This Is Us | Rachel Dutko

Hi Flutterby fans!
Rachel back with you today with another layout to share.

I scraped some Flutter Colour Paint in Tropicana Teal onto a sheet of music note
Kraft paper for my first background layer.

I then added a gel print I had created using the Round Random Art Foamie stamps.

I layered some Everyday Etc filler cards from the We Are and
Magical AF collections under my photo.

I also added a page tab and fussy cut the 'this is us' frame and
the 'home is where you are' from the Frame 52 We Are set.

I added a cluster of embellishments from Charm's Creations,
some thread and some flowers.

Thanks for looking

Nice Normal Family | Rachel Dutko

Hi everyone!
Rachel back with you today.

For my share today I have used a mash-up of different Flutterby collections,
but the beauty of Anita's style means that all the collections
can be used so well together.

I have fussy cut a quote from a 'We Are' Everyday Etc card for my title.

I have layered several Everyday Etc filler cards under my photo - I have used some
'Fair Dinkum Chrissy' Everyday Etc filler cards as it was a photo from Christmas day,
from the 'Good Vibes Only' collection to match my dress.

I fussy cut a 'this is us' frame and added a flair button and page tab.

I added some Die Cut Bits and Bobs from 'Fair Dinkum Chrissy' and 'We Are'.

I finished off the page with some ink splatters, doodling and some enamel dots.

Thanks for looking

Grateful For Your Love | Tamara Buckler

Hello Flutterby Friends,

I'm so happy to back here today for my first share of the New Year, and with a brand new DT to boot. Today I'm sharing a layout featuring the 'We Are' collection.

I layered up some strips from the 12x12 paper pack, which I tore to add lots of texture. I mixed the papers up here a little, mixing in the soft pastel pinks & apricot with the deeper, more structured woodgrain paper and the black and white graphic patterned paper.

I added some watered down Flutter Colour Paint to tie in the pinks and apricots to the top portion of the page. I used the Half Tone Stencil to add some texture paste, and then with some other stencils, I outlined some words and shapes. I then added in some stamping in black ink for extra interest.

I layered up the photos using some Everyday Etc Cards from the collection, and then added in some frames that I have fussy cut from some cards.

To create my title, I combined some die cuts and some sticky alphas. The Woodgrain 'Love' Die Cut Title  delivers so much impact, and I accentuated this by outlining each letter.

Thanks for stopping by and checking out my layout. I hope you all have an amazing year, and I'll be back soon to share some more of my creations with you.

Big Loves,
Tam xo

We Are Family | Tamara Buckler

Hello Flutterby Friends,

I'm back today with my last share for the year! But never fear, I'll be back in the New Year with some new team mates to play with!

Today I'm sharing a layout featuring the 'We Are' collection. I was lucky enough to get my hands on all the 12x12 papers and I have used the 'The Story of Us' for the background paper on this layout.

I wanted to create a central design for this layout. To begin I added some Lindy's Starburst Spray and Magicals to the centre of the background to match the beautiful soft blue in the 'We Are' collection. The Flutterby 12x12 paper is super thick and strong, so the wet media went on without any gesso and the paper is still in great shape!

I then began to layer up Everyday Etc Cards and Frames behind by photo, as well as cardboard, cardstock, tissue paper, and thread,  because I wanted a heap of dimension. I have even included a piece of a Fussy Cut Frame that I used in a previous layout.  I love how the timber look frame really pops of the blue background.

I added in a timber look flair button to draw out this frame, as well as some tiny kraft sticky quotes to accentuate this contrast.

I added some pops of black with the title, an XO Charms Creations and a XOXO page tab. I also added some black splatters.

I love how this page and how much dimension and impact it has. I'm sure I've said it before, but I am really enjoying the new colours in this range, so fresh and fun!

Thanks so much for stopping by today. I hope you are getting ready for a happy and relaxing Christmas and New Year break. I look forward to sharing with you again in 2019!

Big Loves,

Tam xo

This is Love | Tamara Buckler

Hey Hey Flutterby peeps,

I'm up today sharing with you my first layout using the new 'We are' collection. I just love love love this collection! The colours are so bright and bold, and the phrases and stickers are so applicable to family life.

