Love | Belinda Spencer

Hello Flutterby peeps!!

Belinda here with you today to share a layout featuring the brand new soon to be released 'This is Our Happily Ever After.

I was so excited to receive my DT pack that I couldn't help but play with it straight away!

'Love'

I was immediately drawn to all of the black and white elements in the range. So i grabbed some black cardstock and placed the fabulous new 'All You Need Is Love' Stencil on it before swiping over some texture paste. Once dry, I coloured over the top of the stencilled words with a white Posca Pen to make them a more vibrant white.

How cute is that tomato image?!! I really needed that super gorgeous splash of red on my layout because red, black and white look so good together. I actually customised my tomato by changing the green leaves on top. I didn't want to add another colour to my layout so I simply cut another leafy top from one of the black and white filler cards and stuck it on top of my tomato.

I have created some layers using filler cards and photo cards as well as a square of patterned paper cut from the 12 x 12 'Blanket Thief' patterned paper. To finish, I added my photo as well as that amazing acrylic 'love' word, washi tape, a flair button and heart sticker.

I hope you like my little preview of the new coming soon collection. I can't wait to have another play now.

Oh and did you know you can pre-order the full collection kit right now on the website? The full collection kit contains one of absolutely everything in the range. Check out all of the details HERE on the website. ***PLEASE NOTE THESE ARE PRE-ORDER*** These will be shipped from 8/5/18!!!

Beautiful Girl | Sue Plumb

Hi Flutterby peeps!
Sue Plumb here to share my latest design team project with you. Today I have a mixed media scrapbook layout to share that was created using a combination of the recently released 'Good Vibes Only' collection, along with the 'We Run the World' collection.
(Who would have thought that those two collections would play so nicely together?)

To create this layout I started with some white cardstock and used my favourite 'Bubble O'Fun' stencil to add some texture paste to a few areas around my page. I then took some 'Aquamarine Dream' Flutter Colour paint and watered it down before applying it over the top of the texture paste; as well as adding a few small splatters to my background. Once dry, I went back and repeated the process using 'Cotton Candy Pink' Flutter Colour paint. I also added a few splatters of Colour Blast 'Marine' Colour Artist Ink for some darker contrast.

Whilst the background was drying, I gathered together some Everyday Etc filler cards from both the 'Good Vibes Only' and 'We Run the World' collections that I thought would coordinate well together; then began cutting and layering them to form a mat for my photo. Once I had the layers in place I also added some frayed gauze before adding my photo on top.
At this point I decided that my background needed a little extra colour, so I added some highlights using a Colour Blast 'Lovely Lilac' Colour Shimmer Cube.

Once I had my photo in place it was time to start adding some embellishments. I cut the the world is yours piece from one of the 'We Run the World' Everyday Etc cards and I layered it on top of a flower that was fussy cut from one of my last remaining scraps of the gorgeous 'Frida' 12x12" patterned paper. (The 'We Run the World' paper packs are currently on sale in the store HERE)

For my title, the beautiful word came from the 'We Run the World' Die Cut Bits & Bobs pack and the girl was from the coordinating Wood Veneer Bits set. To colour it, I added coat of gesso, then used Colour Blast Colour Shimmer Cube watercolours applied with a small brush.

Around my page I used a few other pieces from the 'We Run the World' Die Cut Bits & Bobs pack - extra flowers, and the make your dreams happen piece that I placed below my photo and popped it up on some foam tape.
To the right of my photo I added the cute little flamingo sticker from the 'Good Vibes Only' Sticky Quotes sheet, and I also stuck a flower from the same sheet directly onto my daughter's hair in the photo.

I used some of the negative space on my photo to add some tiny sticky quotes as well as the become a mermaid quote pieces from the 'Good Vibes Only' Die Cut Bits & Bobs pack.
To finish off my page I added a few pink enamel dots and a few hearts from the rainbow heart stickers pack.

Thanks for stopping by so I could share this with you.
Don't forget the brand new 'Happily Ever After' collection is being released 8pm Monday 7th May. (Trust me when I say you are going to love this one - so make sure you don't miss out!)

Until next time, happy scrapping!

"Beach Selfie" with Adele

Hello scrappy peeps!!

Today I tackle a multiple photo 9x12" layout using the bright and bubbly Good Vibes Only collection. I started my page with a simple ombre type paint blob of pink and white.

I used one of my FAV Flutterby stencils of all time in the background and emphasised the stencilling with my black pen. I used a few different filler cards to act as layering pieces behind my photos too. I absolutely love cutting my own shapes from paper and included a few little turquoise hearts that I handcut from the filler cards.

The acrylic pieces are a great way to add extra interest to your layouts! I layered the "Good Vibes Only" piece on top of my 3x4" beach photo which really draws your eye to the image.

I've created a fun process video for you all today creating this layout. I hope you enjoy it below!! Scroll to the bottom of this post for the video...

