Dudettes ll Chrissi Mannix

Hello Lovelies,
Chrissi here today with another layout using the Rad Retro Collection.
I decided to use a photo from a retreat back in November. I worked on my background alot for this layout. To he point where I think I over did it. In the end, I used a brayer and some paint to tone down/cover what I had done. This made it much more usable to me lol.
I used my Flutter Colour Paint, My favorite Art Foamies, the new Spot On Stencil, a fan brush and of course my brayer to put together my background.

Using the Bits and Bobs, and Flutterby Neon Enamel Dots I embellished my photo, that I had layered with Every Day Etc Filler cards, and made my title.

Well that's it for my last post for 2019. I'll be back in the new year though, with a Project Life Layout featuring the most perfect photos for this fabulous collection.

Livin on a Prayer | Allara Bamforth

Happy Sunday!

I'm excited to be on the blog this morning with the new 'Rad Retro' collection. As soon as I saw this collection I knew I would have to scrap a fabulous photo of my favourite 80s rocker - Jon Bon Jovi, who is still going strong and who I was lucky enough to meet in August! OMG!!

I've started off with black cardstock for this layout and cut into sections one of the 12 x 12 papers 'Pretty in Pink'. Once I stuck down my papers, I've splattered across the background some of the Flutter Colour Paint from the Bright's Set and stamped the Fill It In Art Foamies in Oxide Ink randomly as well.

The photo was then matted in the Rad Retro Filler Cards and I've added various cut outs from the Everday Etc Cards, including the 'Awesome' title under the photo. The fabulous cassette that has 'Livin on a Prayer' conveniently on it was cut from one of the 12 x 12 Paper 'What's Going On'!!. A Rad Retro Flair Button has been added to the bottom right of the photo and a Photo Tab to the top right.

This collection is so fun and colourful. I have so many great pics to go with it and I can't wait to share some more in my next post.

Till then,

Ready? ll Chrissi Mannix

Hello  Lovelies.
Chrissi here today with a mixed media layout I made using the fabulous new This Way Art Foamies.
We know how much I love playing with mixed media, and the Art Foamies, are my favorite tools at the moment to play with. Using a pattern paper from the new Parent of the Year Collection, and some flutter colour paint, I made my background. I wanted to block out a section of this busy pattern paper  to focus my image on. I love how the paper compliments my photo, but the black gesso mat of  gives it some contrast to make the photo really pop.
Thanks for stopping by, and make sure to come back and see what the rest of the DT are up to.

Do Not Fear Chidbirth | Allara Bamforth

Good Morning Friends,

Allara here on the blog again today with the 'Parent of the Year' collection. For this layout today, I found a photo of myself at 38 weeks pregnant with my third and the look on my face says it all! When I saw the Everyday Etc Card 'Do not Fear Childbirth, That's the Easy Part - There is no epidural for Motherhood' I knew it was the perfect saying to put with this photo. Having two children who were 3 and 18 months with another one due any day - I'm sure I was mad and knew what I was in for!!

For this layout I've taken the 12 x 12 paper 'Spilled Sav' and ripped it 3/4 of the way down and then the 1/4 piece into three more strips. With some distress oxide ink that matched my photo mats I've carefully edged the paper. To the background I've used the Art Foamies 'Edgies' stamped with some Tropicana Teal Flutter Colour - Small Set paint randomly over the background where I was going to place my photo. Then using the Art Foamies - Round Randoms I've stamped with distress oxide ink to the top right and bottom left of my photo and over the ripped layers. To this I've stamped in Black archival some randome script and splattered around some Artic White Paint.

I've used the quote from the Everyday Etc Cards and layered with Everday Etc Filler Cards.  To the bottom left of the quote I've added one of the Flair Buttons. I mounted the layout on a background piece of black cardstock and this helped to tie in the black from the quote. I splattered on some left over paint across the exposed bit of black.

Thanks for taking a peek today, as always all products used are linked back to the shop. This is such a fun collection.

'The Talk' | Allara Bamforth

Happy Friday Friends!

Especially Happy Friday for me, as I am jetting off  today overseas on a 2 week adventure without the husband or children. And I'm sure I'll make 'Parent of the Year' posting this funny photo and meme of my eldest daughter before I head out of the country, (and I won't be able hear about it!)

Lucky for me Flutterby Designs new collection is 'Parent of the Year', I think I'm winning at this right now.

So I've taken my white cardstock and used Flutter Colour Paint - Small Set in Raspberry Punch and Orange Goldfish to create a circular smudge as the base. Over the top of this I've used the fabulous new 'This Way' Art Foamies with black archival ink and some distress oxide ink to create a focal point for my photo. Using the 'Bright like a Diamond' stencil, I've added some more interest around the photo.

My photo is matted in Everyday Etc Filler cards from the Parent of the Year collection and the little quote is cut from the Everyday Etc Cards. To this I've added a Flair button and found a Sticky Quote to add to the side.

I felt like I need to bring some blue into the picture to blend in with the photo and I found some ink sprays that I haven't used for a while and splattered those randomly across the picture.

