You Rock | Rachel Dutko

Hi everyone!

Rachel back with you, and I have a stash-busting layout to share with you today.

I have used bits and pieces from a few different collections, 

but the beauty of Anita's design style means all the collections work so well together.

To create my background I applied some Flutter Colour paint in 

Orange Goldfish onto white cardstock with a dry brush.

I then applied some Colour Blast Colour Paste through a Mmm Pie stencil.

I layered some Everyday Etc cards under my photos.

I have used cards from the 'Good Vibes Only', 

'We Are' and 'Magical AF' collections.

I have used the 'You Rock' pieces from the Magical AF Die Cut Bits & Bobs pack as my title.

I have added some page tabs, sticky snippets, a flair, enamel dots 

and some Die Cut Bits and Bobs to embellish my page.

I also added a heart from Charm's Creations.

I finished off my page with some black ink splatters.

Lessons from a Unicorn | Allara Bamforth

Happy Unicorn Day,

I'm up on the blog today with fabulous lessons from unicorn!

For my background today I've cut circles from 12 x 12 paper Precious Gems from Magical AF and Dream on Love from Happily Ever After. My other circles were painted with Flutter colour paint in Cotton Candy Pink and Raspberry Punch with a little Artic Snow blended in.

The photos are matted with various desings from the Everyday Etc Filler Cards from the Magical AF collection. From the Everyday Etc cards I have cut my title 'Lessons from a Unicorn' as well as the 'lessons and mounted them down the side of my photo.

To finish off I have cut a Page Tab from Magical AF for the top of the photos and down in the bottom left have added a flair button with some fluffy threads in co-ordainting colours. I've added a few Puffy Hearts and a unicorn from the Die Cut Bibs and Bobs.

Happy Monday!

I can't believe we are already in May. Time really goes quickly these days in our busy lives.

Today's layout features the Magical AF collection with a cute photo I captured of my niece whilst she was daydreaming on the couch. I thought the title from one of the Magical AF Everyday Etc Cards was perfect for the photo 'Little girls with Dreams become women with vision'.

For this layout, I actually did everything back to front. Normally I would put together my background using some mixed media etc and then build the photo layers from there. This time I layered my photo first and stuck that all together. My photo is layered in various designs from the Magical AF Everyday Etc Cards and to this I added my title, which happened to be the first thing I picked out to accompany my photo.

I've then cut half a piece of We are Family 12 x 12 paper 'I'll Keep You'. To this piece I used some feathered brushstrokes of Flutter Colour Paint in Artic White and also used the Migraine Madness stencil with the white paint. Next I've taken the Sugar Sprinkes stencil and dabbed the Tropicana Teal through on the 'I'll Keep You' paper tand then carried that over to my white background cardstock.

Once this had dried I stuck it all together. I felt I need some more pink to tie in the design, so I added some splatters of Raspberry Punch to the top and bottom of the page..

From the Sticky Quick Quotes I scattered acround some hearts and the rainbow and cloud. Because you can never have enough hearts I've also added a few Puffy Heart Stickers. The Magic title is one of the Die Cut Bibs and Bobs.

Dream Big, Be Magic | Tamara Buckler

Hey Hey FB babes,

I'm up today sharing another super fun layout featuring, you guessed it, the Magical AF collection.

The design for this page was inspired by a layout I spotted over on Instagram ages ago, and I love that it has allowed me to highlight so many of the awesome 12x12 papers.

I began this page by creating some texture on the background by running some texture paste through a couple of Flutterby Stencils. To create the scallops, I traced around a role of washi tape, and then cut them out by hand. I have used the Somewhere over the Rainbow, Secret Garden, Precious Gem, and Waves of Wonder papers to create the scallop banners. 

I added some messy stitching with my sewing machine to adhere the scallop banners to the page, and then added a messy border on each with my trusty sharpie fineliner. I randomly popped some of the circular edges up with foam tape for added dimension.

My photo is matted on a random assortment of Everyday Etc Cards and scraps from the 12x12 papers. I added in some Page Tabs to the left of my photo and tucked in a Die Cut frame under the stack. 

I used more Die Cuts to create my title, starting with the 'Dream Big' around my photo, and the 'Be Magic' to the bottom right. To balance this out, I added another cluster to the top right using more Die Cuts, and a Flair Button from this collection.

To finish off the page, I added some Die Cut hearts around the place, and splattered some black ink for contrast.

I love how this page turned out. Because this collection works so well together, what could have been a very busy and chaotic page, really works with lots of colour and texture.

One Cheeky Kid || Elisa Ablett

Hi everyone, 

Elisa here from the design team with my latest layout for Flutterby Designs.

LETS DIVE TO THE BOTTOM OF YOUR FLUTTERBY STASH!

I wanted to go with 'boy themed' mixed media layout using bits and pieces from the NEW Magical AF collection and adding them to Flutter Paint, Knucklehead Stencil and even some Xtreem Teen pieces I have left over.

Take your Magical AF paper and cut on a crazy angle, add a small amount of white paint or white gesso along the inner cut edge. Add small sprays of black and teal Dylusions Shimmer Spray and dry.

