Unicorn, with Ros Madley

Hi everyone.
My page this week features the awesome Flawsome collection, with just a little different use of the set.

I had a lot of fun making this layout which i started with a piece of gelli printed cardstock.
Some flutter color paint has then been dabbed through a stencil to finish my background.

I used some Filler Cards and cut them in different size squares.   I used this as the base for my cluster.

On top of this I've added a tag that i made a while ago.   It's been sitting on my desk for ages and think it goes perfect with the colours and shapes in the Flawsome set.  The circles on the background have also been cut from a Filler Card.

Super cute unicorn quote has been cut from a Filler Card.   I dusted off my copics and added a unicorn stamp.  On top of this is a little Wood Veneer, coloured with pink texta.

I've used some scrapdots on the heart die cuts to add some dimension.  Page has been finished off with a couple  stamps and a sprinkle of sequins.

Hope you've been inspired.

Stay Weird & Happy | Belinda Spencer

Hello Flutterby lovelies!!

Belinda here today to share two layouts featuring the totally fabulous Flawsome collection.

'Stay Weird' Layout

How cute is that 'Big Little Love'Stencil?? Cute right? I swiped some Golden Light Molding Paste over it to create a sweet textured background. Once the paste was dry, I spritzed the surface with water and then added diluted Flutter Colour Paint in my favourite colour...Tropicana Teal! I love to dilute it to a watercolour consistency and add with a soft, wet paintbrush to my layout to create a lovely wash of colour. I then spritzed with a bit more water and then set aside to dry.

I used one of my favourite photos of my kids and I messing about taking selfies for a christmas photo shoot session. I created lots of layers under my photo using co-ordinating filler photo cards.

Finally I added some page tabs, a flair button and some kick ass wood veneer pieces.

Next up is a layout about me. Eek!!

'Happy' Layout

For this layout I created the background in the same way as the first layout. This time I used the 'Flawsome' Stencil which I LOVE!! I did actually find it a bit hard and weird to use those words to describe myself though.

I have used a lovely soft palette for this layout of aqua, grey, white and black. It's a favourite colour combination of mine. When I created my colour wash for the background I added a little Arctic White Flutter Colour Paint to the Tropicana Teal to create a slightly softer colour.

I outlined the two words that I thought best described me just like the word 'incredible' on the filler photo card. I can't stop using those gorgeous wood veneer pieces from the range so I scattered those from top to bottom of my layout.

Have you had a chance to create with this stunning range yet? If you have, please make sure you share your beautiful creation in our Flutterby Inspiration Group on Facebook. I would love to see what you have done with your stash.

Thanks for stopping by.

Cheers
Belinda

The Queen of all the Colours & ART not everyone will understand | Krisy Podolak

Hi Flutterby Lovelies,

Krisy back today, and I can tell you that right now I would be at "Create By the Lake" chilaxing and sucking in some creative juices from all the ladies around me.  This blog was written in advance but I know I will have some wicked layouts to share coming very soon to the blog.

Anyways, todays share is all about me.  I don't scrap about me very often as my own person, but I'm trying to include "Me" a bit more.

The Extreme Teen collection had a few cards that really described me.  Maybe I just am not ready to fully adult yet.  Actually, I know I don't want to be a full adult EVER.

I haven't really ever left my teenage goth phase behind, black is still my go to colour to wear.  So, the "Black is my Happy Colour" card from the Everyday Etc Card pack was perfect for me.  I also have the mouth of a well educated sailor so a little bit of censorship and Parental Advice is required for some people that meet me in real life.  I have always been that way.

My Knucklehead stencil is my very favourite ever.  I love Skulls and bones.

Here is another layout about me and my latest addition to my body art.  I used the Fragmented Stencil to add some details to my background and then I used an Everyday Etc Card from the Creative Chaos Collection.  I also inked a bit of wood veneer with Stayzon to add #this is awesome to the bottom right hand corner of the page.

That's it from me today.

Absolutely F**king Gorgeous | Sue Plumb

Hi Flutterby peeps!
Sue Plumb here to share my latest design team project with you. Today I have a 12x12" mixed media layout using the brand new 'Flawsome' collection. This range is perfect for scrapping selfies, and what better selfie to scrap than a funny Snap Chat shot. As soon as I saw the colours in some of the cards in this collection, I immediately thought of this "drag queen" selfie I took recently...

I decided to use a black background to help the bright colours pop. I began by adding some 'Tropicana Teal' Flutter Colour paint to my cardstock using a short, flat brush and some randomly placed strokes. I then took some 'Arctic White' Flutter Colour paint and watered it down, before using another brush to splatter it across my background.

I then created a layered mat for my photo using several of the Everyday Etc cards from the collection and some messy cotton thread for texture. I also added one of the coordinating Page Tabs which I tucked in behind my photo; along with the BOLD wood veneer, which I layered with a Tiny Sticky Quote.

