My Sunshine | Belinda Spencer

Hello Flutterby lovelies!

Belinda here with you today to share my first layout for April featuring the fabulous new Good Vibes Only collection.

'My Sunshine' Layout

I used the 'Good Vibes Only' 12 x 12 patterned paper for the base of my layout and added a few squirts of Flutter Colour paint in Orange Goldfish and Sunshine Yellow. I then swiped it across the paper using a Prima Silicone Brush and set a side to dry.

Once the paint was dry, I diluted some Green Limousine paint with a little water and flicked it over the layout.

My daughter just so happened to be wearing her pineapple dress to the zoo on Easter Sunday. Alright I made her wear it so I would have a photo for my layout. I didn't have to twist her arm too much though as she wanted to wear it. LOL

Anyway I chose as many pineapple inspired bits from the collection as I could starting with the photo cards and filler photo cards. I cut them to size and added across my background.

I mounted the photo on white cardstock first and then a strip of the Ray of Sunshine 12 x 12 patterned paper.

I just love the wood veneer bits in this range!! So I added some of those across the layout including the 'sunshine' title. How cute are those leaves?!!
I cut the pineapple die cut from white cardstock using a Kaisercraft die and slipped that under the right hand side of the photo. I then added the cute cluster of embellishments.

I finished with a couple of page tabs from the collection. The page tabs have to be one of my very favourite Flutterby Designs elements.

Here's what I used:
- Green Limousine
- Orange Goldfish
- Sunshine Yellow

Have you had a chance to play with this collection yet? If so, we would love for you to share your projects in the Facebook Inspiration Group.

Thanks for stopping by the blog today.

Cheers
Belinda

I am a Queen, with Ros Madley

OMG, how freakin inspiring is the We Run the World collection!!

I can see that I will be using every tiny little leftover piece from this one.
There's so much to choose from, the quotes are amazing and the cards are gorgeous.

I was also pretty stoked to find some cards with flowers.  So something I wasn't expecting from this collection.  But then, I think celebrating being a woman is not just about strength and independence, it's also about freedom and being able to show a little girly girl when you want.

This background was done with some Grape Soda Flutter Colour Paint.  I've been in the process of moving house and packed up most of my supplies.  In hindsight, I perhaps should have left out some paint brushes.  Maybe then I wouldn't have had to slap some paint down with a piece of paper towel ♥
The awesome stencil, He Said She Said, has been used with a black texta also.  I chose just to use the female shape on this page.

The circle around my photo has been cut from an Everyday Etc Card (so have the flowers ♥) and the title.  These have all been outline with a black sharpie to help them stand out a little.
I have embellished this with a flair button and a little crown Die Cuts.

Finishing off I have a Page Tab, some Die Cuts, Sticky Quotes and some Enamel Dots.

Hope you've been inspired ♥

You are Loved | Krisy Podolak

Hi Flutterby Lovelies.

I have a layout to share with you today that I have had the photo printed for nearly a year and have only just worked out how to use it in a way that makes it the start of an awesome layout.
I used the Heart stencil and some impasto paste to create a back ground that I then used water colours matching the colours of the everyday etc cards that I used to matte my photo.  I cut up another to create part of my title and then added a banner flair button to finish it all off.

Here are a few close ups:

As you can see I used a number of patterned Everyday Etc cards to matte my photo but they all work together.  That the great thing about Flutterby Designs the colours work together even if they are from different collections.  Have a look through the shop and you will see how awesome the ranges are and how they work together.

Be BOLD | Krisy Podolak

Hi Flutterby Lovelies.
It's Krisy back again today to share another layout to inspire you.  This one is a bit special it has a Flutterby Designs Sample 12x12 piece of paper as the base.

This is really a mish mash of bits and bobs.  The craziness of the paper calls for a bit of mixed media and lots of things to look at.  So I teamed it up with some inks and stamping and then added a Flutterby Flair button, page tab and die cut word & hearts.  Oh and who can go past some sticky snippets?!

Here are a few close ups:

I hope that I have inspired you to get all your bits out and mix them up.  I know a few Scrappers that have a bit of OCD and like to keep collections together but seriously, nearly everything in the Flutterby store works together.  Neet has a pretty good eye when it comes to designing things.

I'll be back later in the month to share another mish mash layout.

Licks of Love, with Ros Madley

Hi.  I'm back.
I have another share featuring the super cute Fur-Ever Friends range.  We have 3 fur babies in our family, so I have plenty of photos that this range is perfect for.
I have gelli printed my background.  I used Arctic White Flutter Colour paint on my background.  The Hugs & Kisses stencil has been used with a very dry layer of Black Mayhem Flutter Colour.

