Well S*&# Aye II Chrissi Mannix

Hello Lovelies,
So its been awhile since I've been in my art room, and my mojo is lacking a little. But this weekend was full of some big moments that I just HAD to journal about. I have, what I call a creative journal. Its a mix between a journal, an Art journal and a brain dump I say. it's my outlet.
and this weekend, my hot water tank, literally exploded on Friday night. Not so fun.
So this was def something to journal about, and if there was ever a time for the
Sentence Enhancer Collection, well this was it.
I started with the Sentence enhancer stencil, and some modeling paste. I wanted a few choice words to stand out from my background. Then I used some coloured ink and water to add colour to my page. This makes the texture paste pop aswell.
I printed my pictures in a small size so I could add 2 to my page. I stapled them together and glued them to my page. I used some stickers from past sticker sheets below my photos to express a few phrases that were used during this moment lol.
I knew I wanted to highlight my "title', and the Sentence Enhancer wood veneer set had the perfect words for this page. The wood veneer is always alot thinner then usual, which means it didn't bulk up my page, and my journal. A reason I Adore the Flutterby Wood Veneer. I used some of my fave alpha stamps and archival ink to complete my heading.
So that's it from me for today, I hope you enjoyed the little look into my Creative Journal/brain dump as I lovingly refer to it, and I will be back soon with a new scrappy project.
Happy Scrapping

Stay Wild | Belinda Spencer

Hello Flutterby peeps!

Belinda here today to share another layout for October featuring a lovely mix of past products.

NOTE: This layout contains sentence enhancers. Look away if you are offended by swear words

'Stay Wild'

I decided to stick to a pink and orange yellow colour combination for this layout so I started by applying some Raspberry Punch and Arctic White Flutter Colour Paint to my background cardstock using a palette knife. Once that was dry I mixed some Orange Goldfish paint with texture paste and applied over the Shake Your Tail Feather Stencil. I diluted a little of the Raspberry Punch and Orange Goldfish paints with water and splattered them over the background too. I left to dry for a while before I got too impatient and finished off with the heat gun.

I mixed and matched filler cards from different collections but mostly from the Wild Bohemian range. This is one of my all-time favourite Flutterby ranges and the good news is you can still find some available in the store AND it is on sale!! The 'wild' kind of suits the photo of my darling daughter when she was much, much younger and the queen of tanties! (She was actually putting it on for the camera in this shot. She wasn't quite that feral for real thank goodness!)

I love tucking in a fresh white fussy cut to break up all of the colour from the various filler cards too.

I added a mix of quotes from a couple of Snippet Strips as well as some Page Tabs which are one of my favourite Flutterby embellishments.

I cut the 'wild' word for the title from a Wild Bohemian Photo Card and added some Thickers from my stash to finish.

Finally I added a sprinkling of Confetti Circles and Enamel Dots as well as a flair button.

I hope you are having a lovely scrappy Sunday using your own Flutterby stash.

Thanks for stopping by.

Cheers
Belinda

Purr-fect Arsehole | Sue Plumb

Hi everyone!
Sue Plumb here with my latest design team project for you. Today I am sharing an 8.5x11" mixed media scrapbook page featuring some photos of my cat when he was still a kitten. I had been wanting to document this series of snaps for a while and I knew exactly which quote I was going to use!

I began my layout with white cardstock, adding some purple watercolour paint along the top portion of the page and then holding it vertically and letting it run down. I then layered over it with some Flutter Colour paints. First 'Grape Soda', applied roughly over the top of some of the watercolour paint, and also in the bottom right corner of the page. Next, I added some 'Stormy Grey', which I spread around using a brayer.

Next, it was time for some texture and contrast. I used the 'Macaroon 5' stencil and Colour Blast 'Singin' the Blues' Colour Paste and applied it in three small areas of my page before drying with a heat gun. At this point I decided I wanted to strip back a bit of colour so I grabbed my 'Arctic White' paint and spread a little around with my brayer in my focal area. I then rubbed off the excess paint randomly around the page.

