I am a Queen, with Ros Madley

OMG, how freakin inspiring is the We Run the World collection!!

I can see that I will be using every tiny little leftover piece from this one.
There's so much to choose from, the quotes are amazing and the cards are gorgeous.

I was also pretty stoked to find some cards with flowers.  So something I wasn't expecting from this collection.  But then, I think celebrating being a woman is not just about strength and independence, it's also about freedom and being able to show a little girly girl when you want.

This background was done with some Grape Soda Flutter Colour Paint.  I've been in the process of moving house and packed up most of my supplies.  In hindsight, I perhaps should have left out some paint brushes.  Maybe then I wouldn't have had to slap some paint down with a piece of paper towel ♥
The awesome stencil, He Said She Said, has been used with a black texta also.  I chose just to use the female shape on this page.

The circle around my photo has been cut from an Everyday Etc Card (so have the flowers ♥) and the title.  These have all been outline with a black sharpie to help them stand out a little.
I have embellished this with a flair button and a little crown Die Cuts.

Finishing off I have a Page Tab, some Die Cuts, Sticky Quotes and some Enamel Dots.

Hope you've been inspired ♥

Pinkfest | Belinda Spencer

Hello Flutterby Peeps!!

Belinda here today to share a couple of layouts with you. And they both are very PINK!

The first layout I created a couple of weeks ago using bits and pieces from different collections. But then my DT kit with all of the fabulous NEW stuff arrived and I had to create with it straight away!! So I thought I would keep the pink flowing by focusing on those elements in the We Run The World collection.

'Sweetheart'

So I started this layout by mixing up some Raspberry Punch and Arctic White Flutter Colour Paints. I then swiped it across the layout with a palette knife.

I then stapled on some strips cut from Mad About You Filler Photo Cards before swiping over the edges with some of the leftover paint.

Next I layered on some messy embroidery thread as well as fussy cuts and a polaroid frame before adding my photo and all of the cute bits and pieces.

Here's what I used:
Die Cut Bits & Bobs: Mad About You

Next up is my layout featuring the BRAND NEW We Run The World Collection.

'Beautiful Girl'

For this layout, I was super excited to use the stunning new patterned papers. I LOVE the patterned papers so much and the titles of them are just perfect. I used the "Diana" paper for this one. I started by adding the same mix of Flutter Colour Paint to my background. I diluted the paints with water and also spritzed some water onto my layout to make sure I got the paint really flowing and moving about my page. Once it was dry I flicked some of the paint over the layout too.

Next I grabbed the super sweet Sugar Sprinkles Stencil and applied texture paste over it to create some lovely 3D sprinkles. I let that dry and then used a white Posca Pen to highlight some of the sprinkles.

Then I did my usual and added lots of layers of embroidery thread, filler photo cards and cute embellishments.

Here's what I used:
We Run The World:
- "Diana" patterned paper
- Everyday Etc Filler Photo Cards
- Everyday Etc Photo Cards
- Die Cut Bits & Bobs
- Polaroid Cut Outs
- Sticky Quick Quotes
- Sugar Sprinkles Stencil

I hope you are feeling inspired now to go forth and play with your Flutterby supplies. I hope the postie is kind to you too and your order arrives super quick! Make sure you share all of your gorgeous creations in the Facebook Inspiration HQ group so we can leave some love!

Thanks for stopping by.

Be Strong Enough | Tamara Buckler

Hey Hey Flutterby Peeps,

It' s a big week at Flutterby HQ, as not one, but two new ranges are being released on Friday night!! Today I'm here to share with you my first layout created with the awesome new 'We run the world' collection. I love the messages in this collection, it's all about girl power, and taking control of our own power and destiny. On top of that the colours and design are divine! This range is fabulous not only to scrapbook about ourselves, but our daughters, and other wonderful powerful women in our loves.

Here's a sneek peak of the range...

My layout today features a selfie, and a quote from the Everyday Etc. Photo Cards that really spoke to me. I often have trouble asking for help, but this reminded me that is not showing weakness to do so.

I started this layout by spreading some black Flutter Colour Paint in 3 horizontal lines, I did this to play on the black and white stripe design on one of the Everyday Etc Filler Cards. I then used some watercolour crayons in blue, purple and teal to mimic some of the colours in the range, and used a lot of water and the packaging technique to apply this to the page. I then splattered black ink all over the background.

I layered up a heap of the Everyday Etc. Filler cards behind my photo, in the same colours as I have used in the background. I also added this B&W circle patterned card, which I just love. This design is coming out in limited release 12x12 paper, and I have to have it!!

I cut the title strips out of the Everyday Etc. Photo Card, matted them on some of the teal coloured papers from the Filler Cards and then popped them up on some foam to provide some separation from the busy, dark background. I also added one of the Flair Buttons from the new range, I love this triangle design that runs through this range, and backed it with some black thread.

To finish off the page, I added a page tab to the left of my photo, and tucked some black thread behind it. This helped to tidy up my layers behind my photo, and also repeated the colours and the triangle pattern. As a final touch, I added some more black stamping and splatters, because, why not?

Thanks for stopping by today to check out my layout, and make sure you are all set for the new release on Friday the 24th over at Flutterby HQ - you can join the event here.

I look forward to seeing you all then!

Big Loves,
Tam x

We Are Family | Sue Plumb

Hi Flutterby peeps!
Sue Plumb here today to share another design team project with you. Today, I have a mixed media page that features a fabulous painty background and a mix of collections. This page features a photo of my sister and I that was taken at the Flutterby 'Create by the Lake' retreat. I was really drawn to this photo because of the awesome backdrop we were standing in front of, so I wanted to translate some of that colour and style through to my background.

