Unicorn cards | Rachel Dutko

Hi everyone! Rachel back with you on the blog today.

Recently I needed to make a card for my niece's 4th birthday,
and I thought the "Magical AF" collection would be absolutely perfect.

I have made a set of 3 cards to share with you today, all featuring unicorns from the collection.

For my first card I have fussy cut a unicorn from an Everyday Etc card
and adhered with foam tape.
I have layered some Everyday Etc filler cards, and a frame.

I just love the cute unicorn on her own so I didn't embellish this card.
(And she suits my niece to an absolute T.)

For my second card I have lightly sponged all 3 colours from the

I have fussy cut the unicorn and the words from some Everyday Etc cards.
I have used the pink glitter Everyday Etc filler card,
and added a hand drawn border.

For my third card I once again fussy cut the unicorn from an Everyday Etc card.

I added some Orange Goldfish Flutter Colour Paint through a star stencil
I sponged on some pink Flutter Colour paint to add a halo around the unicorn shape.

I also added an 'Always Be Kind' quote from the Die Cut Bits & Bobs pack.

Be You | Rachel Dutko

Hi everyone!
Rachel back with you today with another layout
using the Magical AF collection.

My inspiration for this page was to use circles.
I created a mixed media background using Colour Blast Colour Spray
and some stamped stitched circles.
I then added some heavy body acrylic paint through a Halftone stencil
for some more grungy circles in the background.

To keep the circular theme going, I dusted off my Big Shot and some different circular metal dies,
and cut some Everyday Etc filler cards to use as layers.
I also scattered some small circular 'negative' pieces around my layout.

I used the 'Be You' card from the Everyday Etc cards for my title.
I then trimmed some quotes from another Everyday Etc card to place around my page.

Because the design using die-cut Everyday Etc filler cards was so busy
I haven't added too many embellishments. I added a flair and a sticker
as well as a couple of embellishments from Charm's Creations.

Lastly, I added a few enamel dots and black ink splatters.

Dream Big, Be Magic | Tamara Buckler

Hey Hey FB babes,

I'm up today sharing another super fun layout featuring, you guessed it, the Magical AF collection.

The design for this page was inspired by a layout I spotted over on Instagram ages ago, and I love that it has allowed me to highlight so many of the awesome 12x12 papers.

I began this page by creating some texture on the background by running some texture paste through a couple of Flutterby Stencils. To create the scallops, I traced around a role of washi tape, and then cut them out by hand. I have used the Somewhere over the Rainbow, Secret Garden, Precious Gem, and Waves of Wonder papers to create the scallop banners.

I added some messy stitching with my sewing machine to adhere the scallop banners to the page, and then added a messy border on each with my trusty sharpie fineliner. I randomly popped some of the circular edges up with foam tape for added dimension.

My photo is matted on a random assortment of Everyday Etc Cards and scraps from the 12x12 papers. I added in some Page Tabs to the left of my photo and tucked in a Die Cut frame under the stack.

I used more Die Cuts to create my title, starting with the 'Dream Big' around my photo, and the 'Be Magic' to the bottom right. To balance this out, I added another cluster to the top right using more Die Cuts, and a Flair Button from this collection.

To finish off the page, I added some Die Cut hearts around the place, and splattered some black ink for contrast.

I love how this page turned out. Because this collection works so well together, what could have been a very busy and chaotic page, really works with lots of colour and texture.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Big Loves

My Girl Stitches | Rachel Dutko

Hi everyone!

Rachel back with you today with another layout to share.

I created a mixed media background,
firstly by swiping some 'Sunshine Yellow'  Flutter Colour Paint
onto some black cardstock with an old gift card.
Once that was dry I applied some Colour Blast Colour Paste
though a Sugar Sprinkles stencil. I also added some paint splatters.

I layered some 'Magical AF' Everyday Etc filler cards under my photos.

I cut a phrase from a 'Magical AF' Everyday Etc card for my title,
then added some journalling.

I added some page tabs, a flair button, a star die-cut
and a cluster of embellishments from
Charm's Creations and D'Lish Scraps.

Sparkle & Shine & Always be kind | Tamara Buckler

Hello my wonderful scrappy friends,

I'm so excited to share my latest layout with you featuring the FABULOUS Magical AF collection! I think I've said it before, but I swear Anita created this layout just for me!

This week I've used the amazing 12x12 'Fabulous' paper from the Paper Pack. I trimmed about a centimetre from each side, and adhered it to a piece of white cardstock, adding some messy machine stitching around the edge, and ruffling up the paper.

