Today Totally Sucked...NOT by Kylie Cornish

Sharing something bright and colourful today.

The family and I where invited to the Indian Spring Festival, Holi.
Here they celebrate the beginning of Spring with a colourful powder fight and they add water just to make it more fun and WET!
The photo on my layout is the aftermath of my hubby waiting his turn to take a shower.

Products Used

Enamel Dots - BOLD

'Blank Palette' - Page Tabs

Also I popped the camera on and recorded my scrappy process!

Oh how I wish it was Spring right now!
I would love to attend another Holi Festival.

BE | Sue Plumb

Hi Flutterby peeps!
I am so excited to be here today for my first share since joining the team officially. So to start you all off, (and for anyone who doesn't know me), I thought I might jump in with a layout that features a photo of...me! *gasp* Like many of you, I don't often scrap photos of myself (and when I do the kids are usually in it with me), so I thought I would cut loose with this one...

I started by creating my background on a sheet of patterned paper from Cocoa Vanilla Studio. I used orange Flutter Colour Paint, which I swiped across my page with an old credit card, and then squeezed yellow to create some of the "Anita-style" paint splatters. (I was itching to try this technique with these paints, and I am very impressed with the result - it retains its shape and dimension perfectly!)

I cut out this Dr Suess quote from an Everyday Etc 'One of Those Days' Photo Cards to use instead of journaling. It seemed really appropriate for this layout about me, and I am a huge Dr Suess fan. You can also see where I used the Stargazed stencil to add some doodled stars to my background using a Sharpie pen.

I used some short phrases cut from the 'Cool' and 'Monochrome' Snippet Strips packs to support my title. These are a quick and easy way to add extra words to your layouts by simply cutting them up and sticking them on. (And there are so many to choose from, making them great value too!)

For the layers under my photo, I used a combination of washi tapes; a paper doily; tissue paper; a couple of Page Tabs; and one of the Everyday Etc 'Brights - Filler Cards'. I also used the 'Abstract 4' wood veneer piece (which I coloured black with a paint pen) to the right of my photo to help balance my design.

To finish, I added a cute camera Flair Button (from set #229), which I nested on some cotton thread and a few Enamel Dots. (Because let's face it - what layout is complete without either of those, right?)

Thanks for stopping by today for my first official Flutterby Designs post, am looking forward to sharing many more projects with you all!

Poppies | Krisy Podolak

Today I'm sharing a Design Team Layout for Flutterby Designs using the new Flutterby paints.  I did a DT share a while a go using this technique on a Mail Art Pizza box and I had a request for a process video so I thought, why not kill to birds with one stone.  Here is today's project share and a process video.
main.jpg
Once my layout was created (you'll have to watch the video on how to do it) I added some hand made Satin poppies to make it look more like a poppy field.  Then added a few embellishments and some journalling.  The layout is fairly simple as all the detail is in the background.  These paints are so versatile to use so if you haven't committed yet let me tell you - you are missing out.
Here are a few close ups....

And as promised here is a process video on how to paint some abstract poppies.  Have a go they are easy to do and so pretty. Head over to POPLEOPOD

'#COOLKIDS' by Anita Rodway

Hey hey Flutterby fans!
Boss lady here & I've popped in to share this simple,
but pretty cool layout I created at a retreat of a picture
at a different retreat LOL.

'#COOLKIDS'

I've used the 'Lead The Way' stencil & some medium.
I then grabbed the 'Lime Sorbet' Flutter Colour paint, & added some paint swishes.

Once that was dry, I was ready to finish it off!
I grabbed a card from the 'Happy Together - Filler'
Everyday Etc Card pack, some page tabs
& I used 3 flair buttons.

"11" by Sharmaine Kruijver

What's to do when you have left over paint but to use it up!

So use it up I did.

I've used not one but two Flutterby Stencils
"On The Plus Side" & "Random Blatherings".

Using a wood bit I topped a flair to highlight the birthday month.

And this photo cut-out said all that was needed to be said!

Hope you keep warm and have a creative week.

Our Newest DT Member....SUE PLUMB!!!

WELCOME OUR NEWEST
DT MEMBER...

We have a new member joining the Flutterby Designs DT,
it is the gorgeous, Sue Plumb!
I am so thrilled she's jumping on the team to
showcase our products & show you with
her scrapping style.

"I am a SAHM of three (daughter Brielle, 8 and twin sons Hunter and Kaden, 4)
and live in the gorgeous Glass House Mountains in Queensland.
I have been scrapping for approximately 7 years, having started after the birth
of my daughter. I took an extended break after the premature arrival of my boys,
and these days my biggest scrapping struggle is trying to find time with two
rowdy boys underfoot!
I currently design for Australian manufacturer Cocoa Vanilla Studio (online store),
D-Lish Scraps (online store), Scrap the Boys challenge blog, and Show Us Your Stuff challenge blog. I have also had work published regularly in Scrapbooking Memories magazine. My style can best be described as varied - sometimes it may be clean and linear, and at other times messy and eclectic. What can I say? I like to keep things interesting!
I am so thrilled to be a designer for Flutterby Designs, as I have been a fan of Anita's products since the very beginning! I hope I can inspire you with what I have created."

Art Journal Page "Remember to Create" by Kylie Cornish

Hello Flutterby peeps!!

Today I am sharing a page from my art journal.
This page was inspired by the Photo Cut Out Frame 44
I just love the colour in this set and I had already used the frames and I had the "Remember tab" left, so I used it and a flair for my title on the page.
I also remember to turn my camera on again so at the end of the post you can watch my process of making this page. :)
