Be Awesome Dudes | Rachel Dutko

Hi everyone!
Rachel back with you on the blog today.

Today I have a fun 'boy' layout to share of the three men in my life!

To create my background I have cut the 'Is It Bedtime Yet?' paper
using a cut file from Cut To You.

I have adhered the triangles with foam tape to lift the design up off the page.

I used an Everyday Etc card from the Extreme Teen collection for my title.

I added some Everyday Etc cards under my photo and title card.

I've added some stickers, and a quote from the
'Parent of the Year' Die Cut Bits & Bobs pack.

I added a flair button, a star from Charm's Creations, and some thread for interest.

I finished off my page with some ink splatters.
Thanks for looking

Just be Cool || Elisa Ablett

Hi Flutterby Fans,

Elisa here from the design team with my latest mixed media layout featuring those awesome new 'Flutterby Designs - Art Foamies Stamps - Fill It In' .

I came across this photo recently of my great nephew and my son who are only a month apart in age and are great friends, they are even in the same class at school! I wanted to scrap the photo with bright colours and a funky design as they are both pretty cool, fun kids.

I wanted to create a background using the Art Foamies stamps with the Flutter Colour Paint on mini rectangular gel plate. I stamped the Art Foamies with black paint after making a few prints onto my background - they are fabulous to use with paint!

Let's take a closer look -

Layer coordinating Flutterby Designs everyday-etc-cards behind your chosen photo and fussy cut your title from a past collection like 'Extreme Teen'. Add some wood veneer stars to draw your eye down the page around the photo.

Add some wood veener 'speech bubbles' and fussy cut a word or cheeky phrase from a past collection to fit in the bubble.

I added some dodgy....ahem distressed sewing or stitching to the right and left sides of my page. These are great for boy layouts!

Last elements for your design is to balance your page out by adding a small embellie cluster on the bottom left hand side including a speech bubble and wood veneer to match your page.

Thats it from me today,

Thanks for stopping by the blog and make sure you leave some love!

Hugs

Little Girls with Dreams become Women with Vision | Tamara Buckler

Hi All,

I'm back on the blog today to share with you a layout I created using some of the beautiful 12x12 paper from the We run the World Collection. The beautiful blue striped paper "Mrs Smith" was perfect for to document photos of my daughter and her netball friends at the recent State Champs that we attended.

I started this page by applying some modelling paste through the "Flawsome" stencil roughly in the centre of the page. I matted my pics with some patterned paper that I had laying around, and then began tucking some Everyday Etc Cards from We Run the World behind my photos. I also found various frames in Die Cut Bits and Bobs pack from the Flawsome collection to tuck behind the pictures. I ran a strip of the "Bev" paper from the 12x12 pack across the bottom of my photos to anchor them to the page.

Whilst I was looking through the Everyday Etc Cards, I found the "Little Girls with Dreams" quote, and new this was perfect for my title. The word 'dreams' was pink, but I used a sharpie to make it black to better suit my colour scheme. I built the cluster to the left of my pictures to highlight this phrase. I tucked in a Flair Button from the Extreme Teen collection, as well as a star from Charm's Creations.

I fussy cut some words and phrases from the Everyday Etc Cards to emphasize the strengths of our amazing netballers, and tucked these around the page. I also added quite a few die cut hearts from a number of different ranges to tie all the blue pieces on the layout together.

To finish the page off I added some black splatters, and some twine and it was done! Super easy and I really love the result.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Big Loves,
Tam x

You Rock - Allara Bamforth

Hello!

I'm up on the blog again today with a mish mash of fabulous Flutterby Goodies for a page I created with a photo from a recent concert I attended at Roche Estate in the Hunter Valley to see the band LIVE . It was their renuion tour and I have seen them plenty of times over the last 20 years and they were still fantastic as ever. The rain didn't dampen our spirits - especially after a couple of Canadian Clubs :) I love this photo of my brother, husband and son in their rain ponchos (they look like Teletubbies).

Products I have used in this layout from Flutterby Designs and the link to them are as follows:

Song for Another Time Stencil
Flutter Colur Paint - Bahama Blue and Aquamarine Dream
We Run the World 12x12 Paper - Beyonce
Everyday Etc Filler Cards - Flawsome
X-treme Teen Tickets
Flawsome Die-cuts Bibs and Bobs
Flawsome page tabs
Wood Veneer Bits
Blackboard Sticky Quick Quotes

Thanks for stopping by the blog. Make sure you stop by the shop and stock up on some fabulous goodies.

Pinkfest | Belinda Spencer

Hello Flutterby Peeps!!

Belinda here today to share a couple of layouts with you. And they both are very PINK!

The first layout I created a couple of weeks ago using bits and pieces from different collections. But then my DT kit with all of the fabulous NEW stuff arrived and I had to create with it straight away!! So I thought I would keep the pink flowing by focusing on those elements in the We Run The World collection.

'Sweetheart'

So I started this layout by mixing up some Raspberry Punch and Arctic White Flutter Colour Paints. I then swiped it across the layout with a palette knife.

I then stapled on some strips cut from Mad About You Filler Photo Cards before swiping over the edges with some of the leftover paint.

