One Woman | Adele Toomey

Hello lovelies!

Today I am diving head first into my Flutterby stash and the collection I am ALWAYS drawn to immediately is the gorgeous "We Run The World" collection.

I am playing in my junk journal today and dabbling in a bit of "scrap journaling" as I like to call it. I knew I had to use this photo of some of my scrappy besties and I (including a very familiar Flutterby face hehe!!) when we went to Heidi Swapp's classes earlier this year. Heidi's story really spoke to me and I felt she really empowered the women in the room while she told of her reason for why she documents.

I used the rad "Cool As a Cucumber" stencil to create a background for the left hand side of my spread. I then layered a doiley from my stash and one of the fun cut-apart sections from the 12x12" paper.

On the opposite side, I used several pieces from the Everyday Etc Cards to layer behind my pic. I also added several tiny word stickers from the sticky quotes sticker sheets.

I really enjoyed layering all these pieces on my spread today, it's so fun to flick through my journal and feel the tactile nature of the page. I hope you have a lovely day and HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

This is Me | Allara Bamforth

Good Morning,

Hope you are having a great weekend! I'm up on the blog today featuring one of Flutterby Designs new stencils "This is Me"

On my background piece I've used some transparent gel medium through the stencil as I wanted to add some inks over the top when dry. I wasn't looking for a real crisp look for the words but rather soemthing faded. I did however want to highlight the This is Me title and after it dried, I traced around it with a black marker.

I created a blended water colour effect across the background using my distress oxide inks with colours Wilted Violet, Peacock Feathers and Picked Raspberry. And using some of the left over to make some splatters and my Flutter Colur Artic White paint as well.

Next I traced a large cirle on the background with some markers and used a black distress crayon so I could make it watercolour as well.  For the random circles across the page, I've cut these from the We Run the World Collection  12 x 12 "Bev' paper.

To mount my photo I've used the We Run the World Everyday Etc Filler Cards, creating a stack and also creating some wings.

The circle behind my daughters head is an offcut from the 'Mrs Smith' from the same collection.  I thin added som Page Tabs and a title from the We Run the World Everyday Etc Cards.

Last but not least I've added some of the Bold - Enamel dots to finish off the page.

Thanks for checking the blog out again this week. Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Till next post,

I Heart You | Rachel Dutko

Hi everyone
It's Rachel back with you today.
I have a bright layout to share with you.

I created my background using a monoprint from my gel plate.

I have created some layers under my photo using some 'Happily Ever After'
Everyday Etc cards, as well as some layers of cardboard for some dimension.

For my title I used a 'I Heart You' custom cut file from CUT TO YOU, from Created By Gwen.
I backed this file with some 'Happily Ever After ' Every day Etc filler cards.
I have also used two CUT TO YOU 'Intersecting Hearts Row' custom cut files under my layers.

I have added some page tabs and a flair.

I have also added some stars from Charm's Creations.

To finish my page I splattered some Colour Blast Artist Ink and Colour Spray,
as well as adding some neon enamel dots.

Thanks for looking

Shine Bright Beautiful | Tamara Buckler

Hello Flutterby peeps,

I'm so happy to be back with you to share my latest layout featuring lots of messy mixed media and a heap of Flutterby goodies.

The colours for this layout were inspired by the outfit my daughter is wearing - I really wanted to pull out the mustard and pink.

I also felt that I wanted to have a contrast for these two main colours, so added in some Grey Texture Paste. I did this by mixing Black Mayhem Flutter Colour Paint to my Texture Paste, which I then ran through the 'Words of Wisdom 2,0' stencil (on clearance in the shop, btw!) Once this was dry, I watered down some Orange Goldfish and Raspberry Punch Flutter Colour Paint, and used the packaging technique to apply this to my page. I also added grey splatters by mixing Black Mayhem and Arctic White with some water, and flicking it on the page with my brush.

I used tissue paper, cardboard, and plasterers tape in between and behind various layers of Everyday Etc Cards -  a lot of these were from the 'We Run the World' collection.  I also added to these layers one of the piece from the 'Hello' fussy cuts set.

To create my title I fussy cut "Shine Bright" from the 'Wild Bohemian' Everyday Etc Photo Cards, and then added "beautiful" from the 'Flawsome' wood veneers, which I painted white.

