2019 Project Life- Chrissi M

Hello Lovelies,
I finally decided to start my 2019 Project Life. Yes, I know, we are in April lol, but its a start.

I have decided to use some of my Flutterby Designs Stash to do my project life. This spread was made using mostly bits and pieces from the Xtreme Teen Collection- One of my faves.

For my title card, I used the Xtreme Teen Filler Cards, and the Week Variety Wood Veneer Pack
This is my week 4, and there are alot of  photos that suited this theme. There was soccer clinic adventures, car break downs, lots of fun stuff that worked well with this collection.
Throughout the spread, I used alot of the Xtreme Teen Wood Veneer bits. They worked so well for the layout.
I also recently rediscovered my pouch full of  Fluterby Sticker Sheets. OMG how I love these. There are all different ones, I love the sticky Quotes, and the icons that come with each collection. I love the attitude of the Flutterby Designs Collections.
I have also got a process video up on youtube for this Project Life spread, if you wanted to see more of how I put this together, and learn more about the Flutterby Products I've used. Hope you stop by and check it out.

Be Epic Awesome Dude | Belinda Spencer

Hello!!

Belinda here today to share two boy layouts featuring the totally awesome Xtreme Teen collection. I have created one quite soft coloured layout with the purple and grey tones from the range . In contrast, the second layout is in your face bright yellow, white and black. Pretty cool that you can create two such extremes from the one collection.

'BE EPIC' Layout

I used a patterned paper with a soft crackle look for my background and added a lovely purple mist to co-ordinate with the photo cards I had chosen.

I layered some purple and grey filler photo cards together and added to the layout with my photo.

Some embellishments, stickers and die cut pieces completed the layout along with a cute coil of soft grey and white baker's twine.

Here's what I used:

XTREME TEEN:
'Small Stars' Wood Veneer

'AWESOME DUDE' Layout

I wanted to create a bold and 'in your face' layout this time to match the photo of my son with his fierce karate fighting face on. The yellow details in the range were perfect for this.

I began by grabbing the Orange Goldfish and Sunshine Yellow Flutter Colour Paints. I diluted them with water in a paint palette, spritzed some water onto my background cardstock and then added a wash of colour using a soft wet paintbrush. I moved the colour around a bit on my layout until I was happy with it and then allowed it to dry.

Then I layered on my filler photo cards, photo and embellishments.

I used a couple of Charm's Creations embellishments that I coloured with the same watered down paint to co-ordinate with my background.

I fussy cut some stars from a filler photo card to use as embellishments too.

Here's what I used:

XTREME TEEN:

- Orange Goldfish
- Sunshine Yellow

Thanks for stopping by the blog today!

Don't forget about the upcoming NEW RELEASE on Monday 3rd July!!

Cheers

Headphones In, Problems Out.... Skai Mitchell

Hey Flutterby Peeps,

Finally have my computer working so I can link up my layout I shared late last week.... I've been challenging myself to break away from my usual style of photo and embellishment clusters centrally located on the page, and this one was a fun one that almost looks like its sound exploding from the side of the page... Very happy with how this came together.... Ive absolutely LOVED creating with the Xtreme Teen range, and will be snapping up another kit before they all sell out...

How cool is that paint splatter on the page!

I splattered down some Flutter Colour Paint quite thickly, and being impatient I used a heat gun to get it to dry.... Subsequently it bubbled and burst creating this cool effect!

Stand Out + Cool Pre Teen | Belinda Spencer

Hello!!

Belinda here today to share two more layouts I have created using the completely awesome Xtreme Teen range.

For these layouts, I wanted to showcase the utterly brilliant Knucklehead Stencil. I LOVE skulls and anything spooky so I couldn't wait to play with this stencil.

'Stand Out'  Layout

I started this layout with a kraft cardsstock background. I placed the stencil on it and drew around the skulls using a waterproof fine black journalling pen. I diluted some black gesso with water to get a runny, watercolour consistency. I spritzed the background with water and then painted around the skulls with the black gesso using a soft, wet paintbrush.

Once all of the black gesso background was dry, I watered down the Arctic White Flutter Colour paint and painted the skulls.

I was inspired by the cool Converse images in the collection so decided to scrap a photo of my daughter's new Converse. AND I have had a Converse die in my stash for absolutely ages waiting for the right project. FINALLY I got to use it and the fabulous fabric look grey photo filler card was the perfect piece to use for the die cut.

