Sweet Little Moment - Skai Mitchell

Hey Flutterby peeps,

Summer is on its way and it without a doubt our favourite season in our family. The days are longer, and we try to get to the beach as much as possible.

I found this picture of me at Redhead beach in Newcastle.
I was about 2 years old, and every spare moment was spent with my Mum and Dad here after work and on the weekends.  I was your typical 80's baby, all over tan and bleach blonde hair. Photos back them were expensive to have developed, and for my work class parents, they only took really special pictures. I'm so pleased they chose to 'capture the beautiful and sweet little moments' of my childhood.

For this layout I've begun with a basic mixed media background, using a mixture of the Tim Holtz Distress Oxides and Dylusion Colour sprays, with some Whipped Spackle through the 'Bubble O'Fun' Stencil 150 x 200mm

Next, I've grabbed out some cards in my chosen colour pallet. I've used pieces from the MIXED MEDIA' Everyday Etc Cards and 'EVERYDAY' Everyday Etc Cards and messy stitched around them with my sewing machine.

For my title I've used the 'Beautiful' from the FLAWSOME' Die Cut Bits & Bobs, and finished it off with some Dymo labelling and hand journaling.

I hope you have enjoyed my share this week. Don't forget to head over to the Flutterby Inspiration HQ page for loads of inspiration from the DT.

My photo stack has been done using all the little left over strips in this collection.  The shaped elements on this layout have been cut from the Everyday Etc Cards.

All finished off with some Tiny Sticky Quotes and my usual, Enamel Dots.

Today | Belinda Spencer

Hello Flutterby Designs peeps!!

Belinda here today to share a boy layout using a mix of different collections.

'Today' Layout

I am really loving creating in this A4 format now. My layouts just seem to come together quicker and easier. That could also be because of the awesome product from Flutterby of course!! So easy to play with.

Just for something different, I decided to use three tiny photos on my layout instead of the usual one only. I love these photos so much I couldn't just choose one! Anyway, the series of photos shows exactly what it is like trying to get a decent photo from this child of mine. LOL To be honest though these are the type of photos I love the most.

I have added a sweet scattering of enamel dots and wood veneer stars across my layout.

I fussy cut the title and this quote from the Everyday Etc 'Blank Palette' Photo Card Set. I layered some Filler Photo Cards from the 'Super Cool' Set under my photos.

I began my layout in my usual way. First I added texture using the Dangerously Dapper Stencil and Texture Paste. Once dry, I spritzed on quite a bit of water before squirting some of the Tropicana Teal Flutter Colour Paint. I spritzed a litle more water over the top of the paint and then used my fingertip to spread the paint and mix it with the water a bit more. I used a scrunched up paper towel to dab away the excess paint and liquid on the layout before leaving to dry.

I used a Charm's Creations Emoji Embellishment too. I jazzed it up a little using a die cut to add the hat, moustache and glasses. Too cute!

Well I hope you have been inspired by my layout today to create your own boy layout using fabulous Flutterby Designs products.

Make sure you pop back soon for more amazing inspiration from the Flutterby Design Team.

Cheers
Belinda

Hey Babe | Tamara Buckler

Hey, Hey Scrappy friends,

It feels like a long time between posts, my life has been super busy lately as we have been moving house.  I've had no internet and no scrappy space for weeks, it's been torture! But I'm back into it and today I have my latest layout to share with you.

I mixed some of the our gorgeous Flutter Colour Paints in Raspberry Punch and Tropicana Teal and applied it kind of randomly through the gorgeous 'Flawsome' stencil. I love how this give a beautiful soft ombre/sorbet sort of feel to the background.

I matted the photo with some of the 'Mad About You' Filler Cards and popped the whole lot up with some fun foam, just to separate it a little from the background.

I then fussy cut this title from a 'Mad About You' everyday Etc Card and popped the word 'babe' up on some foam tape to lift it up of the background. I love using the Everyday Etc Cards like this, so many ready made titles in a pack!

I didn't need to do too much else to make this page beautiful, and that's why there is only a small cluster of embellishments to the right of the pic featuring of course a Flutterby flair badge and a page tab from the 'Mad About You' range. I then added some black ink splatters to lift up the photo and tie in the title, and that was it!!

Super happy with this one, and super dooper happy to be back in the scrappy saddle!

Have a fab day!

Big Loves,
Tam x

You are Loved | Krisy Podolak

Hi Flutterby Lovelies.

I have a layout to share with you today that I have had the photo printed for nearly a year and have only just worked out how to use it in a way that makes it the start of an awesome layout.
I used the Heart stencil and some impasto paste to create a back ground that I then used water colours matching the colours of the everyday etc cards that I used to matte my photo.  I cut up another to create part of my title and then added a banner flair button to finish it all off.

Here are a few close ups:

As you can see I used a number of patterned Everyday Etc cards to matte my photo but they all work together.  That the great thing about Flutterby Designs the colours work together even if they are from different collections.  Have a look through the shop and you will see how awesome the ranges are and how they work together.

Explore | Sue Plumb

Hi everyone!
Sue Plumb here today to share my latest design team project with you.
Today I have a 12x12" mixed media page I created using the 'Any Direction' collection. This range was released some time ago, and it's perfect for travel and adventure photos - just like these (insane) shots of my hubby mountain climbing recently.