I started this layout by selecting the 'Messy Memories' 12x12 Paper Pack, this purple just sang to me as I was working on some photos of my girls checking out the gorgeous Jacaranda trees in Grafton recently. I smeared some gesso in a cross shape to the left of the page, and then used the 'xo' stencil to draw on the background.

I layered up lots of the Everyday Etc Cards behind my photo pulling in lots of the bright colours from the collection. I tucked in one of the frames from the 'Frame 52' cut apart sheet, because this really worked in with the amazing title piece from the Die Cut Title set.

The Die Cut title set is new in this collection, and I love how versatile the set is - you can change in the background piece and the die cut piece to create multiple title combinations. It is so easy to fussy cut the background piece, but you can leave it and just add the die cut piece over the top.

I used lots of pieces from the Die Cut Bits & Bobs pack to embellish the page, and another piece from the 'Frame 52' cut apart sheet.

One of the great things about the Flutterby products is that the collections all work in together, the flair button I have added to the page is an older design from the '403' Flair Button set, and it works pefectly!

Thanks for stopping by today to check out my page, and make sure you jump over to the shop and grab what you want from this range, because it is selling out fast!

See you next time!

Big Loves,
Tam xo

White Christmas - Rachel Dutko

Hi Flutterby peeps!

Today I have a page celebrating a Christmas tradition
between my sister and I - our favourite summer wine
from right here in the Barossa Valley.

I started by flicking through the 'Fair Dinkum Chrissy' Everyday Etc filler cards pack
and pulling out all the pink, silver and aqua cards to build my layers.

I was inspired to build my layout around the quote from the cut apart
from 'Fair Dinkum Chrissy' Frame 49.

I added several quotes and shapes from the 'Fair Dinkum Chrissy' Wood Veneer Bits.
I kept them raw to match the wood grain of the 'Dear Santa please bring wine'
flair button (from 'Fair Dinkum Chrissy' Flair Buttons Set 2).

I added some silver stars from the 'Fair Dinkum Chrissy'
Die Cut Bits & Bobs pack.
I also added some 'ghost' stars by tracing through the
'Stargazed' stencil with a silver gel pen around the page.

I finished my page by adding some splatters in different shades of pink.

Thanks for looking

Get Your Halo Dirty | Sue Plumb

Happy new year Flutterby peeps!
I am so happy to be staying on the Flutterby team again this year (Anita might have to pry me out with a crowbar at this rate - but who else lets me say "fuck" on my pages as much as she does?) ;)
Today I am here to share my first project for 2018 - a page I created using the recently released 'We Run the World' collection. (As soon as I saw this SnapChat filter, I immediately thought of the get your halo dirty card from this collection!)

Let's talk about my background first.
That gorgeous paper (that I have been hoarding!) is called 'Beyonce' and is one of the ten 12x12" papers from the 'We Run the World' Paper Pack. (These were produced in a very limited run, so if you want to get your hands on some, grab them before they are gone!) I didn't want to mess up the awesome pattern too much, so I simply dry-brushed a small amount of white gesso over my focal area to help define it.

The next thing I did was fussy cut my photos and then matted them with some white cardstock to help them pop a bit more. I also mounted the main photo on some cardboard (I use my Flutterby order boxes for this); so that the front photo would sit out from the one behind. (I was going with a "devil on your shoulder" type design.)
As I already knew I wanted to use the halo quote; I cut it out from the 'We Run the World' Everyday Etc card and then used the excess pieces to tuck in underneath the bottom edges of my photos.

Behind my photos at the top, I tucked in an Everyday Etc filler card that featured a gorgeous round frame, as I thought it kind of resembled an orb of light (or something like that). I also added some messy cotton thread for texture before sticking my photos down.

I love a good mixed font sentence that doubles for a title; so along with the quote, I used some Flutterby Blackboard and Teal Sticky Alphas; Snippet StripsBlack Tiny Sticky Quotes and the bad ass tab from the 'We Run the World' frame. Alongside my title, I added one of the flair buttons from the 'We Run the World' set #1.