Thanks for taking a peek at my post.

Loved Crazy | Allara Bamforth

Hello there!

I'm back on the blog today with another layout featuring the 'Art Foamie' Stamps as my background.

On my black cardstock I have used the 'Fill It In' Trio and stamped the crosses and tyre tracks in Artic white paint haphazardly over the right side. Once dry, I've sponged some Aquamarine Dream over the top through the Knucklehead stncil. Mixing some of the left over paint with water, I've splattered this around where I planned to put my photo.

Next I've stamped the noughts and crosses art foamie with Perfect Medium in random spots and over the this I've used gold Perfect Pearls for a reallly cool shimmer. Once dry I've taken the Sunshine Yellow paint and swirled it around where I planned to place the photo.

For matting my photo I've used various Everyday Etc Filler Cards, Everyday Etc cards and Flair Button from the Flawsome range. The crazy sticker was taken from the We Are Family range and the Sticky Qutoes from the 'Magical AF' Range.

I love how this page ended up coming together! As usual I don't really have a plan I start a back ground then go through my stash and phtoos and start pulling matching bits together. I love how you can do this with the entire Flutterby Range.

Thanks for taking a peek!

Stay Fierce | Allara Bamforth

Happy Sunday!

The background for today's layout has been created with the fabulous Flutter Colour Paints and the Flutterby Desgins Art Foamies. Down the right side of the page I've used Grape Soda, Tropicana Teal and Green Limousine, blending them together with my brayer. Using the 'Fill It In' Foamies I have stamped them into the wet paint and the restamped to the side, so that they have lots of lovely colour variation from the three colours I have used. I then stamp a couple in back ink for contrast.

Once this is dry and using the 'Migraine Madness Stencil' I sponge some of the circles with Orange Goldfish paint. I splatter some Grape Soda and Artic White over the top and draw around the circles with pink, blue and white paint pens.

The photo and titles are mounted with Everyday Etc Filler cards from the Flawsome Range and the titles are also cut from Flawsome Everyday Etc Cards.

To finish off I have added a Flair Button from the Flawsome range and a few small silver sequins. It was a fairly quick page to put together but it is amazing how quick you can create clever background with paint and stamps and co-ordinate with the fabulous ranges that Flutterby Designs have.

Thanks for taking a peek!

Sweet Amazing You | Tamara Buckler

Hey Hey Scrappy Peeps,

I'm up on the blog today for my first share for July. I pulled this layout together using some 12x12 paper from the 'We Are' paper pack. I wanted to play with the reds and oranges in the paper as these colours worked with some Autumn photos of my daughter.

I started by tearing the paper down to be approximately 9x12, and then applied some gesso behind my focus area. I added some texture paste through the 'All you need is love' Stencil, and once this was dry I used the packaging technique to add some watered down FlutterColour paint. I then used a Sharpie highlight some of the text in the modelling paste, and added some paint and ink splatters around the place.

I used a CUTtoYOU Cut File to frame my photos, and added a Everyday Etc Card from the 'Happy Together' set to the centre frame. I popped this all up on foam tape, and adhered it over the top of the mixed media.

To create my title, I have coloured some Die Cuts with a black Posca Pen, so that they fitted with my colour scheme, and added some white sticky alphas.

To finish off my page, I have added a page tab, a bright tab and a word label from the photo cut outs. I also added some white chalk pen splatters over the top of the page as a final touch.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Big Loves,
Tam xo

Happy + Strong | Tamara Buckler

Hey Hey Flutterby Friends!!

I’m up today sharing a new 9x12 layout featuring the awesome new Art Foamie Stamps! I seriously love these!! I’ve used the ‘Fill It In’ set of stamps to add both texture and definition to my mixed media background.

I started this page by cutting down a piece of 12x12 of patterned paper from the ‘We Run The World’ collection. I applied some white gesso to create a rough rectangle around the centre of the page, and then applied the art foamies around the edges using black acrylic paint. I also ran some messy stitching around the edge of this rectangle.

I coloured some texture paste and ran this through an old Flutterby Stencil. I really like how this pop of colour connects the foreground with the background. I mounted my photo using some Everyday Etc Cards from the ‘We Run The World’ collection, and the quote next to the photo has also come from one of these cards.

I created my title using Die Cuts Bits and Bobs, and tucked in some page tabs and a flair button around my photo.

To finish off the page, I added some black and pink Flutter Colour splatters, and that was it!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Big Loves,
Tam xo

The Tan will Fade, But Memories Last- Chrissi M

Hello Lovelies,
Today I'm sharing with you a layout I made whilst playing with the new Flutterby Designs Custom Designed Art Foamie Stamps. OMG sooooo much fun. I adored playing with these new tools, and I can not wait to get out my Gel Plate and have a play-which I think will be my very next project-so stay tuned for that one.

