Look Around ll Chrissi Mannix

Hello Lovelies
Today I have an Art Journal page I made using using some new Flutterby Designs stencils and the new Parent of the Year Collection.
I started with some of the Flutter Colour Paint and my brayer. I just started applying paint to my page. I did this a few times, then i added in some black to give the page some contrast. To bring that yellow back to the foreground, I applied more yellow over the top of the black. In the end I do like how it turned out- I'm not usually a black and yellow person, reminds me of bumble bees lol but I do love bright colours paired with black. I also used the new Love art foamies, to add a bit more to my background.
To add some texture to my page and add more contrast, I used white gesso through the new No Fucks Given Stencil. I love the added touch it gives the page. Then I found a quote I liked in the Parent of the Year Every Day Etc Cards. I fussy cut it into strips and used it as my focal point for my page.
On the other side of my spread, I decided not to use the same stencil, instead using the love art foamies. I like the contrast the two elements have, and how they relate to the quotes on their specific pages. To make them stand out more, I drew around some hearts with a white paint pen, and coloured them in, just to bring some of that white to the page.
I hope you like my art journal page, and don't forget to check back to see what else the girls do with the awesome new Parent of the Year Collection.

Parenthood || by Elisa Ablett

Hi Flutterby Fans,

My turn up on the blog today with my latest creation, a colourful fun layout featuring the awesome new collection - Parent of the Year with new Art Foamies Stamps!!

The new collection is funny, eye catching and completely unique with loads of relatable quotes for all the parents out there.

Here are the products used from the Flutterby Online Shop: some of the clearance items may no longer be available due to the recent Flutterby retreat, some of those ladies went mad at the retreat and bought the whole shop I reckon..... full disclosure - I might've been one of them 😂

Other products include:

Distress Oxide Ink Pads
Black Gesso

Here are some close ups for the finer details:

Fussy cut a frame from a Filler card or photo cut apart sheet
and adhere at an angle to draw focus to your photo.

Create a unique rainbow stencilled background by using a blending tool and different coloured inkpads through a Word Stencil. Hold the stencil still using washi tape while you blend.

Stamp and fussy cut your 'This Way' Art Foamies stamps and colour using watercolours and a paint brush to match your background. Use the triangles to draw your eye to your photos and title.

Use your 'Make your mark' Art Foamies to make a border. To get a smooth even coating of paint on your Art Foamies, use a brayer and brayer paint from a craft messy mat onto your stamp.

I literally laughed out loud when I saw this quote, it's so true, my husband and I adore our puppy cuddles when we come home from work. The kids meanwhile just ask when dinner will be ready lol.

Thanks for stopping by the blog, make sure you leave some love in the comments, remember I have teenagers and rely on the dog for a happy hello 👉😂😂😂

Hugs

'The Talk' | Allara Bamforth

Happy Friday Friends!

Especially Happy Friday for me, as I am jetting off  today overseas on a 2 week adventure without the husband or children. And I'm sure I'll make 'Parent of the Year' posting this funny photo and meme of my eldest daughter before I head out of the country, (and I won't be able hear about it!)

Lucky for me Flutterby Designs new collection is 'Parent of the Year', I think I'm winning at this right now.

So I've taken my white cardstock and used Flutter Colour Paint - Small Set in Raspberry Punch and Orange Goldfish to create a circular smudge as the base. Over the top of this I've used the fabulous new 'This Way' Art Foamies with black archival ink and some distress oxide ink to create a focal point for my photo. Using the 'Bright like a Diamond' stencil, I've added some more interest around the photo.

My photo is matted in Everyday Etc Filler cards from the Parent of the Year collection and the little quote is cut from the Everyday Etc Cards. To this I've added a Flair button and found a Sticky Quote to add to the side.

I felt like I need to bring some blue into the picture to blend in with the photo and I found some ink sprays that I haven't used for a while and splattered those randomly across the picture.

Thanks for taking a peek at my post.

Jurassic Park | Rachel Dutko

Hi everyone!
Rachel back with you, and today I am sharing a layout
using the brand new 'Parent Of The Year' collection.

I created my background using some Sphere Slices Art Foamies and a rainbow of acrylic paints.
I doodled around the stamped spheres with a black pen.

I then traced through the
(appropriately named!) Migraine Madness stencil with the same black pen.

My next step was to squirt some Black Mayhem Flutter Colour Paint to add
to the madness of the background!