Smooth black ink through your stencil using a distress tool, keeping to the inner edges.

Layer Everyday Etc Filler Cards under your photo cluster and before gluing down your cluster, squeeze teal Flutter Paint in a squiggle along the inner edges.

 Don't forget to raid your stash to expand your new collection !

Good Morning Crafters,

I'm on the blog today with another layout using the 'Magical AF' collection and decided this week to try something monochrome.

On my background I've smudged over some Flutter Colour Paint in Aquamarine Dream. Over this I've used some oxide ink colours through the Halftone Stencil and another stencil I had with bigger circles. I've used some black aqua pastel to draw some free hand circles and used a touch of water to smudge this out.

I've them matted my photo in various shade of blue/aqua from the 'Magical AF' Everyday Etc Filler Cards. Next I've added a co-ordinted Page Tab from 'Magical AF' and some of the gorgeous Die Cuts Bits and Bobs for my title and some of the hearts. My feathers are a stamped image from my collection in the oxide ink I've used for the background.

To finish off I'ved added some stickers from the 'Magical AF' sticky quotes and a couple of Puffy Heart Stickers.

My Girl Stitches | Rachel Dutko

Hi everyone!

Rachel back with you today with another layout to share.

I created a mixed media background, 

firstly by swiping some 'Sunshine Yellow'  Flutter Colour Paint 

onto some black cardstock with an old gift card. 

Once that was dry I applied some Colour Blast Colour Paste 

though a Sugar Sprinkles stencil. I also added some paint splatters.

I layered some 'Magical AF' Everyday Etc filler cards under my photos.

I cut a phrase from a 'Magical AF' Everyday Etc card for my title, 

then added some journalling.

I added some page tabs, a flair button, a star die-cut, 

and a cluster of embellishments from 

Charm's Creations and D'Lish Scraps.

Magical | Bernii Miller

Bernii here with you today with a a layout share using the latest collection Magical AF.

I have already created a project life spread using this collection which you can see HERE. 

So let me show you what I have created!!

To start with I used the "Got Letters" stencils ( which is on clearance right now for a bargain) on the background using modelling paste . I used the neutral 12 x 12 page from the "Magical AF" paper collection which you can grab in the store HERE. 

I then used some of the Page Tabs and Die cut bits and bobs to help embellish the layout. 

Then to help finish it off I used the most amazing acrylic piece which I wish I had a thousand off. Magical which you can get in the store HERE.

Make Your Life Story Amazing Art Journal Page- Chrissi M

Hello Lovelies,

Chrissi here today with my first Art Journal page using the fabulous Magical AF Collection.

In case you can't tell, Art Journaling is my happy place. When I have paint on my hands, I'm a happy chappy. Hands make the best art tools. 

Using a mix of pink and blue paint- Bubblegum and Perriwinkle to be exact, I applied to my page to start my background. When I started applying paint to my page, I had actually planned on using the right hand side. But as I was cleaning off my hands, and using up extra paint on the left hand side, I decided I liked that background more lol. The joy of art journaling is I know i'll use the other side at some point-nothing wasted here. And yes, I used my hands to apply my paint lol.

Using some white Gesso, I applied it through an older Flutterby Stencil to add some texture and interest to my page.

I loved this quote from the Every Day Etc cards and knew it would be perfect for an art journal page. And then when I saw this fabulous unicorn on another card, I knew it would look great together lol. I fussy cut the unicorn, and cut out the quote. I wanted the word unicorn to stand out, so I decided to use the custom made  Magical AF Alphas to make it pop.

Good Morning!

What have you got planned for the weekend? I'm hoping to have some time to make some art and watch a movie! I can only dream - too much reality stuff to do in a two day weekend.

I'm back on the blog this morning with a mixture of collections. One thing I love about Flutterby Designs is how the collections mix and match. I will always find things to co-ordinate together, if i don't have something the current collection I need.

Today's back ground papers are from the 'Flawsome' collection, Be Kind and Rainbow Love. I've then been making my own backgrounds on some watercolour paper with my oxide inks. I find the oxide inks are so vibrant on watercolour paper and they blend really well. Over the top of the watercolour I've taken my Flutter colour paint and drizzled Artic White and Raspberry Punch over to match the design on the back ground page.

To the bottom of my photo mats I've added a piece of 12 x 12 Happlily Ever after paper. My photo mats and embellishments are all from the 'Magical AF' collection.

using the 'Magical AF' collection.

I created my background using some Colour Blast Colour Shimmer Dust and some flicks of 

watered-down gesso to emulate the galaxy  Everyday Etc filler cards.

I also added some hot pink splatters.

I added a cut file from Cut To You, layered over some Everyday Etc filler cards.

I have used the amazing 'magical' acrylic piece as my title.

I also cut the 'Our Life Story' and 'Beautiful' phrases from some Everyday Etc cards.

I added some glitter dots, puffy hearts, a sticker, a page tab, 

as well as a heart from Charm's Creations.
