The Tan will Fade, But Memories Last- Chrissi M

Hello Lovelies,
Today I'm sharing with you a layout I made whilst playing with the new Flutterby Designs Custom Designed Art Foamie Stamps. OMG sooooo much fun. I adored playing with these new tools, and I can not wait to get out my Gel Plate and have a play-which I think will be my very next project-so stay tuned for that one.

So here is my project. This is a picture I had of Will, the last time we went to the rock pools. It was a great trip, and also the first time he and his dad, jumped off the rocks. Lots of memories.
The Good Vibes Only Collection was perfect fort his.
I started by applying paint with a silicon 'brush' to my background, then I literally threw some white paint over the green for texture. I love playing with paint.
Then I wanted to play with the new Art Foamies. I used the Round Random set. I applied white paint with a brayer to the stamp, so i would get an even and light cover of paint and a nice transfer. I applied the stamp to my background, even including the white areas, to give a tone on tone look. I didn't want to bring in another colour.
Then using the Good Vibes Only Every Day Etc Cards, I had fun making a cluster of layers behind my photo for visual interest. I kept my embellishing simple with the matching flair badges from the Good Vibes Only collection.
I do have a video to go along with this page, so head over to the Flutterby Inspiration HQ Facebook page later today for the link.
Thanks for stopping

You Make my Heart Sing- Chrissi M

Hello Lovelies!!
Today I'm following suite and working with some older collections before I crack into the new

This is a layout using a small photo, and some cards from the We Run the World Collection. I love using the Everday Etc cards as layering pieces and cutting them up to use as embellishments- as I've done for my title. I knew this collection would be perfect for this layout. As my photo was so light and washed out, I wanted to bring in some of those rich green tones to balance it out.
Isn't my teeny tiny brayer the cutest? It was perfect to build up my background . I used a mixture of paint and scribble sticks in Night, Ocean and Turquoise. Using my stamp block as a palette, I applied my colour in layers to build up an area behind my photo.
Coming in with some grey scribble stick, I applied it to my stamp- one of my favorite stamping techniques, and added more texture to my background.
The photo is a 2x3 print from my HP Sprocket. My sister had sent this pic of her and my son at the beach. It was so cute i decided to scrap it that very day. As I said, it was very washed out, i loved the effect, and thought it would look great with the rich colours in the We run the World Every day Etc cards. I layered up the cards to make a mat behind my photo and for my title.
To add some details and embellishments to my layout, I used some Page Tabs and for my title I used some Snippet Strips. They are such great value, and have some really cool phrases and sayings. I love this layout, and liked using the different sized photo. Thanks for stoping by, and ill be back later in the month with a new project.

Crazy with my Wifey- Chrissi mannix

Hi Lovelies
Welcome to my first blog post for Flutterby Designs! I'm so excited to be joining the team this year. I absolutely adore the Flutterby style and flair and couldn't wait to share my first project with you all.
This is a picture of my best friend and I, my Wifey causing mischief as we do, this time at Movieworld. I had the bright idea to use the purples and blacks from the Xtreme Teen Collection.
I had this collection out, as I was using it for a project life spread (stay tuned for my next post), and thought it would work great for this picture.
I knew I wanted to use this awesome Flutterby star stencil with some texture paste, and have a block of colour to it. I decided on grey, so I could then add a pop of a bright colour.

I used the Xtreme Teen Every Day Etc cards to layer behind my picture, and to add the colours to my layout- This is where i pull the purple from.

I love making mixed media backgrounds, and throwing paint is one of my favorite things to do. I used some very fluid paint to get my splatters and paint drips. Be warned, it IS a messy process, but oh so much fun lol. Just cover up anything you don't want splattered-like your phone lol.
I love the quotes and phrases in the Every Day Etc cards, and how they can be cut up and used as embellishments and design elements. I love this troublemaker, misfit one. It was just too perfect for this layout. I also used a few tabs from the Sentence Enhancer's Collection to add to my photo layers.

Then I just added my title, using 2 different alpha sets, and a few puffy stars and enamel dots, and I was done. I do love how this turned out, and I hope you liked my first project as part of the 2019 Flutterby DT. I cant wait to share more projects with you.
Untill next time lovelies.