You may remember my page with the watercolour background I shared in my last post? (You can find it here) I was still feeling the watercolour vibe, and the map card in this collection inspired me to create another. I started by adding some texture paste around my page using my 'Bubble O'Fun' stencil, then used Colour Blast Colour Shimmer Dusts to create the gorgeous mixed blues and greens background.

I used a combination of Everyday Etc cards from 'Any Direction', along with some assorted filler cards from other collections to create a layered photo mat. I also added the explore wood veneer for my title.

I also added a couple of tabs above my photos - holy shitballs from the recent Sentence Enhancers page tabs; and I do all my own stunts from the bright tabs #1. To help highlight my photos, I used a small green frame from the 'Mad About You' photo cut out, which I cut in half and tucked under either side. Alongside my photo I added a wood veneer geotag as well.

Beneath my photo, was the feature quote card replace fear of the unknown with curiosity. This couldn't have been a more perfect card for this page. Not only does it feature a picture of mountains; but my hubby was (until recently) afraid of heights! (And look at him now scaling the sides of mountains with no ropes!)

I highlighted the quote by adding a Charms Creations arrow, which I topped with the live your life flair button (from set #171). I also added some of my fave 'Confetti Circles' wood veneers.
To finish off, I stamped the word adventure around my page and splattered a bit of mist about.
If you have some travel photos to scrap that you haven't gotten around to yet, make sure you check out the 'Any Direction' collection

Thanks for stopping by today so I could share this with you. I'll be back again in a couple of weeks time with another project to share. Until then, happy scrapping!

Spoil Yourself - Skai Mitchell

Hey Flutterby Peeps...

Spring is here and I'm loving watching the tree's grown new leaves, longer days with daylight savings and spending more time with the family outdoors.

One thing I love is fresh flowers for the house, it brings the freshness of spring indoors and I often spoil myself with a bunch of flowers from my local markets. Roses are one of my favourites, and its the featured flower in all my tattoos.

I've created a bit of a 'kill a kit' layout here, using up pieces from several kits.

Ive used the 'Yourself' die cut title from  'FLAWSOME' Die Cut Bits & Bobs
A page tab from the 'MAD ABOUT YOU' - Page Tabs,
and some die cut heart from 'Mad About You' Die Cut Bits & Bobs

Hope you have enjoyed my share this week, and have inspired you to get arty in your creative space. Dont forget to share your works on the Flutterby Inspiration HQ Facebook page.

Be Bold, by Ros Madley

Hi everyone :)  Am definitely noticing a change in the weather down this end of the country.  So nice to be seeing a bit of sunshine.

My layout this time is all in black and white.
I have been busting to use the Blank Palette Everyday Etc cards and this background I found in my stash went perfectly with those cards.

My background is actually a leftover page I did in a Louise Nelson class.  I'd been a bit heavy handed on the white paint and sat this one aside knowing it be perfect for a layout one day.

The title, Be Bold has been cut from the Everyday Etc cards.  The camera, cheverons and 'favourite memories' were also cut from these.

My photo stack is a mixture of the cards.  I decided to print my photo in colour to help it stand out from all the black and white.

The 'Just be Cool' flair button goes with this page perfectly.  Of course there's few enamel dots on my page too.

This layout has been finished off using some Tiny Sticky Quotes.

Hope you've been inspired ♥

Create Art | Belinda Spencer

Hey Flutterby peeps!!

Belinda here today to share a big, bold and bright layout featuring the totally awesome Flawsome range.

'Create Art'

I began my layout by adding some Flutter Colour paint directly to my background kraft cardstock and swiping it with a folded over bit of cardstock. Once dry I added some patterned detail using the 'Bubble O' Fun' and 'On the Plus Side' Stencil. I stencilled on some words too using the 'Words of Wisdom' Stencil and a black journalling pen.

I added lots of layers under my photo using some Everyday Etc Filler Photo Cards, Page Tabs, embroidery thread and some chipboard from my own stash.

I painted my chipboard pieces using the gorgeous Grape Soda paint. Love that colour! Plus it is such a luscious paint that it covers the chipboard really well.

I added some sticky quotes and enamel dots too for extra interest.

FLAWSOME Collection:
STENCILS:
- Grape Soda
- Sunshine Yellow
- Tropicana Teal
Flair Button

Thanks for stopping by and checking out my layout today.

Cheers

MISFIT. REBEL. TROUBLE.MAKER. | Krisy Podolak

Hi Flutterby Lovelies.

Today I am sharing a layout that I created using the X-treme teen collection.  I am not a teen, far from it actually but the range just matched my 80's look.

Of course I used a lot of layers and mixed media to create this page.  On the background I used the star stencil with some paint and there is a splash of Flutterby Fire Engine Colour Paint in there too.

I used a number of the Everyday Etc cards to matte my photo.  For more embellishment I added some die cut circles, a cassette tape die cut and then I added a flair button as a finishing touch.

For my titles I used some more Everyday Etc cards and trimmed them into strips.  This is a great way to add some easy titles to your layouts.

Here are a few close ups:

I'd like to give you a heads up as to what I am going to share at the end of the month but I haven't planned that yet so you will just have to wait and see.
