80s Party | Allara Bamforth

Merry Xmas Eve!!!

I hope you are all ready for the big man tomorrow and you enjoy your time with family and friends or what ever you choose to do over the holiday period. I have 9 days off work, so I am hoping to relax at least a little bit.

Once again the 80s are back and I have a fun 80s photo, this time with a cardboard cut out of the man himself at the 80s themed party on the cruise.

On my background from the 'Rad Retro' Collection I've used the Rad Retro Stencil with some clear gel medium. Once this is dry I've taken my distress oxide inks and water coloured over the top with a rainbow of colours.

From the Everyday Etc Filler Cards and the 12 x 12 paper 'Neon Lights' I've matted my photo with a half circular shape. From Everyday Etc Cards, I've added a few of the quotes and some Page tabs tucked in behind them. A Die Cut Bits and Bobs is also tucked into this stack and I've added a Flair Button to the corner of my matted photo. On the background I've let some black dylusion ink run over the a few areas and stamped the 'This Way' Art Foamies with some Oxide ink over the black inked areas.

And on top of this some of the photo tab quotes!

I'd like take this opportunity to wish you all a very Merry Xmas and Happy New Year. I'm excited to see what the new year brings.

Back To The 80s | Rachel Dutko

Hi everyone!

Today I have another layout to share using the 'Rad Retro' collection.

It was perfect timing that my son's end-of-year school concert
had an 80s theme this year.
I can still hear the music to "I'm Still Standing" in these photos!!

I used the 'Warm Hug' paper from the Parent Of The Year 12x12 paper pack as my base.
I then added some of the 'Expo 88' paper from the Rad Retro 12x12 paper pack.

I fussy cut the 'Back to the 80s' from an Everyday Etc card to use as my title.
I added a layer of cardboard to bring the words up out of the dotty layer.

I also fussy cut the 'Totally Awesome 80s' record
and again backed it with some cardboard to add some dimension.

I added a couple of flair buttons, some snippet strips, as well as some Die Cut Bits & Bobs.

Thanks for looking

and added it to my layers with some cardboard.

Love This | Allara Bamforth

Happy Wednesday!

I'm back on the blog today with a stash busting layout using some of my favourite Flutterby Designs bits and pieces with a bright and colourful layout.

The background was created with some of my favourite Flutter Colour Designs paint from the Brights set which I've used my brayer to paint across half of my background on the right and then just some of the excess on the left. Subtly I've stamped some of the Art Foamies Fill It In stamps and also some of the Edgies beside my photo. I've splattered some white paint over my background to match some of the design in the title.

I used Everyday Etc Cards to layer my photo and chose a matching title. I added a Page tab and some Die Cut Bits and Bobs to the top right and bottom right of the photo. To the bottom right I added a Flair Button and to the bottom left I used a wood veneer piece that I painted in matching colours.
To the top left and bottom right I added some Sticky Quotes and finished off using some heart stickers.

Although everything I used was from different collections, I was able to find so many mix and match pieces to create something colourful!!

Thanks for taking a peek!

Somedays | Allara Bamforth

Happy Monday!

I'm enjoying having a day off for the long weekend today, hope you are enjoying whatever you are up to today!

Today I'm back on the blog with another layout from the 'Parent of the Year' collection.  I've started with a black card background and dry brushed some Flutter Colour Paint in Grape Soda, Tropicana Teal and Green Limousine on the background.  Over the top of this with the Cobblestone stencil I've sponged through some Artic White.

I've then splattered some of the white and some Sunshine Yellow over the top. Once this is dry I've stamped some designs from the Foam Stamps 'Edgies' with Distress Oxide ink in coordinating colours.

My photo is then layered with the Everday Etc Filler cards from Parent of the Year. I found the perfect title for my photo in the Everday Etc cards and also added the Parenthood Acrylic title. I've used my white paint pen to highlight and randomly scribble around some of the stamps and titles to add interest. To finish off I've added a heart from the Die Cuts Bits and Bobs. Another easy to put togther layout with fantastic products. As always I've linked everything back to the shop, so that you can look at the huge range on offer.

Hello, My Name is... ll Chrsiis Mannix

Hello Lovelies
Chrissi here today with a 12x12 layout using a few different Flutterby bits and pieces.
I started with some patterned paper from the Parent of the Year Collection. I used gesso to create a focal area for my photo.

I used some of my favourite Every Day Etc Cards to add layers to my photo. Then I used some old Photo Cut Outs to embellish my picture. i love the Hello my Name IS. It was perfect for my photo. I used some alphabet stamps to add my gorgeous Nephews name to the label.
I really wanted to add some of my Flutter Colour Paints to my background before I added my photo, but i had already packed them up at this stage- Im in the middle of moving house. In the end I found some paint that matched, and used a stencil from my stash, just to bring more interest into my background. I found all that white just a bit too plain.
Thanks for stopping by, Be back real soon

OMG! You Wouldn't Believe It | Allara Bamforth

Good Morning!