Next I layered on some messy embroidery thread as well as fussy cuts and a polaroid frame before adding my photo and all of the cute bits and pieces.

Here's what I used:
Die Cut Bits & Bobs: Mad About You

Next up is my layout featuring the BRAND NEW We Run The World Collection.

'Beautiful Girl'

For this layout, I was super excited to use the stunning new patterned papers. I LOVE the patterned papers so much and the titles of them are just perfect. I used the "Diana" paper for this one. I started by adding the same mix of Flutter Colour Paint to my background. I diluted the paints with water and also spritzed some water onto my layout to make sure I got the paint really flowing and moving about my page. Once it was dry I flicked some of the paint over the layout too.

Next I grabbed the super sweet Sugar Sprinkles Stencil and applied texture paste over it to create some lovely 3D sprinkles. I let that dry and then used a white Posca Pen to highlight some of the sprinkles.

Then I did my usual and added lots of layers of embroidery thread, filler photo cards and cute embellishments.

Here's what I used:
We Run The World:
- "Diana" patterned paper
- Everyday Etc Filler Photo Cards
- Everyday Etc Photo Cards
- Die Cut Bits & Bobs
- Polaroid Cut Outs
- Sticky Quick Quotes
- Sugar Sprinkles Stencil

I hope you are feeling inspired now to go forth and play with your Flutterby supplies. I hope the postie is kind to you too and your order arrives super quick! Make sure you share all of your gorgeous creations in the Facebook Inspiration HQ group so we can leave some love!

Thanks for stopping by.

Happy Days | Belinda Spencer

Hi Flutterby Peeps!!

Belinda here today to share a monochromatic layout featuring the Blank Palette range.

'Happy Days' Layout

I love this photo of my darling son just chilling in front of the tv. He is such a sweet natured, funny and clever kid.

I used the 'Bright Like A Diamond' stencil and a black journalling pen to add some interest to my white background. Something a bit different to my usual backgrounds!

I have layered some of the photo cards under my photo and fussy cut the polaroid frame from a photo card also.

Did I mention that I LOVE fussy cutting? There are two types of crafters in this world I reckon; those that love fussy cutting and those that don't. I myself find it relaxing so I love finding titles and images to fussy cut from the photo cards as I have done here.

I added a scattering of the 'Circles' Wood Veneer and coloured them black using a black Posca Paint Pen.

I finished by adding a flair button and some Sticky Quick Quotes and a little bit of washi tape from my own stash.

Products used:
Wood Veneer 'Circles'

Have you tried a black and white layout before? It gives a pretty striking result don't you think?

I hope I have given you some inspiration to create your own monochromatic layout using fabulous Flutterby Designs products. Don't forget to share your awesome creations in the Flutterby Inspiration Group on Facebook so we can leave some love.

Thanks for stopping by.

Cheers
Belinda

Awesome & #Cool | Krisy Podolak

Hi Flutterby Lovelies,

Krisy back today, I have 2 layouts to share.  Both are documenting 2 big things that happened this year.  One is my daughter, Poppy, started kindy and the other is my son, Leo's, first stay in hospital to have some blood vessels in his nose cauterised.

First, Kindy.  The background for this layout is made up of random left over thickers.   We all have them and this is a way to use them.  I added a few layers of Gesso and then some watercolour and inks and then embellished over the top.  It is a fun layout.

I embellished my background with some dissected Everyday Etc cards, a flair button and some Word Snippets from the Flutterby Shop.

Now on to Leo.  The procedure wasn't a very big one but because of his age, Leo had to be put under.  He wasn't phased at all by the hospital, the doctors.  It was only as he was going into the operating theatre that he was a little quiet.  Snapchat was something that I had recently down loaded and he was more interested in that.  He love the hair net, gown and bandages.  This photo is all about how cool as a cucumber he was.  The colours of the cards from the Everyday Etc Cards "Extreme Teen" collection matched the colours of the photo perfectly.

I also used Page tabs, flair buttons and the Knucklehead stencil from the Extreme teen range.

Who doesn't love a good Snapchat filter?! :)

The Only Limits | Krisy Podolak

Hi Flutterby Lovelies,

Today I have another layout to share with you using the "Extreme Teen" Collection but it is a page about me.

I am a keen crossfitter.  These photos were taken when I achieved my very first chest to bar pull up EVER!  It was only a year in the making. Crossfit is a slow process, but the more you keep at it the stronger you become.  It is frustrating the pain and time it takes to build up the muscles and mind set to achieve some of the harder movements.  A propery pull up is a very big achievement and it was in my First Open Workout so that too is special.  I use a few "Sentence Enhancers" in real life so it was only fitting for my layout too.

I used the Everyday Etc cards, the Knucklehead stencil and a few other bits from the Extreme Teen collection.  They suit my photo and layout perfectly.

I will be back later in the month with my second July share, right in the middle of the Flutterby "Create by the Lake" retreat.  I can't wait.  Check out my instagram to see the journey.  Sue Plumb and I are roadtripping down with Sue's sister Mandy, I will document the drive and retreat in pictures if you would like see.  My instagram is @popleopod.