This week my page is staring the gorgeous Miss Willow May.  I took these photos while I was getting ready for work one day.  She's sitting on my bed watching me with her tennis ball just looking at me with her big brown eyes, wanting me to play fetch.

The Eat Sleep Play photo tag is perfect for Miss Willow.  I'm pretty sure she's 2% play, 8% eat and 90% sleep.

This range has so many gorgeous quotes.  I could have filled the whole page with apt titles.

Hope you've been inspired ♥

My Crazy Tribe by Belinda Spencer

Hello Flutterby peeps!!

Belinda here today to share two layouts featuring some fabulous Flutterby Designs product.

Let's get started with a layout I created using the latest 'Mad About You' collection.

'Crazy Together' Layout

For this layout, I was totally inspired by one of Anita's filler cards which is the one directly under my photo. It is a book paper one with lovely big circles of bright pink, blue and green. This was my inspiration for my background.

I started by spritzing my background with water before spraying on Kaisermists in Pink, Lime Green and Aqua. I added more water to make lovely pools of colour on my layout. After drying with a heat gun, I then used Golden Light Molding Paste with the I {heart} you mini stencil to add another layer of interest to my background.

I love this photo of my hubby and kids being their crazy selves for the photo. I printed it off in black and white so that it wouldn't compete with my technicolour layout and so that it would stand out from it.

I have layered several filler cards from the Mad About You range underneath and added some crazy embroidery thread in matching colours too.  We are huge The Big Bang Theory fans so of course I had to use that fabulous flair button!

Here's what I used:

MAD ABOUT YOU:

Next up is a layout I created using the gorgeous 'Wild Bohemian' range.

'My Tribe' Layout

I have created another watercolour effect background using mists and water inspired by the colours in Anita's filler cards. This time I used the 'On The Plus Side' Stencil to add some yellow paint plus signs to my background.

Here's what I used:

WILD BOHEMIAN:

Thankyou so much for stopping by the blog and checking out my creations today. I do hope you feel inspired to grab your Flutterby stash and have a play too.

Cheers
Belinda

Mad About Flutterby by Belinda Spencer

Hello!!

Belinda here today and I am absolutely thrilled to be sharing my very first post as a brand new Flutterby Designs Design Team member.

First up I want to say a massive thank you to the uber talented Anita Rodway for having me on her awesome team. I just love your clever, arty designs so I am stoked to be able to create with them.

For my first project I have a layout to share featuring the Mad About You collection.

'P.S. I Love You' Layout

I love this photo of my hubby looking rather dashing, sporting some quirky Christmas photo booth props, that I took on Christmas Day 2015. Believe it or not, that is NOT his real moustache. LOL

I started with a heavy white cardstock base and added a Pink Kaisermist and water wash over it. Once dry I added some stencilling using the Hugs and Kisses Stencil and a custom made mix of Golden Light Molding Paste and Prima Charcoal Chalkboard paint. I used a palette knife to smudge some areas of the stencilling. This is a great way to hide any imperfections in your stencilling!!

The stencilling turned out a little darker than I had hoped so I spritzed over the top of everything with White Kaisermist to soften the colours.

I love to create lots of layers under my photo and the Everyday Etc Filler Cards are absolutely perfect for this technique. I chose a few different coordinating cards, chopped them to size and then shuffled them around under my photo until I was happy with the arrangement. I knew (from experience!) that if I pulled my layers apart to add tape to the back, that I would never EVER get them back in the same order. My solution is to have my handy Tiny Attacher nearby to quickly whack a couple of staples in to hold everything in place.

Once the layers were in place I literally threw some pink embroidery thread over the top and then secured in place with my photo as well as some strategically positioned embellishments and a few sneaky dots of Glossy Accents. I added a bit of stamping to my background at this point too using a cheeky stamp from Typo.

I layered some Page Tabs above my photo too. I HAD to use the 'Sheldon' one as we are huge fans of The Big Bang Theory and Sheldon is most definitely our favourite character. And as I just LOVE wood veneer, I have added some Die Cut Bits and Bobs too.

Well I hope you are feeling inspired after my very first share to get in your scrap room and have a play with your own Flutterby Designs stash. I will have lots more to share with you in a couple of weeks.

Don't forget there is only one more sleep until the Flutterby Designs shop is open again on Wednesday 11th January.

Thanks so much for stopping by the blog today!

Cheers
Belinda

"Awesome Everyday" by Sharmaine Kruijver

Hi FlutterHeads!
Have you been browsing the Flutterby Shop?
Checked out the new releases?
I could have devoured a whole packet of the new GORGEOUS die cuts.
But instead I was restrained and used just a few to create this page.

I also used a mini stencil to create my background.

Added a flair and some wood bits.

And (as always) some enamel dots.

Hope you all have a wonderful (and creative) weekend