Because my background was so busy I kept embellishments to a minimum,
only adding a couple of stickers from the Sticky Quotes sheet.

I added an Everyday Etc card for my title, and added
a couple of colourful Everyday Etc filler cards underneath.

I finished off my layout with some black splatters.

Head over to the shop to check out what's new.

Thanks for looking

Just Like You ll Chrissi Mannix

Hello Lovelies
Chrissi here today, playing with the new collection "Parent of the Year".

This is a fantastic collection, with some awesome quotes and elements for all those parenting moments. The layout I've made, would have to be my absolute favourite to date.
Starting with the Parent of the Year paper pack, I then came in with the green flutterby paint and applied the paint to the create a mat for my photo. Then I dripped and flicked paint straight from the bottle to create some texture.
To add something more to my background, I used the new "Love" art foamies with some gesso, and added that over the top of the green paint. I love the contrast and texture this created.
I've used 2 smaller sized photos, but I wanted to mat them together. I used the Every day etc filler cards, to create my layers. Using white and black paint pens, I doodled around my photos and layers.
As I do love to do so often, I used the Every Day Etc quote cards to make my title. I love the quotes Anita uses in her collections, and this one was too perfect for these pictures of my monkey getting his art on, just like his mama.
I adore how this layout turned out, it is def one of my favourite layouts.
I hope you have as much fun with this collection, as I am.

'This is Us' || by Elisa Ablett

Hi Flutterby Fans,

Elisa here from the design team with my first inspiration of the month, a bright and fun layout featuring the Happily Ever After collection and those awesome Art Foamies stamps which I seem to have a 'thing' for at the moment😉.

This layout is for my Sister and Brother in law, sharing their love for each other as they go through an extremely tough time. So not only are they the 'spring in each other's step', 'or the ketchup to their fries' they are each other's favourite pain in the ass. lol

The combination of the Colour paint and art foamies in the background is a winner winner chicken dinner for me at the moment, i can't get enough of the easy to use - Art Foamies. Keep an eye out in store as I believe there will be new designs out soon.

Products used from the store for this layout -

Let's take a look at the close ups!

Together Love | Allara Bamforth

Good Morning!

Allara here on the blog today with a quick stash busting layout using some bits and bobs of my favourite Flutterby Collections with a photo of myself and my soon to be 18 year old daughter when she is just 5 months old.

To start this layout I have chosen some Distress Oxide Inks and painted them on in a watercolour fashion, so that they blend together. I swiped the ink on my background mat first then spritzed with water and placed dircctly onto my white cardstock. The oxide inks blend beautifully together and also remain quite vibrant. I heat set them and then flick some of the colours over the top as well.

Next I've used the Art Foamie Noughts and Crosses stamp and just very faintly used some of the distress oxide to stamp over this background, I didn't want anything to prominent. Using a white Paint Marker I'ved traced around a couple of the noughts and crosses so they stand out.

The basis of my design was built from the 'Love' Strip I cut from the 12 x 12 Forever and Ever paper from the Happily Ever After Collection.

From the 12 x 12 Cut out sheet from the We Are collection I've cut out the Heart card and then matted that with various Everyday Etc cards which colout co-ordinated with my design.

A few stickers from the 'Sticky Quick Quotes' from the We Are collection were also used as well as the title 'Together' and couple of hears stuck around the page.

Once again with Flutterby Designs products I was able to produce a lovely quick and impressive layout without spending hours trying to come up with an elaborate design. These pages just seem to come together so quickly as all the pieces from different collections just seems to blend together.

Till next post,

You Rock | Rachel Dutko

Hi everyone!
Rachel back with you, and I have a stash-busting layout to share with you today.

I have used bits and pieces from a few different collections,
but the beauty of Anita's design style means all the collections work so well together.

To create my background I applied some Flutter Colour paint in
Orange Goldfish onto white cardstock with a dry brush.
I then applied some Colour Blast Colour Paste through a Mmm Pie stencil.

I layered some Everyday Etc cards under my photos.
I have used cards from the 'Good Vibes Only',
'We Are' and 'Magical AF' collections.

I have used the 'You Rock' pieces from the Magical AF Die Cut Bits & Bobs pack as my title.

I have added some page tabs, sticky snippets, a flair, enamel dots
and some Die Cut Bits and Bobs to embellish my page.
I also added a heart from Charm's Creations.

I finished off my page with some black ink splatters.