I started with some white cardstock and Flutter Colour paints - Bahama BlueTropicana TealAquamarine Dream; and Green Limousine. I splattered drops of the four colours randomly around before using a brayer to mix and spread the paints vertically on the page. I then dried the paint with a heat gun before applying a small amount of Grape Soda paint to the central focal area of my page and spreading it across horizontally with the brayer. Next, I added a few random spots of Arctic White paint around the page and spread that on top of the other layers to tone the colour back a bit.

Once all the paint had dried; I took some Colour Blast 'Indigo' Colour Spray and used the end of the spray nozzle from the bottle to scribble around on top of the paint to give it more of that "street art" feel. Next, I took the 'You've Got This' stencil, and applied some texture paste through a few of the phrases randomly around the page. Finally, I splattered around some 'Bubblegum' Colour Spray and then set it aside to dry; then added a few scribbles using my Stabilo all pencil.

While the background was drying, I started assembling the pieces that would form the mat for my photo. I used a mix of Everyday Etc cards and filler cards (from the 'Flawsome''Happy Together' and 'No Excuses' collections); which I cut and layered together. Once all the pieces were in place, I added my photo on top.

The we are family title for my page was fussy cut from one the the 'Happy Together' Everyday Etc cards; and I added a small wood veneer heart on top (that I had coloured black with a Sharpie); along with a few other hearts around my page.

To the left of my title, I stuck the love you longtime sticker, from the white Sticky Quotes sheet. Above my photo I added the you & me speech bubble and on my photo I added the you're my person banner (both from the 'Mad About You' Die Cut Bits & Bobs pack.)

To finish my page, I added the good vibes flair button (from set #421), which I nested on some messy cotton thread and a few splatters of white ink around the page.

That's all from me today. I will be back in a couple of weeks with another project to share.
Until then, happy scrapping!

LIKE A STRIPPER LOVES GLITTER - OUT OF MY WAY CHARMING | KRISY PODOLAK

Hi Flutterby Lovelies,

Krisy here a bit early to share some inspiration with you.  Today I want to share two layouts with you.  They are very different to each other but both use the Everyday etc cards.  If you are like me, then when you receive your Everyday Etc cards in the post you think, how am I going to use these!?  Some of the sayings don't really apply to what I am currently scrapping or aren't phrases I would use...So how do you use them??

Well, I like to cut them up and use them as word strips or individual words.  By doing it this way, I can customise them to my layouts and what I want to say.

This first layout came about by the word glitter.  And well who loves glitter more than me or a stripper??

I cut up the glitter card, then I jused some alpha tiles to make up the rest of the title.  I teamed it with some word stickers and a Flutterby Flair button.
Here are a few close ups:

For the next layout I used the same technique but I drew inspiration from one of the cards - Be your own hero.  I decided to team it up with a galaxy background.  This technique is very popular among art journallers at the moment.  To make it a little more interesting, I used my Flutterby Stencils, some clear embossing powder and my watermark stamp pad to create a resist.  Then I applied layers of watercolour paints.

I used a range of sticker to create my title and the fairytale images are from an old book I saved from a Lifeline book sale.  I'd like to note too that Cindy is actually a crossfit workout but honestly if Cinderella made eyes at me I wouldn't have to think twice. :P

I hope I have inspired you to look at your Everyday Etc cards in a different way.  I can't wait to see what you all create.  Make sure you share them in the inspirations group.

Krisy xx

Your are Loved, with Ros Aggett-Madley

Hello everyone, back again today with another page freaturing the Flawsome range.

My background is a mix of gelli printing and stamping.

I've used different cards and elements from the Everyday Etc Cards to layer up a photo stack.

The Flutterby Wood Veneer have been coloured with a Sharpie.  So quick and easy and no dry time.

I've used one of my favourite flair buttons and a sprinkle of Futterby Enamel Dots.  The cirlces in the background have been stamped on and cut from some Everyday Etc Cards.

This wood veneer was also coloured with a Sharpie, has a bit of a wood look still.

Hope you've been inspired ♥

Happy Days | Belinda Spencer

Hi Flutterby Peeps!!

Belinda here today to share a monochromatic layout featuring the Blank Palette range.

'Happy Days' Layout

I love this photo of my darling son just chilling in front of the tv. He is such a sweet natured, funny and clever kid.

I used the 'Bright Like A Diamond' stencil and a black journalling pen to add some interest to my white background. Something a bit different to my usual backgrounds!

I have layered some of the photo cards under my photo and fussy cut the polaroid frame from a photo card also.

Did I mention that I LOVE fussy cutting? There are two types of crafters in this world I reckon; those that love fussy cutting and those that don't. I myself find it relaxing so I love finding titles and images to fussy cut from the photo cards as I have done here.

I added a scattering of the 'Circles' Wood Veneer and coloured them black using a black Posca Paint Pen.

I finished by adding a flair button and some Sticky Quick Quotes and a little bit of washi tape from my own stash.

Products used:
Wood Veneer 'Circles'

Have you tried a black and white layout before? It gives a pretty striking result don't you think?

I hope I have given you some inspiration to create your own monochromatic layout using fabulous Flutterby Designs products. Don't forget to share your awesome creations in the Flutterby Inspiration Group on Facebook so we can leave some love.

Thanks for stopping by.

Cheers
Belinda
