Embrace your flaws....

Hey Flutterby Peeps,

FLAWSOME!!!... I seriously cannot get enough of this collection!!!

I think I'm up to a dozen layouts, and I still have ideas buzzing in my head.
Here is another grungy layout in my signature style, with my all time fav technique... messy stitching.

Ive used a pink mixed media 'Flawsome' Filler Cards for my background and fussy cut the 'Embrace your Flaws' from the 'Flawsome' Everyday Etc Cards. Add to that a punched out book tab from the black card in the filler pack, and a 'Fearless' tab from the 'FLAWSOME' Die Cut Bits & Bobs

A simple page with only a few elements, that all combined pack a nice visual punch.

There is also some limited edition kits in the shop if your looking for some awesome pages to get your mojo flowing... get in quick before they sell out!

Just be Cool with Ros Madley

Hi again Flutterby Fans.  This weeks page I'm showcasing the awesome Xtreme Teen collection.

I've done quite a few pages with this set but I don't think one of them has featured a teenager.  The collection is so perfect for lots of stages.

My cardstock once again has been created with a gelli press and some paint.  I have also put a layer of moulding paste over the top of this with the Macaroon 5 stencil.

I have used Everyday Etc and filler cards for my photo cluser and added a couple of  page tabs to this.
The wood veneer title has been painted with Black Mahem and Grape Soda Flutter Colour Paint.

Finishing off the layout is a little cluster of sticky quotes and enamel dots.

Hope you've been inspired ♥

Flawsome | Belinda Spencer

Hello Flutterby peeps!

Belinda here today to share another layout featuring the totally brilliant Flawsome collection.

'Flawsome' Layout

I started with that fabulous 'Flawsome' Stencil that I am totally in love with. I swiped some Golden Light Molding Paste over it with a palette knife and dried with a heat gun. I spritzed some water over the page, diluted some Flutter Colour Paint and applied it to the background with a soft wet paintbrush. I used Flutter Colour Paint in Grape Soda, Raspberry Punch and Tropicana Teal.

I used just one Everyday Etc Filler Photo Card under my photo which co-ordinated perfectly with the paint colours.

I then piled on the wood veneer, die cut bits and bobs, flair button and stickers. Oh and THAT quote from the Everyday Etc Photo Cards. I just love it. Suits me perfectly. LOL

Here's what I used:

FLAWSOME:
- Flair

- Grape Soda
- Raspberry Punch
- Tropicana Teal

I hope you are loving this range as much as I am. Don't forget to share your creations in the Flutterby Inspiration HQ Facebook group HERE. We would love to see what you have made and leave some love.

Thanks for stopping by the blog.

Cheers
Belinda

Embrace your flaws | Tamara Buckler

Hey Hey, Flutterby Peeps,

I'm back again today to share with you another layout that I created with the awesome Flawsome range!

I'm loving that there is a softer, more pastel side to this range. My amazing team mate Belinda Spencer has been showing this so amazingly in her last few layouts (check it out here & here!). So I've stepped over to the softer side and given it a crack!

I've mixed up some of FlutterColour Paint in Raspberry Punch, Aquamarine Dream, and Sunshine Yellow with some Whipped Spackle to make the beautiful pastel colours that I have run through the always fabulous 'I Heart You' stencil. I then layered up some strips of the Flawsome Everyday etc Filler Cards, as well as matted my photo, to create some beautiful pastel layers behind my pic.

To create this title I fussy cut the sentiment from one of the Flawsome Everyday etc Photo Cards, and popped it up on some foam dots for extra impact.

With so much texture and pretty colour going on, I didn't need to do much to embellish the page. I bought in some of the Flawsome Wood Veneers, Page Tabs, and a Mad About You Flair Button. And then finished things off with some White Tiny Sticky Quotes, and some beautiful enamel dots. Too easy!

Thanks for stopping by to check us out, and I hope you have lots of scrappy good time planned for this weekend!

Big Loves,
Tam x

Bloom & This one time...| Krisy Podolak

Hi Flutterby Lovelies,
Krisy back again today to share some more inspiration.  Today I have two layouts.  The first is a bit pretty and inspirational using the new "Flawsome" Collection the second is a little laugh at being young and silly when travelling the world.  I will warn you the photos may be a little graphic for some but do know that everyone was a willing participant and it was just a bit of fun.

First I will share my Bloom layout.  This layout came about after I did a Fiona Paltridge class at the 2017 Create By the Lake Flutterby Retreat this year. If you ever have a chance to do Fiona's watercolour class I highly recommend it.  It is so much fun and the technique is so versatile.  I just want to paint flowerly blooms everywhere.

Now on to my this one time layout...The word dumbass is what inspired this layout.  In our twenties my husband (then boyfirend) and I spend 2 years working and living in Scotland and backpacking around Europe,Canada and America.  So this is an ode to that and the fun we had.  As I said the pictures some will find inappropriate but we are not the only "kids" that have photos like this especially those who have travelled.  There are so many appropriate statues that call for poses around the world.  These ones are from Oslo.

Thanks for stopping by today.
Krisy xx

Go BIG or Go Home | Sue Plumb

Hi peeps! Sue Plumb here, and today I have a project to share that was created using some of the goodies from the new 'Flawsome' collection. (I actually completed this one while I was away on the Flutterby retreat!) I scrapped a Snap Chat selfie that I took with my fave vampire filter (isn't it fabulous? I love how the blood trickles out when you open your mouth!)