Happy Monday, I'm on the blog today with a layout featuring some of the Parent of the Year collection and a few matching bits and pieces.

Today I've featured a photo of my son, which feels like it was taken a lifetime ago from when we visited Dreamworld in QLD around 6 years ago. My base page is the 12 x 12 Parent of the Year collection 'Is is Bedtime Yet?, to which I 've added a square of 'Where's My List' from the same collection framed by a piece of orange cardstock. I based my colour scheme this time on the colours from the Everday Etc Filler Cards that I have stacked behind my photo with the diamond pattern. I love purple, orange and greens together!

Through the centre of the page, I've mixed some Gel Medium with Grape Soda from the Flutter Colour Small Set - Brights and used the 'Migraine Madness' stencil across the middle of the page. Using the Art Foamies 'This Way' Stamps, I've coated them in both Sunshine Yellow and a mix of Tropicana teal to stamp these over the middle and top right and bottom left corners. Once dry I've splattered some Artic White over the top.

The photo is backed with a mixture of Everyday Etc Filler cards mostly from the 'Parent of the Year Collection. I've add a Die Cut 'Bits and Bobs' for my titles 'OMG! You Wouldn't Believe It!!' and It's a Scary Hood (which I accidently dropped in my paint but decided it looked ok to add anyway!!!).  I also added some extra Sticky Quotes that I had in my stash.

Thanks for taking a peek again today, these colours and ideas would be fabulous to use for any upcoming Halloween Pics you might have, so I hope you give it a try.

Parenthood: The Scariest Hood | Rachel Dutko

Hi everyone!

Rachel back with you today, with another share
using the 'Parent of the Year' collection.

I really love the 12x12 papers in this collection,
and for this layout I decided to use 2 of the papers!

I ripped some strips of the 'Love You Long Time' paper
then adhered them to the 'Warm Hug' paper.

I added some stitching to the strips, and left on all the threads,
representing the crazy world of parenthood, am I right!?!?

I added some Everyday Etc filler cards under my photo.

I added some Colour Blast colour paste through a splatter stencil.

I cut out some words from an Everyday Etc card for my title.

I added a flair button, a page tab, a sticker and the 'parenthood' acrylic title.

I also added a star from Charm's Creations.

Together Love | Allara Bamforth

Good Morning!

Allara here on the blog today with a quick stash busting layout using some bits and bobs of my favourite Flutterby Collections with a photo of myself and my soon to be 18 year old daughter when she is just 5 months old.

To start this layout I have chosen some Distress Oxide Inks and painted them on in a watercolour fashion, so that they blend together. I swiped the ink on my background mat first then spritzed with water and placed dircctly onto my white cardstock. The oxide inks blend beautifully together and also remain quite vibrant. I heat set them and then flick some of the colours over the top as well.

Next I've used the Art Foamie Noughts and Crosses stamp and just very faintly used some of the distress oxide to stamp over this background, I didn't want anything to prominent. Using a white Paint Marker I'ved traced around a couple of the noughts and crosses so they stand out.

The basis of my design was built from the 'Love' Strip I cut from the 12 x 12 Forever and Ever paper from the Happily Ever After Collection.

From the 12 x 12 Cut out sheet from the We Are collection I've cut out the Heart card and then matted that with various Everyday Etc cards which colout co-ordinated with my design.

A few stickers from the 'Sticky Quick Quotes' from the We Are collection were also used as well as the title 'Together' and couple of hears stuck around the page.

Once again with Flutterby Designs products I was able to produce a lovely quick and impressive layout without spending hours trying to come up with an elaborate design. These pages just seem to come together so quickly as all the pieces from different collections just seems to blend together.

We're All Mad Here | Allara Bamforth

TGIF!

I honestly feel like I'm on the Groundhog Day Rollercoaster at the moment and wishing I could just hop off for a while, but least it's Friday :)

Today's layout comes from that place of crazy and really expresses my frustration with this but I also added an important reminder for myself 'Your only limit is You'.

On my black carboard background I've used my brayer to roll out some Flutter Colour Paint - Fire Engine Red, Orange Gold fish and Tangerine Orange. Using the  Confetti Cubes Stencil and some Artic White paint I've stencilled this over the paint left to right. With my paints I've used earlier I swirl some designs over the top. And also splatter these colours over the background with a paintbrush.

The photo is matted with a cut out frame from one of the 12 x 12 papers from the Magical AF collection. And the title and other cut out shapes are from the Everyday Etc Cards. A Page Tab has been added to the left of the photo, plus some sticky quotes. on the photo and to the bottom right.

To finish off I used up a couple of my Neon Dots and used my trusty paint pen to draw around some fo the detail.

Thanks for taking a peek into my hectic life.