I am in love with all this texture and dimension!!

To balance off my title, I added another piece that I fussy cut from the 'Wild Bohemian' Everyday Etc Photo Card, which I tucked in with a Charms Creations Heart and a Flair Button that has been in my stash forever!

To complete the page, I added in some Snippet Strips from the Monochrome Set, which I anchored to the page with some pieces that I cut from the centre of the Fussy Cut piece (I've tucked this in a few other places too). I also added in a Wood Veneer heart which I painted with the a coat of Arctic White then a coat of Orange Goldfish Flutter Colour Paint - this just makes the colour more punchy on top of the wood veneer.

I'm super happy with how this page turned out! Thanks so much for stopping by!

Big Loves,
Tam xo

Stay Wild | Belinda Spencer

Hello Flutterby peeps!

Belinda here today to share another layout for October featuring a lovely mix of past products.

NOTE: This layout contains sentence enhancers. Look away if you are offended by swear words

'Stay Wild'

I decided to stick to a pink and orange yellow colour combination for this layout so I started by applying some Raspberry Punch and Arctic White Flutter Colour Paint to my background cardstock using a palette knife. Once that was dry I mixed some Orange Goldfish paint with texture paste and applied over the Shake Your Tail Feather Stencil. I diluted a little of the Raspberry Punch and Orange Goldfish paints with water and splattered them over the background too. I left to dry for a while before I got too impatient and finished off with the heat gun.

I mixed and matched filler cards from different collections but mostly from the Wild Bohemian range. This is one of my all-time favourite Flutterby ranges and the good news is you can still find some available in the store AND it is on sale!! The 'wild' kind of suits the photo of my darling daughter when she was much, much younger and the queen of tanties! (She was actually putting it on for the camera in this shot. She wasn't quite that feral for real thank goodness!)

I love tucking in a fresh white fussy cut to break up all of the colour from the various filler cards too.

I added a mix of quotes from a couple of Snippet Strips as well as some Page Tabs which are one of my favourite Flutterby embellishments.

I cut the 'wild' word for the title from a Wild Bohemian Photo Card and added some Thickers from my stash to finish.

Finally I added a sprinkling of Confetti Circles and Enamel Dots as well as a flair button.

I hope you are having a lovely scrappy Sunday using your own Flutterby stash.

Thanks for stopping by.

Cheers
Belinda

Boring Together | Allara Bamforth

Happy Thursday!

I'm back on the blog today with a layout that turned out more an like an art journal piece using the fabulous 'Happily Ever After Collection'. I rarely plan anything I do, I kinda just go with it and see what happens, sometimes it works and sometimes its blah but you can never go wrong with bright colours I say.

I love just slapping paint on the backgrouds and making them my own. So with this piece I've added Flutter Colour Paint in a cascading rainbow effect and used my brayer to smoosh them across the page.

Using the I Heart You Stencil and the Half tone stencil, I have added some detail on the background with the paint and used my posca pens to add a few bits and bobs.

Using the Everyday Etc Filler Cards and some quotes from Everyday Etc Cards from the Happily Ever After Collection, I've matted up the gorgeous Tim Holtz paper dolls and added the 'Let's Be Boring together' title. To this I've added some stickers from the Happily Ever After Sticky Quotes and i've embossed a wood veneer from Happily Ever After Wood Veneer Bits.

Well that's it from me. Thanks for taking a peek.

Till next post,

Teenager or Toddler? - PL with Adele

Hi everyone!

Although there are no teenagers in my household, I was excited when I recently found the Xtreme Teen collection at the Flutterby Create By The Lake Retreat. Archer certainly has the attitude of a teenager at times, so I thought I had better pick up some bits and pieces from the collection!

Today I have used the Everyday Etc cards and Sticky Quotes to document a page in my Project Life. I love combining some of the Flutterby labels in my PL pages to add snippets of journaling to my pages too.

I think this card from the Everyday Etc Xtreme Teen pack is very suitable for the current cheekiness that this little guy was showing this week!

I think that it is very handy to also have some basic Flutterby goodies, such as alphas, labels and the tiny sticky quotes (tiny word stickers) to add information and subtitles to my PL.

