Good Vibes Only | Rachel Dutko

Hi everyone!
Rachel back with you today with another layout
using a mix of Flutterby collections.

I created my background using some Flutter Colour Paint in Orange Goldfish,
applied with a dry brush. I then added some coloured modelling paste
through a Mmm Pie stencil. In typical me fashion though,
I ended up covering up most of my background with all of the fab layers
under my photo ( you can just see a bit of the stencil
poking out of the bottom of the layers!)

I used various Everyday Etc filler cards under my photo from the
'Good Vibes Only' and 'We Are' collections.

For my title I used a sticker from the Good Vibes Only Sticky Quotes
matted with orange cardstock. I then added a layer of cardboard to bring it up off the page.

I also scattered some 'We Are' Sticky Quotes , some BRIGHT Snippet Strips
as well as some enamel dots around my page.

I added some Little Birdie flowers, a heart from Charm's Creations, a page tab, a ticket, flair button
and the cassette from the 'Good Vibes Only' Die Cut Bits and Bobs pack in my embellie clusters.

Keep your eyes peeled in a couple of days for
the release of the newest collection 'Magical AF'!

Thanks for looking

Family Fun | Rachel Dutko

Hi everyone

It's Rachel back with you today for another share of Flutterby goodness!

I created my background  using some Tropicana Teal Flutter Colour Paint
on my Gel Press plate.
I then used a Mmm Pie stencil and navy ink for some subtle detail in the background.

For my title I used the FAMILY from the Fair Dinkum Chrissy Die Cut Bits & Bobs pack
and the FUN from the Good Vibes Only Die Cut Bits & Bobs pack.

I added some page tabs, ticket, flair and sticky snippets
I also added some Charm's Creations stars.

I layered some Everyday Etc filler cards from the 'Happily Ever After'
collection under my photo.

I finished off my page with some wood veneer stars, enamel dots
and of course some black ink splatters!

Vibes | Belinda Spencer

Hello Flutterby peeps!

Belinda here today to share a layout featuring the Good Vibes Only collection.

'Vibes'

I have used one of the fabulous 12 x 12 papers in this collection for the base of this layout. I am just loving that gorgeous pink! The good news is these papers are still available in the shop HERE. Be quick and grab them while they last!!

I swiped a little gesso over the background with a palette knife to form the central area where my photo and all of the bits and pieces would sit.

I chopped up some of the Everyday Etc Filler Cards in the range and added those before adding my photo with a little 3D foam. Keeping the foam just in the middle of the photo back allows me to then slip lots of cute die-cuts, page tabs and other elements around the sides.

I love the die-cut leaves and flamingo in this range as well as the cute stickers. I like to add the stickers to white cardstock first to strengthen them so that I can use them as embellishments.

I finished with some Tickets, fussy cut arrows from a filler card, an 'awesome' flair button and a fabulous acrylic word.

Here's what I used:

"You Rock" by Rachel Dutko

Hi everyone!

Today I have a bright and fun 12x12 layout of my boys to share-
"You Rock"

I created my background by adding some paint, then randomly added some lighter blue paint through a Halftone stencil
Once the paint was dry I then traced through the stencil with a fine Sharpie pen in random areas to highlight the dots.

I fussy cut my 'You Rock' title, as well as a star from some "Super Cool' Everyday Etc cards.
I also used some 'Super Cool' Everyday Etc cards under my photo.
I used a 'Fair Dinkum Chrissy" Everyday Etc filler card under my title.

I then added some Snippet Strips (from the Monochrome , Warm, and Cool sets) around the page,
as well as some enamel dots and
some wood veneer stars that I coloured with acrylic paint.

The aviator sunnies from the 'Good Vibes Only' Die Cut Bits and Bobs pack
worked perfectly on this page.

I also added a flair, a Kraft tab photo cut out, a ticket, and a page tab
from the  Kraft Notes 5, Baby Boy and Blackboard Notes 1 sets.

Love, Its The Little Things, by Rachel Dutko

Hello everyone!

I am so excited to bring you my first post for Flutterby Designs!

I created the background by cutting some strips from some
'Super Cool' Everyday Etc Cards and inking the edges.
I also matted my photo with some more cards from this set.

I have added a 'you're awesome' page tab (from Bright Notes 1
and a 'love our life' Kraft tab.

I fussy cut the word 'LOVE' and the sneaker from more 'Super Cool' Everyday Etc Cards.
Also in this cluster is a 'That's My Boy' Flair Button (from Set 149),
an 'everyday captured' ticket (from the 'Bright' set), and a sticky snippet sticker.

I also added some hot pink embellishments and muslin for some contrast.
Who says who can't add hot pink to a boy's layout??!!)

I finished off my page with some ink splatters and some Enamel Dots - Bold.

Thanks for looking

The awkward moment when | Tamara Buckler

Hey Hey Flutterby Peeps,

I'm back again today to share another layout using the always fun 'Xtreme Teen' collection. I love this collection, and even though I don't have teens (yet!), and I only have girls, I find a lot of material in this collection that works with their crazy attitudes and personalities.

I started with black card stock for this one, and smeared the background with some white Gesso. I then passed some texture paste through the 'Words of Wisdom' Stencil and let it dry. I then added some very watered down 'Grape Soda' Flutter Colour Paint with the packaging technique to put a light purple wash over the page.

I matted the photo with some Xtreme Teen Filler cards, and made this cluster using some of the die cuts from the range, as well as a flair button. You can also see here that I have added some wood veneer confetti circles that I have painted purple, these are repeated in several places on the page to add extra dimension, but as they are colour on colour, they don't make the page more busy.