On the corner of my photo, I added the beautiful mole flair button, which I also layered with some more messy thread.

I fussy cut the absolutely fucking gorgeous words I used for my title from one of the Everyday Etc. I also added a few neon enamel dots to my page for some extra pops of colour.

To finish off, I added some small torn pieces to a couple of my page edges; the hello lovely Blackboard Sticky Quote; handwritten journal strips and a few staples. I am really happy with how this one came out and can't wait to create some more pages with this range!

Please note that the Flutterby Designs store is currently closed due to the Flutterby 'Create by the Lake' Retreat that kicks off this Thursday. The store will re-open on Monday 1st August.
For everyone who is coming along to this weekend's retreat - I will see you there!
Until next time, happy scrapping!

She's the S*%T.... and a bonus layout

Hey Flutterby Peeps...

She's my pre-teen and she is full of 110% attitude and sass... and what better pic than this one to go with the new 'Flaw'some Collection...

Ive used the 'FLAWSOME' Everyday Etc Cards and 'FLAWSOME' - FILLER CARDS' Everyday Etc Cards to create this layout and the BONUS one down below... Extra inspiration to get the creative juices flowing..

Over the weekend I did a class with the gorgeous Amy Prior and created this free hand flower back ground. It totally inspired me to scrap the Zygo Cactus I have blooming at the front of my house, and this 'FLAWSOME' Everyday Etc Cards was perfect for it!

Dont forget the shop is closed until 01/08/17 as we will be creating up a storm at the annual Fluterby Retreat... I cant wait to get arty with my tribe and have almost all the Flutterby Design team together... It promises to be a wild weekend and we will have lots of pics to share... well, Internet appropriate ones anyway...

Love and light..

You had me at meow, with Ros Madley

I thought it was time to put my other fur baby, Eevee, into the spotlight with the Fur-Ever Friends range.
This background was started with a stamp and some gelatos.

I've done a little fussy cutting with some of the cards and layered them up with a row of photos, tags, photo tab and a flair button.

I have scattered some Enamel dots around my layout.

And finished it off with a Sticky Quote.

Hope you've been inspired ♥

Love This | Belinda Spencer

Hi Flutterby peeps!!

Belinda here today with the first of my July posts featuring the totally awesome 'Flawsome' collection.

There is so much to love about this collection; from the stunning colours to the brilliant quotes and sentence enhancers. The perfect range to scrap those selfie photos.

'Love This' Layout

I recently decided to trial creating layouts in an A4 format as opposed to my regular 12" x 12". It is mainly for ease of storage. So much easier (and cheaper) to store them in ring binders instead of the giant plastic tubs I have stacked up in my already cramped old home. Let me know what you think of this size and if you have tried scrapping in this format. I think I like it.

I began this layout by swiping some Golden Light Molding Paste over the stunning Little Big Love stencil. How cute are those little love hearts? I then diluted some of the Flutter Colour Paints to a watercolour consistency, spritzed my background with water and then applied the runny paints with a large soft, wet paintbrush. Spritzed again. Mopped up a little of the excess liquid with scrunched up paper towel and then dried with a heat gun. This is pretty much my 'go to' technique tfor starting each of my layouts. When you are onto a good thing and all that. ;-)

I decided to scrap a strip of fun photo booth photos of myself and the uber talent that is Louise Nelson taken at the Seriously Scrapbooking All Day Scrap last year. I chopped up the filler photo cards with the strips of pattern and scattered them over my background to frame my photo strip.

I then layered on some of the fabulous co-ordinating embellies, wood veneer, bits & bobs and a flair from the collection.

Here's what I used:

- Flair Button
- Grape Soda
- Raspberry Punch
- Sunshine Yellow
- Tropicana Teal

Thanks so much for checking out my layout today. Make sure you share your own Flawsome creations in the Flutterby Inspiration HQ group. I would love to see them.

Cheers
Belinda

Butterfly House | Tamara Buckler

Hey, Hey, Happy Saturday!

I'm up today to share a layout with you sharing the new 'Flawsome' collection. This collection is so full of super empowering quotes, and is all about self love and appreciating the beauty in our everyday.

When I saw the beautiful butterfly quote in Everyday Etc Cards, I knew I had to scrap these photos of my girls at the butterfly house in Coffs Harbour.

I started by smearing some Green Limousine FlutterColour Paint on the background using an old store card, and then splattered some Orange paint all over the place. I then mixed some Aquamarine Dream FlutterColour Paint with some texture paste and spread it through the new Little Big Love Stencil. Such a random colour combo, but I think it works!

I added my title using some Thickers, and then added a Snippet Strip and altered a Flawsome Wood Veneer heart with paint and kindy glitz to balance the top of the page.

Thanks for stopping by to check out my page! Hope you have an awesome scrappy weekend!

Big Loves,
Tam x