I started with a mixed media background for this page - first some black gesso smeared onto my cardstock, then I mixed some 'Grape Soda' Flutter Colour paint with a little water and splattered it around my page using a small brush.

I knew EXACTLY which quote from the new collection that I was going to pair with my photo and that was the reason for my colour choices for this page. (Could I have used anything else but - I already know I am going to hell. At this point it's really GO BIG or go home?! It was perfect!) I fussy cut the quote from one of the 'Flawsome' Everyday Etc cards.

I used a number of different filler cards for my layered photo mat behind my photo. Some were from the coordinating 'Flawsome' pack, and some from the 'Happy Together' filler card set. I also added a page tab from the 'Flawsome' sheet; some frayed gauze; and black cotton thread to my layers.

The next thing I did was to create a small cluster alongside my photo. I used the die cut quote from the 'Flawsome' Bits & Bobs pack, a flair button and a black Tiny Sticky Quote.

Next, I added a few circle wood veneer pieces (which I coloured with a white paint pen) randomly around my page and a Charms Creations arrow to help highlight my quote.

To finish off, I added a few stamped hell yeah phrases using a Typo stamp, and then splattered some black and red mist around.

Thanks for stopping by the Flutterby blog today so I could share this with you. If you've got some fun Snap Chat selfies stored on your phone, then get some printed and scrap them! They are sure to amuse you when you look back on them in years to come.

I will be back again in a couple of week's time with another project to share. Until then, happy scrapping!

I am...

Okay, you are probably sick of hearing about how freaking awesome our 'Create by the Lake' retreat was, but here just one more layout celebrating all the beautiful, creative souls we got to share our time with!

I am inspired by these weird, fierce, amazing, flawsome, incredible women!

I do believe the boss lady has sent out re-rego forms to those at retreat, and will send out invites to the general public after that. GET IN QUICK! Start saving and planning babysitters and activities to keep the husbands busy now and dont miss out on this fantastic retreat in 2018!

I've used one of the 12x12 papers from the retreat exclusive set to be my base of this layout. Add to that some black gesso and Flutter Colour Paint splattered onto it, and you have a easy peasy mixed media background.

I've used a combination of 'FLAWSOME' - FILLER CARDS' to matt our group photo, and inked the edges with black Stazon for some definition.

For my super big journaling title, I've used the die cuts title from the 'FLAWSOME' Die Cut Bits & Bobs, the heart from the  'CREATIVE CHAOS' Everyday Etc Cards, and some Dymo labelling.

And dont forget, every layout need a coordinating flare to set it off! I've used the "your vibe attracts your vibe' flare NO.415

Happy Crafting!

Love and Light

Butterflies, with Ros Madley

This week I had another play with the latest Flutterby Designs release, Flawsome.

I've teamed it with a photo of myself and a lady who for me has always been super inspiring, Louise Nelson.  It was a real fan girl moment the first time I met her.

The base of my page has been gelli printed and a stamped a couple of times.  The photo cluster was super easy.  I have cut some of the Filler Cards into stripes and just layered them in the centre of the layout.

The photo has been matted onto a Everyday Etc card and another of these has been cut to add the tab at the bottom of this.
I've then finished off the cluster with a few Flutterby Enamel Dots.  Over the edge I'v put an awesome Bits & Bobs Die Cuts.

The cluster down the bottom is some more enamel dots and another cut out Everyday Etc Card.  I have added a wood veneer and some Tiny Sticky Quotes.

Hope you've been inspired.

Stand Out & Just Be | Belinda Spencer

Hello!!

Belinda here today to share two layouts I have created using the fabulous Flawsome collection.

'Stand Out'

For this layout, I wanted to create a rainbow on my background. I began by swiping some Golden Light Molding paste over the brilliant 'Flawsome' stencil. I LOVE this stencil so much and it worked perfectly with the photo of my darling girl. Once the texture paste was dry, I spritzed my page with water, diluted a rainbow of Flutter Colour Paints and added the colour with a soft wet paintbrush. Yep. It's my go to technique. I don't mind using this technique over and over especially when the result is so pretty.

I love this photo of my daughter taken a few years ago now. Such a sassy little thing. The quote "Stand out like a strawberry in a bowl of peas' was just so right for the pic!

I layered a whole bunch of Everyday Etc Filler Photo Cards behind my photo.

I finished by adding a heap of positive words in wood veneer as well as die cuts and cut from the photo cards. Some love hearts from the Bits & Bobs die cuts added another sweet touch.

Next up is a layout featuring a selfie of me. Eek!!

'Just Be'

I have used my very favourite stencil on this one...'Knuckleheads'. I LOVE those skulls!!

This time I used some Charcoal Kaisermist over the texture paste skulls. Then I diluted some of the Grape Soda and Arctic White Flutter Colour paints and flicked the colour over the top.

I cut and pasted lots of quotes from the Flawsome range and from the Sticky Quick Quotes.

I stuck pretty much to a purple, black, white and grey colour scheme using filler photo cards, a page tab and a llittle Kaisercraft glitter cardstock.

I hope you have been inspired by my layouts today. Make sure you head over HERE to check out the latest NEW goodies to be added to the store.

Cheers
Belinda
