Dudettes ll Chrissi Mannix

Hello Lovelies,
Chrissi here today with another layout using the Rad Retro Collection.
I decided to use a photo from a retreat back in November. I worked on my background alot for this layout. To he point where I think I over did it. In the end, I used a brayer and some paint to tone down/cover what I had done. This made it much more usable to me lol.
I used my Flutter Colour Paint, My favorite Art Foamies, the new Spot On Stencil, a fan brush and of course my brayer to put together my background.

Using the Bits and Bobs, and Flutterby Neon Enamel Dots I embellished my photo, that I had layered with Every Day Etc Filler cards, and made my title.

Well that's it for my last post for 2019. I'll be back in the new year though, with a Project Life Layout featuring the most perfect photos for this fabulous collection.

80s Party | Allara Bamforth

Merry Xmas Eve!!!

I hope you are all ready for the big man tomorrow and you enjoy your time with family and friends or what ever you choose to do over the holiday period. I have 9 days off work, so I am hoping to relax at least a little bit.

Once again the 80s are back and I have a fun 80s photo, this time with a cardboard cut out of the man himself at the 80s themed party on the cruise.

On my background from the 'Rad Retro' Collection I've used the Rad Retro Stencil with some clear gel medium. Once this is dry I've taken my distress oxide inks and water coloured over the top with a rainbow of colours.

From the Everyday Etc Filler Cards and the 12 x 12 paper 'Neon Lights' I've matted my photo with a half circular shape. From Everyday Etc Cards, I've added a few of the quotes and some Page tabs tucked in behind them. A Die Cut Bits and Bobs is also tucked into this stack and I've added a Flair Button to the corner of my matted photo. On the background I've let some black dylusion ink run over the a few areas and stamped the 'This Way' Art Foamies with some Oxide ink over the black inked areas.

And on top of this some of the photo tab quotes!

I'd like take this opportunity to wish you all a very Merry Xmas and Happy New Year. I'm excited to see what the new year brings.

Back To The 80s | Rachel Dutko

Hi everyone!

Today I have another layout to share using the 'Rad Retro' collection.

It was perfect timing that my son's end-of-year school concert
had an 80s theme this year.
I can still hear the music to "I'm Still Standing" in these photos!!

I used the 'Warm Hug' paper from the Parent Of The Year 12x12 paper pack as my base.
I then added some of the 'Expo 88' paper from the Rad Retro 12x12 paper pack.

I fussy cut the 'Back to the 80s' from an Everyday Etc card to use as my title.
I added a layer of cardboard to bring the words up out of the dotty layer.

I also fussy cut the 'Totally Awesome 80s' record
and again backed it with some cardboard to add some dimension.

I added a couple of flair buttons, some snippet strips, as well as some Die Cut Bits & Bobs.

Thanks for looking

Just Wanna Have Fun ll Chrissi Mannix

Hello Lovelies,
Chrissi back today with another layout with the new Rad Retro Collection.
I enjoyed playing around to create my background. I used some Flutter Colour Paint, the New Spot On stencil, and my fave Art Foamies to build up my background.
I matted my photo using the Every Day Etc Cards. I went for contrasting colours, after using all that pink in the background.
Before adding my photo, I wanted my background to pop more- I felt it was all blending together. So I added another contrasting colour of Flutter Colour Paint. I really like what this added to the layout.
For my title, this time I used pieces from the die cut Bits and Bobs set, and I couldn't help adding those awesome lips.
I hope you have enjoyed seeing what I have been creating with the Rad Retro Collection- come back soon to see what else we create.

Livin on a Prayer | Allara Bamforth

Happy Sunday!

I'm excited to be on the blog this morning with the new 'Rad Retro' collection. As soon as I saw this collection I knew I would have to scrap a fabulous photo of my favourite 80s rocker - Jon Bon Jovi, who is still going strong and who I was lucky enough to meet in August! OMG!!

I've started off with black cardstock for this layout and cut into sections one of the 12 x 12 papers 'Pretty in Pink'. Once I stuck down my papers, I've splattered across the background some of the Flutter Colour Paint from the Bright's Set and stamped the Fill It In Art Foamies in Oxide Ink randomly as well.

The photo was then matted in the Rad Retro Filler Cards and I've added various cut outs from the Everday Etc Cards, including the 'Awesome' title under the photo. The fabulous cassette that has 'Livin on a Prayer' conveniently on it was cut from one of the 12 x 12 Paper 'What's Going On'!!. A Rad Retro Flair Button has been added to the bottom right of the photo and a Photo Tab to the top right.

