Think of Yourself | Tamara Buckler

Hello Flutterby Friends,

Aren't you lucky, you get two layouts from me this week! This one was inspired by the beautiful 'Sami' paper from the We Run the World 12x12 paper pack. My youngest daughter is crazy about anything "Galaxy" at the moment, and this paper gave me those feels. I decided to recreate that feeling on some black card stock and this is what I come up with..

I had fussy cut this photo out for another project, but it didn't work over there. Luckily the colours of the pic worked perfectly with the 'Sami' paper and I love the way it jumps off the page here. To ground the picture though, I ran some texture paste through the new 'This is Me' stencil across the bottom half of the page, and then added some Gesso and Flutter Colour Paint to mask an area behind the photo.

To create the title for the page, I fussy cut a phrase from a Flawsome Everyday Etc Card. I backed each line with some white cardstock and popped it up on foam tape to separate it from the busy background.

With all of this going on, the page didn't need much embellishing, so I added in a Flair Button, which I altered to suit the page with some White Tiny Sticky Quotes. I then finished off the page with a few fussy cut elements, and it was done!

Thanks for stopping by today, and I hope you've enjoyed my page!

Beanie Boo Love | Tamara Buckler

Hello Flutterby Friends,

Tamara back here today sharing with you my first layout for September. This one is a bit of a stash buster, but it really came together around the giant title which I love!

The title started with the big 'Boo' which I was able to create using the Large Alpha Set stencil, which I have been eyeing off from in the shop for ages! I traced around the letters with a black sharpie and then filled them in with Flutter Colour Paint in Black Mayhem. I then fussy cut the 'Love' from the Mad About You Everyday Etc Cards to fit in with the giant black lettering. The purple letters were originally some white alphas from my stash, which I painted with some Grape Soda Flutter Colour Paint.

I added some texture to the left of the page by running some modelling paste through the Little Big Love stencil. This then framed where my photo stack needed to be.

I love the way this photo stack worked out. I layered up a heap of Everyday Etc Cards from various collections and in various sizes and colours, and it just pops! I tucked into these layers a heap of page tabs from the Fur Ever Friends collection, which worked in with all the crazy little critters in the picture.

I also tucked in a Mini Card Fussy Cut which is the 'Awesome' you can see down the left of my picture. I really like how this brings the white of the background to the forefront, and also ties in the rounded edges of the page tabs.

To embellish the photo stack, I fussy cut a flamingo from a Good Vibes Everyday Etc Card, and added in a Flair Button for good measure! To finish the page off, I added in various Die Cuts from different collections and a good dose of ink splatters.

Thanks for stopping by today, make sure you jump over and check out the shop, there's a heap of new stencils over there that need to be in your stash!

Big Loves,

Together | Belinda Spencer

Hello Flutterby peeps!!

Welcome to my first post for September!

Today I have another layout to share with you featuring the fabulous Happily Ever After collection.

'Together'

I have used the super pretty Sporadic Romantic 12 x 12 patterned paper for my background and enhanced it with some lovely Flutter Colour Paint in Green Limousine and Tropicana Teal.

I spritzed quite a bit of water onto my layout and then dropped diluted paint onto the surface to allow it to spread.

Once dry, I used the awesome BRAND NEW Cool as a Cucumber Stencil with some texture paste to add some more interest to the background. I chose some random words to highlight with a white paint pen.

I added a whole bunch of layers under my photo using off cuts of the other patterned papers in the range as well as Everyday Etc Filler Cards.

I love to add some fitting quotes using the Sticky Quick Quotes and the colours in the Tiny Rainbow quotes are perfect to co-ordinate with this range. I stuck the quotes down on white cardstock first for added strength and to give a nice little white border.

A sweet sprinkling of enamel dots never goes astray! They are the perfect little element to add detail to your page.

My layouts are never complete without the addition of page tabs either!

The wodd veneer title and the 'mine' comes from the Happily Ever After Wood Veneer Bits. These wood veneer sheets are so awesome and economical too!! I have used them on 8 layouts so far and still have some left!!

Here's what I used:

- 12 x 12 Sporadic Romantic
- 12 x 12 Drunk on Love
- 12 x 12 Blanket Thief
- Wood Veneer Bits

Thanks so much for stopping by the blog today to check out my layout.

Cheers
Belinda

I Like You | Sue Plumb

Hi everyone!
Sue Plumb here with my latest design team project for you. Today I have a mixed media layout to share featuring Flutter Colour Paints, a NEW Flutterby stencil and lots of bits and pieces from my Flutterby stash.

I started my page with my photo, which was taken at the Flutterby Designs 'Create by the Lake' retreat last year. (I actually can't believe I hadn't done this one yet!) It features four members of the 2017 design team, along with our boss lady Neet, and was taken at the end of some paint throwing fun.

Inspired by the paint splattered board in the photo, I pulled out my Flutter Colour paints and painted an abstract background. The colours I used were Fire Engine Red; Yellow Zest; Orange Goldfish and Tropicana Teal. (I also used a tiny splash of a Dina Wakley navy paint.)

I then took the new 'Arty Farty' stencil; Staz On black ink and a sponge dauber and applied the words from the stencil around my page. (I used washi tape to mask off sections of the stencil as I moved it around.)
I also added a few torn strips of one of the 'Happily Ever After' filler cards.

