June Guest Designer Sarah Rosse - 'Mixed Media Cards'

I've got one more share from our June Guest DT,
Sarah Rosse.

Check out these awesome cards she has created!

"As soon as I saw these Fussy Cut files, I knew they could become the perfect pocket scrapbooking card or you could use them on a layout. I gelli printed on the cards to create the background, along with some stamping and layers cut from the Photo cards. Finished off with a few splats of black paint & using the 'On The Plus Side' stencil to add some texture, I love how they turned out. The white really stands out on the busy background."

June Guest Designer Sarah Rosse - 'Partner's In Crime'

This month we welcome our Guest DT,
Sarah Rosse :)

Here's a bit about Sarah:
"I have been scrapbooking for about 11 years and enjoy both traditional and pocket scrapbooking. I enjoy creating my own backgrounds and love everything mixed media! Paint, stencils and stamps are my go to products!! Love them!! My style is quite contemporary, usually with a lot of colour! My two boys aged 9 and 2 years are largely my inspiration for scrapping and memory keeping. I am a current design team member over at Scrapbooking Top 50 Australia, Use Your Stuff, Shop and Crop Scrapbooking"

Here is Sarah's first creation
'PARTNERS IN CRIME'

"As soon as I saw the 'Partners in Crime' collection, I immediately thought of my two boys!  They are the ultimate partners!  The black and white graphics in many of the Photo cards inspired this black and white themed layout.  I created my background using gesso and black acrylic paint then using the Flutterbys 'On The Plus Side' stencil I applied some gorgeous Colour Blast paste. I love the wooden veneer from this range and kept this raw to stand out against the background."

Life is a Great Big Canvas | Krisy Podolak

Hi Flutterby Lovelies,  It's Krisy here and I'm back to share a mixed media layout I created using the new Flutter Colour Paints.  These are my favourite new thing at the moment and I am trying to incorporate them in to all of my layouts.

For this layout I took inspiration from one of the Everyday Etc Wild Bohemian cards that has a messy mixed media background and I used my Gelli Plate to try and recreate something similar.  I added in some extra colours using my Kaisercraft paints and the colours worked well together.  Using the paints side by side I did realise the Flutterby Colour paints have a bit more body than the Kaisercraft ones as they are quite watery.  Something I wouldn't have noticed if I hadn't used them on the same layout.

To add more textures and messes to the background, I used the Flutterby stencils as a stencil and then turned them over and used them as a stamp also.  It is a great way to add more interest to the page. I also used Bubble wrap as a stamp and cardboard tubes.  Over the top of it all, I added some of Anita's signature paint swirls.  Then I layered on the embellishments. There is some Gyprock tape for more texture, some wood bits, page tabs and a flair button.

I really love how the background turned out and I am going to attempt something similar in my art journal.

As always there is a process video on my YouTube channel - POPLEOPOD but this one is just a process video of the background.  I thought the layout was fairly simple enough to see how it was put together.  Head over and have a look and let me know what you think!

Cutie Patootie - by Lauren Hender

Hi Everyone,

Popping in today to share a layout of my little girl using lots of yummy Flutterby Designs goodies.

The background was created using watercolor paints and some glass beads paste.

I then layered my project up with a treats paper bag, a couple of project life tags, and some tags.

The added feature embellishments are all Flutterby including the wood veneers, labels, photo tabs, acrylic dots and of course a flair button.

June shares from the Boss Lady ;)

Hi hi Flutterby Fans!!
It's the boss lady here - I thought it was time
I popped in & shared a few projects I've created
over the last several weeks. I've just started retreating again... & I LOVE being able to let my hair down & create with my people. Nothing better than having sore ab
muscles from being bent over laughing for so long.

'Hello Beautiful'

I've used the new 'Partners In Crime' collection.
I loved this sheet of Cocoa Vanilla Studio paper &
it looked like the perfect starting point. I've gone in
with some gesso & my Flutter Colour paints swooshes.
I then began piecing & layering the Everyday Etc cards
with my photo.

Finishing up with some doodling, Circle & Confetti Circles wood veneers, Flair button, Teal Sticky Snippets, Enamel dots & Partners In Crime Page Tabs. I've also used
a Charm's Creation Mini Heart.

I've used the 'I {heart} You' stencil with some glass
bead gel, plus some Flutter Colour paint, gesso & a bit
of Colour Blast paste. With a simple bit of layering, flair button, Page Tabs, doodling & title - it's done!

OH Snap | Krisy Podolak

Today I'm sharing a layout I created using the negative of a stencil I was working on for another project. I love the bright colours so I decided to team it up with the Everyday Etc cards because well, the bright colours all clash and work together at the same time.

To make the layout a little different I cut the cards into triangles. This technique is great for drawing the eye into the photo although with a photo like this one you don't really need to do that. For the final touches I added a Wood Frame and Flair button. These become the title of the layout as I opted not to use any other large words.

Here are a few more close ups....

There is a process video to go with this layout so you can see how I created the background. Just click here.

Massage Time - by Lauren Hender

Hi Everyone!!

Here is my latest layout for all the flutter lovelies out there.

This is my little girl having a massage. She loves them, though they can be challenging as she doesn't stay very still. Its very handy having a daddy who is a massage therapist.

In this layout I have use the flutterby heart stencil with some lipstick colorblast paste and some watercolor paints to build my background.

Heidi Swapp provided some perfect paper to help build my cluster surrounding my photos.
Flutterby photo tabs and labels are perfect to had a unique accent and we can't forget a flutterby flair button to complete the cluster and see it all come together.

Hope you like..