I added some white gesso to the centre of my page to give a bit of separation for my photo and embellishments from the background. I also added some texture paste through a 'I Heart You' stencil. While this dried, I backed the body of the Unicorn Cut File included in the Kit with the 'Secret Garden' 12x12 paper and then backed the mane with a paper from the Everyday Etc Filler Cards

I matted my photo on some white cardstock, and then layered up some Everyday Etc Cards and foam tape behind this to matt the photo and add dimension. I used three elements from the Die Cuts pack to create my title, starting with 'sparkle' and 'shine' above my photo. Behind this I tucked a rainbow from the sticker sheets, as well as a gem and puffy glitter heart.

The Unicorn Cut File nestled perfectly around the bottom right corner of my photo cluster, and I was then able to tuck lots of extra bits around it. I completed my title by adding the 'Always be kind' Die Cut to the bottom left, and another puffy glitter heart.

I tucked another rainbow behind the unicorn, as well as little cloud from the sticker sheet. I also added a Flair Button, a gem and another puffy glitter heart.

To finish the page off I added some Gold Splatters across the page and over my photo.

Thanks for stopping by today and checking out my page. Make sure you jump over to the shop and pick up one of the Magical AF kits, I hear there are a few left, and they are such amazing value for money!!

Big Loves,
Tam xo

Hello Beautiful || by Elisa Ablett

Hi Flutterby Fans,

Elisa here again from the design team with my latest share featuring the new and AWESOME Magical AF Collection available in store.

I loved this gorgeous background paper that Anita created, its so colourful and quirky and I was dying to use it on my layout.

Here are some close ups !

To create a feature background, I die cut using the background paper with a gorgeous floral square.

I also layered underneath my photo with some magical-af-filler-cards-everyday-etc-cards and added some magical-af-sticky-quotes.

I also fussy cut out  frame-53-magical-af to create frames for my title and quote.

I made some background squares and Butterfly embellies to go with it, using Distress Oxide Inks and This is Me - Stencil and some stitching.

That's it from me today, I hope you have been inspired to crack open the new collection and get creating.

Hugs

Elisa

SHINE, Always be You | Allara Bamforth

Greetings!

I'm on the blog today with another layout featuring lots of goodies from the Magical AF collection.

Today I've used the 'Be a Pineapple' stencil with some Gel Medium. Once this was dry I've blended a selection of distress oxide inks over the top to create a lovely magical rainbow effect. Then I've taken the 'Halftone' stencil and blended some vintage photo oxide ink to create a border.

From the 12 x 12 Magical AF paperpack I've cut a selection of frames from the 'Ill Keep You' paper and matted these with various offcuts from the Everyday etc Filler Cards. To the first three frames I've added some paper dolls and then a picture of my eldest daughter when she was about 14 months old. She is now almost 20 but has always been full of beans and a character and half!!! Which is what I wanted to showcase in this layout.

To the last frame I've used the Unicorn from the Sticky Quick Quotes and one of the quotes from the same sheet across the bottom of all the frames.  From the Magical AF Die cuts bits and bobs I've added the Shine title and some hearts for embellishments. In my frames Ive added some watercolur from the oxide inks Ive blended across the bottom. The last bit of the title was cut from the Everyday Etc cards and to finish off I have added some Page tabs to two of the frames.

Thanks for checking out my post once again.

Till next time,

A little bit of Sparkle || By Elisa Ablett

Hi Flutterby Fans,

Elisa here from the design team with my latest layout featuring the new collection
from Flutterby  'Magical AF', if you haven't got your hands on this as yet, be quick!
I don't think it will last long.

To start my layout, I traced a series of circles onto my page and painted them with paints matching the elements in the collection. I added highlights in black and gold foil to add a little shadow and sparkle to my design.

Then cracking into my stash of older Flutterby Stencils, I used the star stencil and a distress tool with black ink to add star highlights across my page.

Let's take a closer look at the cool AF elements from the new collection!

Just look at that cute unicorn! I fussy cut him out from the Everyday Etc Cards from the kit and paired with a great Die Cut makes for a great title.

Balance the other side of your layout with your secondary title,
a cute little unicorn flair button and paperclip from the new kit. Make sure you add some cute little star stickers from the magical-af-sticky-quotes.

Lastly, add some colour and sparkle under your photos by using some of the gorgeous little backgrounds from the Filler Cards and perhaps a page tab or two.

That's it from me today, I hope you have been inspired to try the new collection and perhaps a bit of mixed media to match 😀😀😀😀💗

Hugs xx
