Five Years | We Are | Adele

Hey scrappy peeps,

I was so excited to dive into the rad new "We Are" collection this week! I love the sayings and tiny word strips included in the collection and definitely wanted to include those in today's project.

To celebrate my five year wedding anniversary today, I decided to document a pic of hubby and I in my junk journal.

I created a four page spread listing some of our biggest milestones we've achieved together to match the card from the Everyday Etc card set.

I have also created a process video for these pages which I hope you will enjoy!

Happy scrapping :)

Love Our Adventures | Allara Bamforth

Happy Hump Day,

Very excited to be back on the blog today with the new 'We are Family' collection!

For the background of this page I've used the 'Weathered Love' 12 x 12 page and cut a strip from the 'Unconditional' page from We are Family.  I have then layered a couple of the We are Family Everyday Etc Filler Cards and one of the quotes from the Every day Etc Cards. Using some of the Artic White and Raspberry Punch Flutter Colour Paint, I've used my brayer to smoosh some of it around and then randomly drip some of white around.  I mixed some of the Raspberry Punch paint with some gel medium and put this through the Confettti Cubes stencil.

To accent the page I've added a Flair Button , Die Cut Bibs and Bobs and Sticky Quotes from the We are Family range. Finished off with some Enamel dots and giant LOVE die cut.

Really love this fun new collection and if you like anything you see in the layout - click the link and it will take you over to the shop.

Till next post,

This is Love | Tamara Buckler

Hey Hey Flutterby peeps,

I'm up today sharing with you my first layout using the new 'We are' collection. I just love love love this collection! The colours are so bright and bold, and the phrases and stickers are so applicable to family life.

I started this layout by selecting the 'Messy Memories' 12x12 Paper Pack, this purple just sang to me as I was working on some photos of my girls checking out the gorgeous Jacaranda trees in Grafton recently. I smeared some gesso in a cross shape to the left of the page, and then used the 'xo' stencil to draw on the background.

I layered up lots of the Everyday Etc Cards behind my photo pulling in lots of the bright colours from the collection. I tucked in one of the frames from the 'Frame 52' cut apart sheet, because this really worked in with the amazing title piece from the Die Cut Title set.

The Die Cut title set is new in this collection, and I love how versatile the set is - you can change in the background piece and the die cut piece to create multiple title combinations. It is so easy to fussy cut the background piece, but you can leave it and just add the die cut piece over the top.

I used lots of pieces from the Die Cut Bits & Bobs pack to embellish the page, and another piece from the 'Frame 52' cut apart sheet.

One of the great things about the Flutterby products is that the collections all work in together, the flair button I have added to the page is an older design from the '403' Flair Button set, and it works pefectly!

Thanks for stopping by today to check out my page, and make sure you jump over to the shop and grab what you want from this range, because it is selling out fast!

See you next time!

Big Loves,
Tam xo

Love | Belinda Spencer

Hello Flutterby peeps!!

Belinda here today to share my first layout featuring the stunning brand new range 'We Are'.

I have chosen to work with a soft palette from the range including pinks and woodgrain for a pretty combination. There are some amazing brights in the collection too that I am looking forward to playing with for my next layout.

I started this layout by adding some subtle stencilling using the 'All You Need Is Love' Stencil and heavy white gesso to the pretty pink 'Unconditional' patterned paper. Once dry, I diluted some Raspberry Punch Flutter Colour Paint with water and flicked over the background.

Next I added the 'Confetti Circles' and 'Wheels' Wood Veneer pieces to the page. I glued the white outline onto the woodgrain 'Love' title from the 'We Are' Die Cut Title Set and then fussy cut. I attached the die cut title to the brick wall filler card from the 'We Are' Everyday Etc Cards and then layered on some small pieces cut from the Filler Cards.

Next I added the photo using 3D foam and slipped in a 'We Are' Page Tab as well as the lovely frame from the 'We Are' Die Cut Bits & Bobs.

I added a few fun embellishments on the right hand side of my photo including a 'We Are' Flair Button and a 'Word Speech Bubbles' Wood Veneer. I chopped up a quote from the 'We Are' Everyday Etc Cards and added that along with some words cut from the 'Tropical' Snippet Strips. Finally I added a sweet sprinkling of enamel dots from the Bold Enamel Dots Set.

I feel totally inspired by this gorgeous collection and I can't wait to get stuck into my next layout.

Thank you for stopping by the blog. I hope you are feeling inspired to play with your Flutterby Designs stash too.

Cheers
Belinda

Together | Sue Plumb

Hi everyone!
Sue Plumb here to share my latest Flutterby design team project with you. Today I am sharing a 12x12" mixed media layout that features the brand new "We Are" collection, that was released to the Flutterby Designs store on Friday night. This range has proven to be very popular already, so if you haven't snapped some of it up yet, make sure you get on it!

So, for the page I created with the "We Are" collection, I decided to use a beautiful photo of two of my kids that I took recently. (I was aiming for all three of them together, but there is always someone who doesn't play along and ruins my fun!)
I was actually lucky enough to create this layout on retreat at the Sunshine Coast last weekend, while the Flutterby boss lady herself was a mere table away from me!

I began my layout with one of the sheets from the 12x12" paper pack, called "The Story of Us". This paper is designed like a large sheet of notebook paper and it was the perfect canvas for me to add some of my Flutter Colour Paints to it. I used a combination of brayer, brush and my fingers to spread the paints around, layering the colours until I achieved the look I was after.