This collection is so fun and colourful. I have so many great pics to go with it and I can't wait to share some more in my next post.

Till then,

Girls Just Wanna Have Fun ll Chrissi Mannix

Hello Lovelies
Chrissi again today with another layout using the new Rad Retro Collection.
This was a picture of me on my way to The Flutterby Create by The Lake 2019 Retreat. Had to stop off and get something for woine rime.
This is a really quick and simple layout, alot different to my usual. Using some Flutter Colour Paint as my base.

But I loved the Girls just Wanna have fun every day etc card so much, I wanted it to be the main focus of the page. So no real embellishing on here. I kept it very simple.

Don't forget, the new collection is available on the website to purchase now.

Happy Scrapping

RAD ll Chrissi Mannix

Hello Lovelies
With the launch of the new Rad Retro Collection, I have a new project to show you.
This layout would have to be one of my absolute favourites I've ever made.
I used one of the Every Day Etc Cards as my colour inspiration for this layout. I started with some Flutter Colour paint for my background to match the card. Then using the new This Way Art Foamies, I used black paint to add to my background.

I was in love with this background from the beginning lol. Then I went through the Every Day Etc Filler cards to find some layers for my photo.

As I love to do often, I have used one of the Every Day Etc Cards for my title. In this case I fussy cut the RAD out and used it for my title.
I decided I wanted to add more to my title, so I used some alphabet stamps to complete my title.
With my layout and background as busy as it was, I didn't embellish this layout much, but I'm really happy with how it comes together.
Dont forget to come check out what the rest of the DT do with this fabulous new collection.
Rad Retro is available to purchase from the website.

Happy Scrapping Lovelies

Organised Chaos | Allara Bamforth

Morning! Happy Friday,

I'm up on the blog today with an Art Journal Page using fabulous Flutterby Design Goodies!

When ever I'm creating layouts for the blog, I usually throw any left over paint or use up the paint on my brayer in my Art Journal. This is how this double page came to life!

The background has been started in this way, using the Flutter colour paint. I've either brayered it on or flicked and smudged it over the spread. I've then used some of the Art Foamie stamps to create some extra background interest, then mixed my paint with some clear Gel Medium and used a variety of stencils to layer it up further.

I love all the quirky sayings and quotes on the Everyday Etc Cards, so using them for your Art Journal pages is a really great idea. As well as cutting out shapes from the Filler Cards.

Art Journal pages are a great way to practice different ideas for your mixed media layouts. Once you have a collection of Flutterby Design stencils, paints and stamps, creating some Art Journal pages is a great way to use your supply.

Thanks for taking a peek.

Till next post,

Create | Rachel Dutko

Hi everyone!

While we are eagerly awaiting the new release this Friday,
I am digging into my stash and have created
this layout using the 'Creative Chaos' range.

I have created my background by scraping some Flutter Colour paint
onto a piece of Kaisercraft pattern paper with a palette knife.

I fussy cut the 'create' word from an Everyday Etc card.
I also fussy cut the scissors for another embellishment.

I used some Everyday Etc cards to back a cut file from Cut To You.
I also layered some Everyday Etc cards under my photo.

I added a flair, a page tab and some enamel dots.
I also added a star from Charm's Creations.

Don't forget to set your alarms for the new release 'RAD RETRO'
this Friday (22nd November) at 8pm AEDST.

Stay Weird ll Chrissi Mannix

Hello Lovelies,
Today I have a page in my brain dump journal for you. This journal is my go between. Its a mix of journalling, art journalling and memory keeping photos. Rightly called my brain dump, as i use it to unload alot of whats going on in my head, as well as adding photos that I love.
I adore this page so much. This was a fun photo taken at a wedding I went to back in August.
I decided to fussy cut the photo to make it more the focus of the page. I've seen Anita do this in her projects and I love the look it gives.
I've used some of my fave Flutterby items in this page. Of course my flutter colour paint to start my background. Then I added my art foamies- we know how much I LOVE using the Flutterby Designs Art Foamies. But my favorite part of this page, is my giant title- I was so happy it fit.
I created this with the fabulous Large Alpha Stencil Set. I traced inside the stencil then filled it in with paint. This is an awesome way to make your own, big titles.
I hope you like my page. Dont forget to come back and check out what the other girls are up to later in the week.