To finish my page, I added a few of the hexagons from the 'We Run the World' Wood Veneer Bits set. I simply popped them out of the sheet and then used a pink Posca pen to quickly add a bright splash of colour before sticking them on.

Thanks for stopping by today so I could share this with you. I am looking forward to sharing many more projects over the coming year. Until next time, happy scrapping!

Shine Brightly | Tamara Buckler

Hey Hey Flutterby Peeps,

I'm back to share my final layout for 2017 - hasn't this year just flown by?! We have had some massive accomplishments this year, including building and moving into our first home, and our eldest daughter finishing primary school! With all this going on, it's been important for us to remember to take some time out and spend it enjoying our kids. That's what this layout is about, and it's certainly easy to document these moments with the fabulous 'We Run The World' collection!!

I started this page with some very old (unbranded) paper I had in my stash that looked like an old wooden door, it was very grey so I spread a light layer of gesso across the page to brighten it up and give it a bit of a whitewashed effect. I then watered down some Dylusions paint in Rose Quartz and Cherry Pie (they are a great colour match for the pinks in the WRTW collection) and some Flutter Colour Paint in Grape Soda, and applied this using the package technique and lots of water.

I started my layers by tearing strips from the beautiful watercolour floral card that is included in both the Everyday Etc Filler and Photo Card packs, and laid them in a 'T' shape across the page. I matted the photo on some black paper from my stash, and another Everyday Etc Filler Photo Card. To create my title, I fussy cut "Shine Brightly" from an Everyday Etc Photo Card. I popped both the photo and the "Shine" up with some foam adhesive and glued "Brightly" down the left of the photo.

To create the cluster to the right of my photo I cut a tag shape from one of the Filler Cards, and then cut out two of the frames from the WRTW collection. I tucked some off cuts form the "Shine Brightly" card underneath to carry this across the page, and used some of the Die Cut Bits and Bobs as well as flair button to finish it off. I love the layers in this cluster!!

I finished off the page by tucking some black thread on either side of the photo (when will I learn to do this earlier in my process?!?) and splattered some black ink around the page.

Thanks for stopping by to check out my layout. I hope you have a happy, safe and fun festive season with your family and friends, and I look forward to seeing you in the new year!

Big Loves,
Tam x

Explore | Sue Plumb

Hi everyone!
Sue Plumb here today to share my latest design team project with you.
Today I have a 12x12" mixed media page I created using the 'Any Direction' collection. This range was released some time ago, and it's perfect for travel and adventure photos - just like these (insane) shots of my hubby mountain climbing recently.

You may remember my page with the watercolour background I shared in my last post? (You can find it here) I was still feeling the watercolour vibe, and the map card in this collection inspired me to create another. I started by adding some texture paste around my page using my 'Bubble O'Fun' stencil, then used Colour Blast Colour Shimmer Dusts to create the gorgeous mixed blues and greens background.

I used a combination of Everyday Etc cards from 'Any Direction', along with some assorted filler cards from other collections to create a layered photo mat. I also added the explore wood veneer for my title.

I also added a couple of tabs above my photos - holy shitballs from the recent Sentence Enhancers page tabs; and I do all my own stunts from the bright tabs #1. To help highlight my photos, I used a small green frame from the 'Mad About You' photo cut out, which I cut in half and tucked under either side. Alongside my photo I added a wood veneer geotag as well.

Beneath my photo, was the feature quote card replace fear of the unknown with curiosity. This couldn't have been a more perfect card for this page. Not only does it feature a picture of mountains; but my hubby was (until recently) afraid of heights! (And look at him now scaling the sides of mountains with no ropes!)

I highlighted the quote by adding a Charms Creations arrow, which I topped with the live your life flair button (from set #171). I also added some of my fave 'Confetti Circles' wood veneers.
To finish off, I stamped the word adventure around my page and splattered a bit of mist about.
If you have some travel photos to scrap that you haven't gotten around to yet, make sure you check out the 'Any Direction' collection

Thanks for stopping by today so I could share this with you. I'll be back again in a couple of weeks time with another project to share. Until then, happy scrapping!