Once my background was complete, I cut a piece from the 'Blanket Thief' 12x12" paper from the 'Happily Ever After' collection; and used it as a mat under my photo. I also cut some smaller strips of the same paper which I placed between some of the stencilled words on my page.

On the corner of my photo I stapled a tab from the 'Partners in Crime' page tabs sheet. I also added a white Tiny Sticky Quote; and behind the photo I tucked a cute little guinea pig sticker from the 'Furever Friends' Sticky Quote sheet.

I figured this was a good chance to use up a few random bits from my stash, so I added the converse sneaker from the 'Xtreme Teen' Die Cut Bits & Bobs pack alongside my photo. My title, which I applied directly onto my photo, was cut from one of the 'Partners in Crime' Everyday Etc cards. (This is an awesome range for pages celebrating friendship.)

I took the opportunity to use some more stickers from the 'Furever Friends' Sticky Quote sheet, using the title and some of the word / quote stickers around my page. I also added some Bold Enamel Dots and Rainbow Heart stickers.

Alongside my photo on the left, I added a large ampersand cut from one of the 'Any Direction' Everyday Etc cards; a "rad" sticker from the 'Xtreme Teen' Sticky Quotes sheet; and the 'You Inspire Me' flair button (from set #417).

That's all from me today. Make sure you head over to the Flutterby Designs store HERE to check out all the new goodies in store. There are new stencils and page kits that have been listed, so pop over and snap them up before they are all gone.
Until next time, happy scrapping!

She Stood in the Storm by Allara Bamforth

Happy Tuesday!

I'm back on the blog today with a stash busting layout using lots of pretty pastel colours! Although I scrapbook to preserve memories of my beautiful family, I also tend to produce layouts that kind of reflect life decisions that are currently happening in my life. This layout happened to turn into one of those moments where the creative process helped me make some important career decisions which presented themselves last week!

For this layout I've used the beautiful 'Sporadic Romantic' 12x12 paper from the Happily Ever After Collection and cut an angled shape for the left hand side of my page and then cut out some of the gorgeous flower designs from the page to mount underneath my photo stack. Then using three matching colours of oxide inks, I've splattered these over the white cardstock base and the cut out pieces.

Using one of the quotes 'She stood in the storm', that I based the page on from the We Run the World collection Everday Etc Cards , I've stacked it with  more Every day etc Filler cards mostly from We Run the World but some offcuts from some of the other fab collections. I then tucked in some muslin in behind the photos stack to add some softness and texture.

To the top left of the photo stack I've added a photo tab from the We Run the World collection.  Then to the top of the quote I've added a couple of 'White' Tiny Sticky quotes and then the 'Always' die cuts from the 'Mad about You' collection. To the right of the quote I've added an oldie but goodie Flair Button from the amazing collection of Flair Buttons which are on the website (if you haven't checked out the full collection for a while - you really should!).

Q
And there we have the finished layout. Not a lot of mixed media this time around, as I really wanted the beautiful paper and important message to shine.

Thanks for taking a peek.

Till next post,

Allara xx

Happy Life | Rachel Dutko

Hi everyone

Today I have a bright and fun selfie page to share with you.

To create my background I added some Flutter Colour Paint in 'Tropicana Teal'.
I also added some splatters of 'Violet' Colour Blast Colour Spray.

I used some 'Happily Ever After' Everyday Etc filler cards , cutting them into
strips and weaving them together to create my colourful background.
I also added some small squares scattered around the page.

I fussy cut my title from a 'Happily Ever After' Everyday Etc card.

Because the paper layers were so bright and busy I kept the embellishments to a minimum.

I added a flair button , some snippet strips and

Thanks for looking

Love You | Belinda Spencer

Happy Monday Flutterby peeps!!

Belinda here today to share another layout for August featuring the Happily Ever After collection.

This layout shows how you can use lots of leftover scraps of patterned paper and filler cards. I pretty much used just leftover bits for the layers under my photo which I cropped into a non-standard size. I love using up all of my little leftover bits this way. They are great for cards too.

I used the fabulous 'All You Need Is Love' Stencil with some texture paste on the heavy white cardstock background. Once dry, I diluted some Orange Goldfish and Raspberry Punch Flutter Colour Paint with water and spritzed the layout with heaps of water too. I used a soft wet paintbrush to add the diluted paints to the layout letting them spread across the wet surface and create pools of colour. I left it to dry for a while before I used a bit of scrunched paper towel to mop up the excess water in some places. I finished off the drying with a heat gun.

I had heaps of paint left over and because I hate to waste it, I used the same technique to add it to a page in one of my art journals. Now I have a page ready to go! I always keep an art journal or tag handy to mop up any paint/ink leftover from projects. Saves heaps of time later.

I used an eclectic mix of wood veneer, page tabs, filler cards and sticky quick quotes to add extra detail and interest.

Here's what I used:

- 12 x 12 Blanket Thief patterned paper
- 12 x 12 Boring Together patterned paper
- 12 x 12 Forever and Ever patterned paper
- Wood Veneer Bits

- 'Mad About You' Wood Veneer
- White Tiny Sticky Quotes

Thanks for stopping by the blog today!

Cheers