I layered on some photo filler cards, my photo and a whole heap of awesome bits and bobs, wood veneer page tabs and flair button.

Here's what I used:

'# Cool Pre Teen' Layout

So there is that cool stencil again! I told you I LOVE it! This time I have swiped some Golden Light Molding Paste over the stencil to create a more dimensional effect. I have added just two rows of Knuckleheads across the bottom of my layout by masking off areas of the stencil using scrap paper held in place with a little washi tape.

This time I spritzed the background with water and then doused it in Charcoal Kaisermist. So that it wasn't quite so dark, I blotted the excess colour away with scrunched up paper towel and flicked a bit more water at it for a waterstained effect..

I have mixed and matched the Xtreme Teen range with the Colour Me Krafty collection which worked perfectly with my kraft cardstock background. I have kept to a simple neutral colour scheme of black, white and kraft to make my photo really stand out.

Here's what I used:

Well that is all from me today. Don't forget to share your own awesome creations in our Flutterby Designs Inspiration HQ Facebook Group. I would so love to see what you have made.

Thanks for stopping by.

Rock Star by Tamara Buckler

Hey, Hey, Flutterby peeps!

Back again to share another layout with the awesome new 'Xtreem Teen' range. There are so many great bits of inspiration in this range, and I started this layout with the title in mind - which I fussy cut from one of the Everyday Etc cards.

I started this layout with a generous slather of gesso, and then spread some ColourBlast texture paste through the super cool MacQueen Stencil, and then some watered down Flutter Paint to colour the background.

I then layered up some cards from the Xtreem Teen filler cards behind the cheeky photo of my girls, and mirrored this layout with the fussy cut title.

With all that going on in the background, I only used a few embellishments. I love how the wood veneer pops of the page, and how the ticket and flair button really tie in with the theme of the page. A little phrase from the 'Mad About you' Bits and Bobs, and some enamel dots was all I needed to finish it all off.

Thanks for stopping by again today to check out my layout. Make sure you are sharing your layouts with us over at Flutterby Inspiration HQ.

Big Loves,
Tam x

Zero F%*KS Given - Skai Mitchell

Hey Flutterby Fans...

I'm an honest scrapper, and it no secret that I've been struggling the last few months personally... A marriage falling apart, a major change in jobs that has affected my children immensely, whacking on 10kgs...zero time to create... and just generally being a shitty person to everyone around me...

My biggest downfall is the negative self talk... so I'm actively changing the chatter and dragging myself up and out of this rut..

The new range Xtreme Teen just screamed me, and while I have few layouts up my sleeve featuring my kiddos, this one is all me...

Danger: Pre-Teen Brain | Tamara Buckler

Hi everyone!

I am so super stoked to be here today to share my first layout for the Flutterby Design Team! I was so lucky to come on board just before the release of the new 'Xtreem Teen' range because this stuff is the goods!

I was inspired to use the Matrix stencil with this extreme close up of my nearly 12 year old! I swear the code for her brain is somewhere in the Matrix!!

The stencil fit almost perfectly across my 8.5 x 11.5 page. Silly me has run out of texture paste (sob!), so rather than colouring on top of the texture paste like I normally would, I added my colour first. I used some Bahama Blue and Green Limousine FlutterColour Paint, as well as some Dylusions paint in Purple. I used a lot of water here to get a watercolour effect. Once this was dry I sprayed over the Matrix stencil with Black Dylusions ink, and added lots of black splatters. I love the washed out effect this adds to the page.

I then layered up Everyday Filler Cards behind my photo, which I adhered to the very right hand side of the page. To this I added some Page Tabs from the Xtreem Teen range, the sentiments are perfect. I seriously love these tabs, I think I nearly use them on every page I make!

I then fussy cut my title from the Xtreem Teen Everyday Etc. Cards, and added some purple Sticky Alphas and glitter Thickers. To finish off the page I added a Flair Button and some Enamel Dots.

One of the best things about the Flutterby ranges are that they allow me to express my sense of humour! I mean, who isn't scared of a pre-teen brain?!? 😀😀😀

Thanks for stopping by to check out my first layout with the Flutterby Design Team. Make sure you check out all the inspo over at Flutterby Inspiration HQ. Can't wait to share with you again next time!

Big Loves, Tam x
