS:

- Orange Goldfish
- Raspberry Punch
- Sunshine Yellow

I hope you love this collection as much as I do and feel inspired to scrap your own furry friends. I have lots more to come so keep an eye out for my next post later this month.

Cheers
Belinda