I then created my title by cutting up one of the 'Xtreme Teen' Everyday Etc Photo Cards, as well as a ticket from the range. I also used some of the Purple Sticky alphas, as I wanted my title to say 'children'  instead of 'child', as mine are both pretty special :)

I added an extra cluster to the bottom right of the page, using again some of the die cuts and a flair badge, as well as a black snippet strip. To finish off the page I went a bit nuts and splattered all over the page some watered down Flutter Colour Paint in Bahama Blue, this went all over the page, including my photo, but I figure it just adds to the crazy, and the pops of blue really helps to tie in all the embellishments.

Hope you've enjoyed checking out my page, and make sure you keep an eye on the blog as there will some creations starting to pop up with the new Flutterby ranges that are being released soon! Sneak peak available here and here.

Have a fab week!
Big Loves,
Tam x

Friends Are the Family We Choose | Sue Plumb

Hi Flutterby peeps!
It's Sue Plumb here today to share my latest design team project with you. Today I have a 12x12" mixed media layout featuring a couple of photos of the boss lady (AKA Neet) and I that were taken at the 'Create by the Lake' retreat back in July. (These photos were taken late at night, when we were channeling our inner Freddie Mercury.) I don't really have to say anything else about the story behind these photos - I think the title says it all for me.

I started this page by brushing some black heavy gesso onto my white cardstock, then smeared some Colour Blast 'Envy' Colour Paste around randomly with a palette knife. Next, I used my Flutterby 'Stargazed' stencil to apply some texture paste; then topped it all off with a good drizzle of 'Green Limousine' Flutter Colour paint. I then set it aside to dry thoroughly.

The next step in my process was to create a mat for my photos, so I used an assortment of Everyday Etc filler cards, which I cut into pieces and layered together. I topped that with some frayed gauze and a page tab before mounting my photos on top.

I then started adding my embellishments to my layout. I used the friends are the family we choose wood veneer (unfortunately no longer available) for my title, which I painted with 'Tropicana Teal' Flutter Colour paint, before adding some white highlights with a paint pen. Above it, I added the let's flock together Black Tiny Sticky Quote.

Alongside my photos I added a small cluster that included the awesome ticket from the 'Xtreme Teen' ticket pack; the hashtag sticker from the 'Xtreme Teen' Sticky Quotes sheet; some messy cotton thread and a cute camera flair button.

Below my photo I added the parental advisory sticker (also from the 'Xtreme Teen Sticky Quotes); which I framed with a large wood veneer circle (coloured white with a paint pen). I also added a few other painted wood veneer circles to my page to help keep my design balanced.

The quote in the top right hand corner of my page was cut from one of the 'Partners in Crime' Everyday Etc cards (THE perfect set for funny photos with friends!) I then added a Charms Creations handmade star; a few star stickers from the 'Xtreme Teen' Sticky Quotes sheet; and some scattered enamel dots.
To finish off, I added a few stamped phrases, the date and a few splatters of mist.

Thanks for stopping by today so I could share this with you. If you think you might like to join in on the fun at the 2018 'Create by the Lake' retreat, registrations have already opened! Head over to the Flutterby Facebook page for more details.
Until next time, happy scrapping!

The Queen of all the Colours & ART not everyone will understand | Krisy Podolak

Hi Flutterby Lovelies,

Krisy back today, and I can tell you that right now I would be at "Create By the Lake" chilaxing and sucking in some creative juices from all the ladies around me.  This blog was written in advance but I know I will have some wicked layouts to share coming very soon to the blog.

Anyways, todays share is all about me.  I don't scrap about me very often as my own person, but I'm trying to include "Me" a bit more.

The Extreme Teen collection had a few cards that really described me.  Maybe I just am not ready to fully adult yet.  Actually, I know I don't want to be a full adult EVER.

I haven't really ever left my teenage goth phase behind, black is still my go to colour to wear.  So, the "Black is my Happy Colour" card from the Everyday Etc Card pack was perfect for me.  I also have the mouth of a well educated sailor so a little bit of censorship and Parental Advice is required for some people that meet me in real life.  I have always been that way.

My Knucklehead stencil is my very favourite ever.  I love Skulls and bones.

Here is another layout about me and my latest addition to my body art.  I used the Fragmented Stencil to add some details to my background and then I used an Everyday Etc Card from the Creative Chaos Collection.  I also inked a bit of wood veneer with Stayzon to add #this is awesome to the bottom right hand corner of the page.

That's it from me today.

.....ucking Lucky Kids & Threenager | Krisy Podolak

Hi Flutterby Lovelies,

Krisy here today sharing some pages I have recently created using the New "Extreme Teen" collection.  I don't have any teenagers but I have a few "Threenagers"  which I hope are the worst of the two "Nagers" you can get. I mixed in a bit of anything that worked with my page.  I very rarely create with just one collection and of course, there is some mixed media in there too.

I will mention that no one was harmed or made deceased in the lead up to these pages however, they came very fucking close.  Oh, and there are a few "sentence enhancers" used.  Be warned.

This is my first layout.  Show casing how my two youngest cherubs abolished my veggie garden in 20 minutes.  The plants were both established and seedlings.

I used a few different cards from the Everyday Etc Card packs and cut them up to suit my layout.  I then used some word Snippets and page tabs to add details around the page.

The background has inks as well as the New "Knuckle Head" stencil and stamping.

Then just as an added BONUS...Here is another layout.  The paper I picked up a while ago on a Garage sale site. As soon as I saw it I had to have it then this collection just worked with it.  I used Flutter Colour Paint on my background and the "Got Letters" Stencil.

I'll be back in a few weeks to share more layouts I have been working on.

K xx