Adele :)

PS. HAVE YOU SEEN THE NEW "HAPPILY EVER AFTER COLLECTION" YET?!?! To say I'm excited is an understatement!! I maaaaay have received my box of goodies a few days ago and boy oh boy, it's even prettier in real life. Can't wait to start making some new pages with it! Stay tuned...

Note to my 17 year old self by Allara Bamforth

Hey all,

I'm back on the blog today with a fun layout I've called 'Note to my 17 year old self' using a pic from my Year 12 formal which didn't end up being the best night in the world, dealing with the usual mean girl drama. Learning to 'smile through the bullshit' is one of the biggest lessons you can learn in life and I wish I knew that back then.

I've started off this layout by using three of the Flutter colour paints from the Bright Set - Grape Soda, Raspberry Punch and Sunshine Yellow. I slightly sprayed my page with water and just randomly blobbed over the paint. I then picked up another piece of cardstock and layed it over the top and ran my brayer over. It gives that cool effect a bit like when we were in school and you wanted to create a butterfly and folded your page over. There is the bonus of creating another background for later on.

I then used the He Said She Said Stencil with clear texture paste on the left hand side and a mandala stencil on the right hand side. Next I rubbed a little purple oxide ink over the top to make them stand out.

I used the I Heart You Stencil with some black ink to create some interest and then stamped a I Love washi tape stamp from Carabelle Stamps next to the hearts. I used some of my off cuts from the Good Vibes Only Everyday etc cards to accent the hearts on the other side.

I cut the title out of We Run the World everyday etc cards and some of the hearts from these cards for my wings.

I tucked a Flawsome Page tab in there too and a few quotes from the Blackboard Sticky Quotes. One thing I LOVE about Flutter Colour Paints is being able to pour them into my Fine Line Applicators. The fluid consistency of these paints is perfect for these applicators and I used the black to draw squiggles and circles around my page to finish it off and create some drip features and the top and bottom.

Thanks for tuning into the blog again.

Till next post,

Allara xx

as well as fussy cut the word 'Summer' from an Everyday Etc card.

I also added a flair and fussy cut an icypole from an everyday etc card.

I finished off with some enamel dots.

Salty Summer Vibes | Tamara Buckler

Hey Hey Scrappy Friends,

Tamara here today to share with you another fun summery layout featuring the new "Good Vibes Only" collection. I have been playing a lot with the pinks and yellows in the collection, but this time I went with the blues and green to create some salty summery feels.

I actually snuck this background paper in from the 'We run the World' 12x12 pack (it's on sale atm!). I love the freehand, loose feeling off the circles and thought it worked with the vibe I was going for. I smeared some Flutter Colour Paint in Green Limousine and Tropicana Teal across the centre of the page. I was super impressed with how the paper handled the paint, it didn't soak in all that much which meant the paper didn't warp and the colours stayed really vibrant.

I layered up this beach-side selfie on some the Everyday Etc Filler Cards, running one piece horizontally to give a landing spot for my embellishments. I added in the 'hello summer' die cut from the Bits and Bobs pack to a fairly empty space in my photo to create my title.

I used one of the flair buttons from the collection, and tucked in some more of the Bits and Bobs around the place. I love the sneaky pops of pink!

I have loved working with this collection to capture our summer memories, the cold is starting to creep in so I am holding on to those as long as I can! I did hear through the grape vine that we have a new collection on its way, and I'm getting excited about sharing that with you!!

Make sure you are sharing your layouts on in the Flutterby Inspiration HQ, we love seeing what you are creating with our awesome products!

Big Loves,
Tam xo

Hello Summer | Belinda Spencer

Hello hello!

Belinda here with you today to share a layout created with the totally fabulous Good Vibes Only collection.

'Hello Summer'

This layout was completely inspired by my son's awesome pineapple skull t-shirt so of course I had to start with the brilliant Knucklehead stencil. This would have to be my favourite stencil ever so I use it at every opportunity. I simply swiped some texture paste over it and let it dry.

Next I stapled on some layers of Everyday Etc Filler Photo Cards and topped with a Photo Card from the range as well as my photo.

Then I layered on as many embellishments as I could fit because the embellies in this collection are so cool!!

I liked the 'one of a kind' quote from the Cool Snippet Strips because my darling son really is. It also gave me the idea to turn one of the texture paste skulls into a one of a kind so I doodled around it with black pen to match the skull on my son's t-shirt. The sunglasses come from the Good Vibes Only Sticky Quick Quotes sheet and just fit the skull perfectly.

Here's what I used:

- Washi Tape

Thanks so much for stopping by the blog today peeps. I hope you are feeling inspired now to have a play with your own stash of Flutterby goodies. Make sure you share your beautiful projects in the Inspiration HQ Facebook Group so we can leave some love.

Cheers
Belinda