I challenge you to use one of the "themed" collections outside the box for a completely different topic on your next scrapbook page!

Have a rad week,
Adele

Peace Love Pineapples | Sue Plumb

Hi everyone!
I am here today to share my latest design team project created for Flutterby Designs - a mixed media layout featuring the 'Good Vibes Only' collection and Flutter Colour paints. I documented a photo of myself, my hubby and a couple of our mates that was taken at a local event on Australia Day. (In case you are wondering how the pineapples are relevant, the event featured a pineapple throwing competition.)

To go along with the theme of Australia Day, I chose a green and gold colour scheme. I used Flutter Colour paints to paint my background - first using a brush, then a brayer, and finally my fingers to add some highlights.

On top of the paint I added some Colour Blast Colour Paste using the super cute 'Be a Pineapple' stencil. I then dropped some green Colour Blast Colour Artist Ink randomly over the top before drying it off.

Next I took some of the 'Good Vibes Only' Everyday Etc cards and created a layered mat for my photo; then added some frayed gauze for texture before adding my photo on top. I tore up some small pieces of washi tape from the 'Good Vibes Only' kit and placed them around the page.

I fussy cut my peace love pineapples title piece from another of the Everyday Etc cards, overlapping the corner of photo with it, and popping some foam tape under the corner to help keep it up off the page. I then added the hello there flair button from set #286 on top.

I added some stickers from the 'Good Vibes Only' Sticky Quotes sheet around my photo as well as some wood veneer pieces. I also added the good vibes only wood veneer further down my page. I decided my page needed a little more black so I added a few black Tiny Sticky Quotes to the page.

To finish off, I added some enamel dots; my handwritten journalling; a few stamped phrases; and some splatters of black ink.

I am super excited to add that I actually made my FIRST EVER process video for this page. I would love for you to pop over and check it out...

Thanks for stopping by today so I could share this with you.
Until next time, happy scrapping!

I then used a Mmm Pie stencil and navy ink for some subtle detail in the background.

For my title I used the FAMILY from the Fair Dinkum Chrissy Die Cut Bits & Bobs pack
and the FUN from the Good Vibes Only Die Cut Bits & Bobs pack.

I added some page tabs, ticket, flair and sticky snippets
I also added some Charm's Creations stars.

I layered some Everyday Etc filler cards from the 'Happily Ever After'
collection under my photo.

I finished off my page with some wood veneer stars, enamel dots

Hello Adventure | Tamara Buckler

Hello Flutterby Friends,

It's great to be back with you for another share today. This page was a fun one to create. I'm a little bit obsessed with the Large Alpha Stencil, and love making titles with the letters - its just such a cool crisp font!

I had this fun selfie with my daughter at a tree climb adventure park, and I have printed it a bit larger in 5x5, and really wanted to make it my focal point.

To accentuate this focal point I drew 'Hello' on some black card stock using the Large Alpha Stencil and fussy cut it out just using some scissors. I also cut out some asterix while I was at it, and tucked them around the page.

Now that I had the 2 main elements sorted, I began to build a matt behind my photo. To do this, I pulled a heap of Everyday Etc Cards from a variety of collections, focussing on B&W papers, and anything in purple/pink. I cut them into random sizes to create texture and interest, and laid them up behind my pic. I also tucked in some frames, and some page tabs in similar colours and textures.

I added a piece from the Kraft Fussy Cuts to the top left of the photo, and tucked various pieces from the black Snippet Strips and White Sticky Quotes around the page. I also added a Flair Button to embellish the page, which I have altered, as the colour didn't suit - I'm not entirely happy with the way this worked out, but I figure that's a good excuse to order a few more!

To finish off the title I added the word 'Adventure' using the Purple Sticky Alphas, which I stuck to be a piece of white cardstock, so I could layer it over the larger title word.

And to balance out the page, and finish things off, I added a strip from an Everyday Etc Card, and another Snippet Strip with my journalling at the bottom of the page.

Thanks for stopping by today to check out my page. I do apologise for the light in some of these pics, we have had rain non stop since I created this layout and have struggled to get a good pic because of the gloominess. I'm definitely not complaining about the rain, so I figured these pics would do!

Big Loves,
Tam xo