I then added some stamping using background stamps from Viva Las VegaStamps and some sweet hearts from Cocoa Vanilla Studio with teal Archival ink; before using my Stabilo All pencil to add a few random scribbles on top.

I used a few different "We Are" Everyday Etc Filler Cards to layer behind my photo - cutting, tearing and even punching them to add interest. I also added the grateful page tab from the "We Are" Page Tabs sheet. I then topped the papers with some frayed gauze to give soft texture, before mounting my photo on some scrap cardboard and adding it on top.
I then added a small heart from the Die Cut Bits & Bobs pack directly onto the corner of my photo.

Alongside the left edge of my photo, I added a cute handmade heart embellishment from Charms Creations, which proved to be the perfect spot to add the we are family flair button from the "We Are" Set 2 on top.

Below the bottom right edge of my photo I added a couple of phrases from the Sticky Quotes sheet, as well as one above my photo. Then, also from the Sticky Quotes sheet, I added the script word together at the bottom of my page.

To finish off, I added a few enamel dots; a small splattering of teal ink and stamped the phrase I love you lots with a roller stamp.

Thanks for stopping by today so I could share this with you. I hope I have given you a taste of just how fun and fabulous this collection is for scrapping all your family photos.
Make sure visit the store to snap up all the new goodies (including a great range of mugs that are perfect for Christmas gifts!) HERE

Until next time, happy scrapping!

Sunshine Vibes | Adele Toomey

Hey peeps!

I am trying something today a little outside my comfort zone...I love the look of cut files and paper pieced backgrounds, but have no access to a digital cutting machine and have always put these techniques in the "too hard" basket.

I was excited to actually have a beachy photo to scrapbook (I'm not an outdoorsy/beach gal hehe!!) so I knew right away I wanted to pull out my Good Vibes Only stash for this particular page.

I have also created a process video showing exactly how I created the background for this page as it's a little tricky to explain! I created a paper template and worked my way around the outside of the photo to cut the patterned papers to the correct size.

I also added some Flutterby Designs alphas, sticky quotes and enamel dots to give this layout some cute details.

Hope you enjoy my process video!

Adele :)

Weird as Me. Poop.| Allara Bamforth

Happy Tuesday,

I'm back on the blog today with a very quick and easy layout that really didn't take long at all! Sometimes I love being able to create no fuss layouts that don't take too much effort but still look amazing. This way I can get lots of layouts done without spending hours on them. That's why I love Flutterby Designs goodies, so easy to mix and match and create a fab layout!!

My layout today uses the I'll Keep You 12 x 12 paper for the background and a couple of strips from 'Love for All' paper from the 'Happily Ever After' collection. I've taken the 'Halftone' and 'Migraine Madness' Stencils and applied some Flutter Colour Paint in Grape Soda, Bahama Blue, Orange Goldfish with a sponge. Overlapping the designs from bottom left to top right. This complements the paper and the grape soda matches in with the title.

Once the background was dry, I drizzled some of the Artic White and Bahama blue over the stencilled parts. Added to this I picked some of my Oxide Inks to add some splashes over the top.  The title is from 'What Makes Us Work' 12 x 12 paper form the 'Happliy Ever After collection. To finish off I've used the 'Stargazed Stencil' to add some stars to triangles around my son's head.

Thanks for taking a peek.

Till next post,

I have added some Fair Dinkum Chrissy wood veneer bits around my page.
I painted the 'Santa' piece black for my title, as well as some stars.

I have used some Christmas enamel dots , a page tab and some super cute
pieces from the Fair Dinkum Chrissy Die Cut Bits & Bobs pack.

Bad Ass Beautiful Misfit | Tamara Buckler

Hello Flutterby Friends,

I'm back again today to share with you another fun stash busting layout. I managed to grab some beautiful late afternoon pics with my girls, and the light was just divine! I really wanted to play that up in this layout by keeping my palette fairly neutral but with pops of the mustard yellow in the sunset.

I started by digging through my stash to find some elements that would work with that plan. I found the title elements first and decided that they would work stacked together - this lead me to decide to run all of the elements down one side of the page. I applied gesso to my Kraft cardstock, covering about half the page. Once this was dry I randomly applied some stamps from my stash for added texture and contrast.

I then began to build my photo stack. I added some tissue paper directly behind my photo, and then layered in some various Everyday Etc Cards in mustard and white. I then added a piece of the "Connie" 12 x 12 from the We Run the World collection (I love this paper, and I will use EVERY scrap!). Between all these layers I added some cardboard and double sided foam tape for added dimension.

I added in the "Remember This" Fussy Cut from the Kraft Pack to the left of my photo stack and the "High Five" page tab from the Blank Palette Sheet. I added a Charms Creations black denim arrow, and mustard coloured Flair Button, which I altered using the White Tiny Sticky Quotes

I think the title is my favourite part of this layout. I used some alpha stamps from my stash for the 'You are A', and then used some words cut out of Everyday Etc Cards, and the 'Beautiful' Die Cut from the Flawsome Die Cut pack to complete this title. I love mixing alphas, and really feel like this pops of the page.

To finish off the page, I added in a few more die cuts, some enamel dots, some scribbling and splatters in black. I grunged everything up with a bit more black ink, and even distressed the right had side of the page for a bit more interest.

Thanks for stopping by today to check this page out!

We have had some exciting news this week that Anita has a new range ready for us - to be launched on Friday 16/11 - make sure you jump over to the event on Facebook so that you get your hands on the goodies. I cant wait to share with you my layouts using this new range!!

Until then, Big Loves...