I then created a layered mat for my photo strip, using some Everyday Etc filler cards and a page tab from the 'One of Those Days' sheet, which I secured with small staples. Once I had all the layers in place I added my photos on top, mounting them up on some cardboard to pop them up a bit. Then it was time for my feature quote, which I fussy cut from one of the 'Fur-ever Friends' Everyday Etc cards and then placed above and below my photos.

At the top of my page I added the what the fuck? Snippet Strip, and you have got to be kidding black Tiny Sticky Quote.
Next, I created my title, which I placed in the bottom right corner of my page. I started by adding the word arsehole using the 'Sentence Enhancers' stencil, a sponge dauber and ink. I then added the purr-fect die cut from the 'Fur-ever Friends' Die Cut Bits & Bobs pack. Above that, I added the one of a kind Snippet Strip, and the hey you black Tiny Sticky Quote.

Alongside my title, I added the cat is in charge sticker from the 'Fur-ever Friends' Sticky Quote sheet. Then it was time for some finishing touches. I used one of my favourite stamps to add some random dots and spots around my page. I also used my Stabilo All pencil to add some page borders and scribbled details around my page. Finally, I added some splatters of aqua mist, stamped the date, and I was done!
Thanks for stopping by today so I could share this with you.
Until next time, happy scrapping!

Fuck This | Sue Plumb

Hi Flutterby peeps!
Sue Plumb here to share my latest design team project with you.
(And I should probably warn you - it features my favourite "sentence enhancer" too.)
As you may know, the brand new 'Good Vibes' collection was released earlier this week (find all the newest stock in store HERE); so while I was waiting for it to hit my doorstep, I decided to use up some of my older bits and pieces. I had this fabulous photo of my boys on their first day of school that was begging to be scrapped (quite obviously one was more impressed with school than the other was! haha).

I started this page by smearing some Sunshine Yellow Flutter Colour Paint on white cardstock using an old gift card; then I built up the layers on my page using some stamps and black ink.
I then added some Xtreme Teen Everyday Etc filler cards, that I layered together to form a mat for my photo. I also added a ticket from the Xtreme Teen Tickets pack, which I secured with small staples.

It was quite clear what was going through my son's head when I took this photo, so I figured it would make the perfect title for my page. I used (my very last) fuck wood veneer, which I coloured black and paired with some Cocoa Vanilla Studio black alpha stickers.

Below my photo, I added the quote card which was from the Xtreme Teen Everyday Etc card pack - it worked so perfectly for my school photo! Under the quote card I added a phrase sticker from the Blackboard Sticky Quotes; and I also added a few bold enamel dots around my page.

To finish my layout I added a Charms Creations star, which I topped with the fuck this flair button from the Sentence Enhancers flair button set. I also added some wood veneer stars, that I coloured black and placed around my page.
I am so happy with how this page came out - I am sure it will give my boys a laugh in the future!
That's all from me today, thanks for stopping by. Until next time, happy scrapping!

Unleash Your Inner Awesome | Tamara Buckler

Hey Hey Flutterby Peeps!

Happy Monday, I hope you all had a fab weekend and managed to squeeze in some scrappy time. Today I'm here to share with a layout using a mixed bag of Flutterby products. I have to say it is a real credit to Anita that all of her ranges work so well together, it makes using up your stash so easy and enjoyable!

I actually started this layout by choosing my photo, which is not always something that I do. For some reason this pic makes me sing 'you spin my head right round, right round' and this became the inspiration for the circles in the background. I traced in pencil around various round objects to get the lines, and then went all scratchy and doodley with a sharpie. To add the colour, I watered down some FlutterColour paint in Grape Soda, Raspberry Punch and Tropicana Teal, and used the packaging technique to roughly add them around the circle pattern.

This colour combo came from the Everyday Etc Card 'Unleash your inner Awesome' from the Creative Chaos range, as I new I wanted this to be my title. This also inspired the small triangles that run around the circle as the background of this card features triangles. I cut these by hand, and glued them down in the areas of corresponding colour. The photo is matted with more Everyday Etc Cards from various ranges, but still sticking to these 3 main colours.