So here is my project. This is a picture I had of Will, the last time we went to the rock pools. It was a great trip, and also the first time he and his dad, jumped off the rocks. Lots of memories.
The Good Vibes Only Collection was perfect fort his.
I started by applying paint with a silicon 'brush' to my background, then I literally threw some white paint over the green for texture. I love playing with paint.
Then I wanted to play with the new Art Foamies. I used the Round Random set. I applied white paint with a brayer to the stamp, so i would get an even and light cover of paint and a nice transfer. I applied the stamp to my background, even including the white areas, to give a tone on tone look. I didn't want to bring in another colour.
Then using the Good Vibes Only Every Day Etc Cards, I had fun making a cluster of layers behind my photo for visual interest. I kept my embellishing simple with the matching flair badges from the Good Vibes Only collection.
I do have a video to go along with this page, so head over to the Flutterby Inspiration HQ Facebook page later today for the link.
Thanks for stopping

Sparkle & Shine & Always be kind | Tamara Buckler

Hello my wonderful scrappy friends,

I'm so excited to share my latest layout with you featuring the FABULOUS Magical AF collection! I think I've said it before, but I swear Anita created this layout just for me!

This week I've used the amazing 12x12 'Fabulous' paper from the Paper Pack. I trimmed about a centimetre from each side, and adhered it to a piece of white cardstock, adding some messy machine stitching around the edge, and ruffling up the paper.

I added some white gesso to the centre of my page to give a bit of separation for my photo and embellishments from the background. I also added some texture paste through a 'I Heart You' stencil. While this dried, I backed the body of the Unicorn Cut File included in the Kit with the 'Secret Garden' 12x12 paper and then backed the mane with a paper from the Everyday Etc Filler Cards

I matted my photo on some white cardstock, and then layered up some Everyday Etc Cards and foam tape behind this to matt the photo and add dimension. I used three elements from the Die Cuts pack to create my title, starting with 'sparkle' and 'shine' above my photo. Behind this I tucked a rainbow from the sticker sheets, as well as a gem and puffy glitter heart.

The Unicorn Cut File nestled perfectly around the bottom right corner of my photo cluster, and I was then able to tuck lots of extra bits around it. I completed my title by adding the 'Always be kind' Die Cut to the bottom left, and another puffy glitter heart.

I tucked another rainbow behind the unicorn, as well as little cloud from the sticker sheet. I also added a Flair Button, a gem and another puffy glitter heart.

To finish the page off I added some Gold Splatters across the page and over my photo.

Thanks for stopping by today and checking out my page. Make sure you jump over to the shop and pick up one of the Magical AF kits, I hear there are a few left, and they are such amazing value for money!!

Tam xo

Make your life Magical AF | Tamara Buckler

Hey Hey Scrappy Friends,

I'm back today sharing another fun layout using the new Magical AF collection. This time I decided to use cut he 'Mysterious' paper from the 12x12 Paper Pack as my focus, and cut it out on my Silhouette using a Cut File from CUT to YOU.

I love how this Cut File allows this paper to be the hero of this page, and almost by taking away sections of the paper, it allows the intricacy and detail of the paper stand out even more. I popped each circle up on double sided tape to emphasise this, and added some whites splatters to  connect the background to the foreground.

At this point, I didn't want to do too much more to the page, so I just worked on adding my title and my photo cluster. I used the gorgeous 'magical' metallic acrylic as the main element here, and used a die cut and the 'AF' cut from an Everyday Etc Card to complete the title.  I also added in Charm's Creations heart and a Flair Button to balance this out.

I layered up a heap of Everyday Etc Filler Cards behind my photo, using foam tape between some of the layers. I also tucked a couple of page tabs in at the top of my photo.

To finish things off  I added some Puffy Heart Stickers and another Flair Button to the front of my pic, and some metallic ink splatters over the photo and the page.

Thanks for stopping by to check out my page. Make sure you're sharing your creations using the Magical AF collection over in our FB group.

Until next time,
Big Loves,
Tam xo

She Leaves a Little Sparkle- Chrissi Mannix

Hi Lovelies!!
I have a cute girlie layout featuring the new Magical AF collection today.

This collection is just perfect for those little girls in your life. This is my gorgeous niece, just so perfect for these awesome quotes and embellishments.

When I first saw this collection, my first thought was, I wanted to do something pink and sparkly lol.
But I wanted some interest in the background. So I grabbed an older Flutterby Stencil, ans using Gel Medium, used it to create a resist in my backround. When dry, the Gel Medium, resists the colour you apply over the top. In this case, I used a shimmer colour spray in hot pink with the packing technique. Once its dry, just buff away the colour on the gel medium, and boom, instant resist.
I've said it before, I adore the Every Day Etc cards, and how they can be cut up and used as titles and embellishments. This one was just too perfect. Adding some of the gorgeous little sparkly hearts to embellish and it all came together nicely. I felt that it looked a little bare in a few places, so I decided to cut out some of the gorgeous gems from the Magical AF Paper collection and use them to embellish my layout aswell.
So that's it from me and my first play with the new Magical AF Collection. Head to the store if you want to get your hands on this collection, but be quick, I cant imagine it will last long.
