"Happy Birthday Mak!" by Allara Bamforth

Hello Wednesday!

Today I wish my youngest daughter Makenzi, a Happy 17th Birthday! And to celebrate, I've created a layout featuring one of my favourite pics of her.

To start off this layout I've picked some Flutter Colour Paint in the colours Fire Engine, Sunshine Yellow and Raspberry punch and just randomly brayered them over my background in kind of a diamond shape. Once dry I've used the Halftone Stencil with some transparent gel medium at the top, bottom and two sides of the painted area. Once the gel medium is dry I've used the Distress Oxide Ink in Broken China and just lightly inked over the stencilled areas.

Through the middle I've used some of my favourite 'Wild Bohemian' Everyday etc cards and cut out some of the shapes and designs. Added to this I've used some stitch stamps from my stash to add some interest.

Using the fabulous brand new stencil 'Arty Farty', I picked some words that I think match Mak's spirit and coloured them in with black artliner and then traced them around with white posca.

To finish off I've added some black thread. Randomly added some Neon enamel dots. And popped on an oldie but goodie Flair Button 'Now'.

Really like how this layout came together and I think it's bright, joyous and fun - just like my girl Mak.

Till next post,

Wild Sisters | Tamara Buckler

Hey Hey Ladies,

Tamara here today to share another layout with you. This one is a little different for me, a little bit minimalistic and less messy than normal.

I have been loving all the black and white backgrounds that have been getting around lately, and I really wanted to give it a go, but I didn't want to do something I haven't seen before. I flicked through our stencil designs to see if there was a pattern I could replicate freehand, and came up with the 'On the Plus Side' stencil. I used a dry, wide flat brush and some Black Mayhem Flutter Colour Paint, and painted the plus symbol in a grid pattern. I then watered down the paint and flicked it all over the paint to create the black splatters.

I love how this background turned out, and I didn't want to cover it up too much, so I decided to just create lots of layers behind my pics to add interest and texture. I scoured through all of the ranges that I had on hand to find Everyday Etc Cards that matched the colours of my daughter's swimmers. I love mixing up the collections, especially when there is a NEW COLLECTION coming out (26 Feb!!! Don't miss it!) because it feels like I am using up some of my stash to make way for new goodies.

I added a tab that from the 'hello' fussy cuts, as well as one of our Flair Buttons. I altered it using a White Tiny Sticker quote (I have used these under my pic and title as well). I have tucked in some enamel dots as well.

The title is fussy cut from a Wild Bohemian Everyday Etc Cards , and I used the rest of the fussy cut above to create a frame for it to rest upon. I added in some thickers from my stash, and I feel like this pulled in all the beautiful colours from Everyday Etc paper layers.

That's it from me today. Looking forward to sharing with you all again soon!

Big Loves,
Tam xo

Chase your dreams, with Ros Madley

Hi Everyone!
Todays layout features my absolute, totally favourite Flutterby Design Collection.
Wild Bohemian.
I got so excited when I found a few pieces left in my stash.

My background has been done with my gelli plate, a stencil and Tropicana Teal Flutter Colour Paint.  Gorgeous colour.

My photo stack has been done using all the little left over strips in this collection.  The shaped elements on this layout have been cut from the Everyday Etc Cards.

All finished off with some Tiny Sticky Quotes and my usual, Enamel Dots.

Hope you've been inspired ♥

Jrn School Leader 2017 - Skai Mitchell

Hey Scrappy peeps..

I'm popping in for a shameless 'mummy brag moment' for my share this week. My daughter Trinity attends a private school that is K-12, so Year 4 leadership nominations to them is the equivalent to Year 6 Captains in public school.
It was kinda' a deal!

Out of 45 students, she was one of 6 to be voted in as a Jnr School leader... (4 of whom were teachers kids).. so to say we are proud is an understatement.

I have pulled out an older collection to create this layout. Ive used pieces from the 'Super Cool' Everyday Etc cards to matt my photos and create my layers.

For my title I've inked the letters with Tim Holtz distress inks through the 'Got Letters' Stencil, then traced back over them with a super fine Micron pen. Add to that some of the 'Blackboard' Sticky Alphas and you have a catchy headline for your layout.

Hope you like my grungy layout this week, and dont forget to share your creations on the Flutterby Inspiration HQ page!

Welcome to our Tribe.

Sometimes I still have to pinch myself when I see my photo alongside these awesome ladies!!!

Being chosen to be a Flutterby Designs design team member has been one the highlights of my year so far, only because I was a huge fan girl of the boss lady (Anita Rodway) before hand, and I had been following her work for a while..

This is probably my most favourite collection, WILD BOHEMIAN and one I've used over and over again.

I've started on my Marshmallow cardstock and taped a sunburst stencil to it. Then I got messy with the Flutter Colour Paints. I've applied them to the cardstock straight from the bottle, and given them ample drying time before I have taken the stencil off.

Next, start your layers. Ive used bits from the WILD BOHEMIAN Everyday Etc Cards and the WILD BOHEMIAN Filler Cards, and machine stitched around the edges to give it some grungy texture.

Add in some Enamel Dots in NEONWhite Sticky Quotes, a tiny Wheel wood veneer and a super cool flare (No.415) and you have one super rockin' page!

Love ya guts, with Ros Madley

Hi everyone.  My page today features the gorgeous Wild Bohemian Everyday Etc Filler cards.   This is one of my fave ever collections.  Awesome colours and the patterns.
My background started with a little stamping and water colours.

I love a lot of 'white space' on a layout and this collection is perfect for these types of pages.  Lots of little elements that can be cut out.
I've cut little chevrons, some stitching and a black arrow and layered them in a little photo stack.

On top of the cluster I have used another fave, Love ya guts flair button.  I am a little in love with this button.  There's a cute little Page Tab poking out the top.

My layout has been finished off with a little cluster down the bottom corner to balance my page.  Again I have just used elements cut from the filler cards and spread a few enamel dots around my page.

Hope you've been inspired.