The main embellishment cluster to the left of the photo features a saying from another Everyday Etc Card in the Creative Chaos collection, which I fussy cut off the card. The cluster is backed by a frame from the 'Mad About You' Everyday Etc Cards, and features a Flair Button from the Sentence Enhancer range.

I was also able to include some Page Tabs from the Fur-ever Friends collection. This was a total win, because we aren't cat people, but this pic is of my daughter getting ready to play the Cheshire Cat, so 'Crazy Cat Lady' worked perfectly!

I added a second cluster to the top right of my circles, using a White Sticky Quote, a Flawsome Die Cut and some enamel dots,  in order to balance off the page, and with that it was done!

Thanks for stopping by today and checking out my layout. Let me know if you have any questions about creating this background, it was a fun one!!

You are loved...Dumbass | Tamara Buckler

Hey, Hey Scrappy peoples,

Welcome back to the Flutterby Blog today! This weekend seems to be a busy one for lots of our scrappy friends and DT chicks, as they are off enjoying a retreat. I myself am still recovering from the epic long weekend that was #createbythelake2017. Seriously good fun, lots of scrappy time and side splitting laughs with like minded people. The BEST!

I'm back on the blog today to share one of the layouts that I created at retreat. I stumbled across some 8.5 x 11.5 cardstock while I was there, and I can tell you, I am in love with this size!! Its so cute and compact, but the dimensions work in so many ways.

I went pretty hard with the gesso on the background here, and then mixed up some texture paste with the Raspberry Punch Flutter Colour paint through my fave 'I heart you' stencil. I then did the same with the gorgeous new 'Little Big Love' stencil and the Grape Soda Flutter Colour Paint. I then went a bit free range with Aquamarine Dream Flutter Colour Paint, and then watered down some Bahama Blue to splatter all over the page.

I altered one of the wood veneers from the new 'Flawsome' collection with the Aquamarine Flutter Colour Paint, and then inked around the edges to grunge it up. I layered up the 'Flawsome' Everyday Etc Filler Cards behind my pic, but didn't pop my photo up as there is already so much dimension on the page.

To balance off the page, I added some page tabs from the Sentence Enhancers and Mad About You pack. As well as the rad 'love who you are' flair from the Flawsome range.   Finishing touches were the Neon Enamel Dots, as well as some Die Cuts and Snippet Strips.

Thanks for stopping by to check out my layout, I hope you're having awesome scrappy adventures!!

Big Loves,
Tam x

You Wouldn't Believe It | Sue Plumb

Hi peeps! It's Sue Plumb back again with another Flutterby layout to share. Today I have gone back to revisit an old favourite release of mine, the 'One of Those Days' collection. I was prompted to dig this one out when I came across this photo of one of my boys. I am sure it is a moment almost every mum can relate to. You know, when you leave the room for ONE minute and walk back in to a scene like this. Argh!!

I started with a white cardstock background for this one, and brushed some orange watercolour over it using a wide brush; then drizzled with the 'Stormy Grey' Flutter Colour paint from the Monochrome set.

I fussy cut the main portion of my title from one of the 'One of Those Days' Everyday Etc cards; which I complimented with some black Tiny Sticky Quotes and some 'Bright' enamel dots.

Underneath my photo I layered some Everyday Etc Filler cards to add dimension, and used a punch to add a notebook edge. I also added a paper doily, the shit has hit the fan page tab; and some messy cotton thread.

Below my photo I added a Blackboard Sticky Quote; fuck wood veneer word (which I painted black); a quote cut from an Everyday Etc card; and another black Tiny Sticky Quote.

I finished off by embellishing directly onto my photo using a wood veneer geotag (painted white); a monochrome flair button; and a grey Snippet Strip. Then I splattered around a bit of black mist, added a few stamped phrases and I was done.

Thanks for stopping by today so I could share this with you. I will be back again in a couple of weeks to share another Flutterby project with you.
Until then, happy scrapping! X
