Always Forgive Yourself (Art Journal Page) by Kylie Cornish

Some art journalers add quotes or sayings and some don't.
I find myself being one that does and with the help with Flutterby Designs Snippet Strips, you can find just what you want to say on your page.

When I look at these sheets I see quotes that have meaning and can easily express just how I feel and this simple art journal page does just that. It shows that I as a person I should "learn my mistakes", "believe in myself" and one of the most important quotes on the page is ALWAYS FORGIVE MYSELF.

I also used one of the Everday ETC Cards with my trusty Square punches.

So believe in yourself and get creative.

'You Have To Be Odd' By Anita Rodway

Hi hi!!!! Boss lady here & I'm very slack as this was
supposed to go up yesterday LOL.
I created this one a while back & I've been hanging onto it, cause this is a NEW Stencil 'Bubble O'Fun'.
It will be in our next release (when that will be I don't have a set date as yet). Life has been busy & sick kiddos make things a challenge.

'YOU HAVE TO BE ODD'

Close ups...

I started with some molding paste thru the stencil.
Gave it a quick dry & got out some 'Tangerine Orange'
Flutter Colour paint. I watered down a small amount
on my craft mat. With a really wet brush I applied
it to my background.

Dried that off & went back in with the same colour
& put down some 'swooshes' - if you have no idea
what I mean check out some of my

Once that was dry I began to build my layers & embellish.

Post Expo Monday | Sue Plumb

Hi Flutterby peeps!
Sue Plumb here with you today to share my latest Flutterby Designs project. For this layout I decided to scrap a selfie I took at home the day after the Brisbane Scrapbook and Papercraft Expo ended back in June. After spending 4 awesome (but exhausting) days surrounded by "my people", this photo pretty much summed up how I was feeling that Monday morning.

I started my layout by creating a mixed media background on some white cardstock. First, I used 3 different colours of the Flutter Colour paints, which I swiped on using an old credit card. Next, I applied some grey mist, which I applied lightly using some plastic packaging to some of the white areas of the background. I then used the 'Confetti Cubes' stencil from the Mini Stencils set to add some texture paste to my page. Finally, for a little extra extra depth I added some stamping, using both black and grey Staz On inks.

For my layout design, I started by using one of the Everyday Etc 'No Excuses' filler cards as a mat for my photo. I then tucked a 'One of Those Days' page tabs in behind my photo, along with some messy cotton thread. Above my photo I added a couple of the 'Blackboard' Sticky Quotes (one of which features my absolute favourite "sentence enhancer", hehe) and alongside my photo I used the coffee cup wood veneer, which I added a Snippet Strip to, that I had cut into smaller pieces.

The large quote on my layout came from a 'One of Those Days' Everyday Etc cards, that I cut into pieces. I also used the super cute 'Everyday Life' wood veneer Insta Frame, which I tucked under the edge of my photo, and then layered it with some more messy thread and a flair button (from the new set #420) on top.

The monday in my title was from the 'Weekdays' wood veneer pack and I coloured it black using my trusty Posca pen. I also coloured some of my favourite 'Circles' wood veneer pieces the same way and scattered them around my page, along with some coordinating bold enamel dots.

Thanks for stopping by today, if you haven't already joined the Flutterby Inspiration HQ group on Facebook then make sure you do! We love to see your layouts featuring your favourite "sentence enhancers" too, so don't be shy! ;)
Til next time, happy scrapping! X

Home is where the Heart is | Krisy Podolak

Hi Flutterby Lovelies, Today I am taking a break from the "No Excuses" Range and am sharing a layout I created using the "Happy Together" Collection This layout came about by accident, not planned in any way it just happened and turned out pretty good.

For the background I have used a triangle of paper from the Cocoa Vanilla Range "Totally Rad".  The colours worked so well with the light blue Flutter Colour paint.  So, I used the "smooching" technique and added some colour to the background. Once it was dry, I added some modelling paste through the I {heart} stencil.  This give a nice detail.  I also added a bit of dark blue in the same smooching technique and used up any extra paint my flicking it on to the page.

The photo is a selfie of my little family at Easter time.  The photo is not straight so I used this as a focal point and it also ties in the diagonal line of the triangle background piece of paper.  Behind that I have used one of the book pages from the "Wild Bohemian" Everyday Etc cards and tore it into strips and used it as a matte.  I didn't want it to be a focal point hence the strips rather than a solid matte.  Over the top of the matte, I added a cambridge paper lace doily to soften the background a bit.  Then I fussy cut another Everyday Etc card from the "Happy Together" Range to use as my title.  I used some of the small word Snippets to add around the page as this is bang on trend at the moment and finished it off with a Charms Creations blue chevron and a Flutterby Designs Flair button.

I also used some gold chevron stickers to help draw the eye in and for a little bit of bling amongst all the blue.

For even more detail, I added some heart stickers in the light blue and some pink and blue enamel dots.  To tie in the dark lines around the title, I doodled around the enamel dots, heart stickers and snippets. For a bit of "Neet" detail, I faux stitched around the border with my black marker and around the triangle of paper on the background.

And that's it.  The hardest part of this layout was fussy cutting the title.  I don't know how all you fussy cutters enjoy that process.  I think it's a bit of an old school technique that is making a comeback...What do you think?  I think it takes a lot of patience and of that I have not much but it does look fantastic.  I think I am going to try and incorporate it a little more into my layouts.

This is Awesome! by Lauren Hender

Morning world...

Its 6am and I am sitting here typing with the best cup of tea.. Don't you love it when your cup of tea is the right temperature,  the right taste, and of course the right cup. Well that's me here sipping away getting ready to share with you my latest layout.

In this layout I have used Flutterby Designs Stencils, Flair, Wood Veneers, Enamel Dots, Page tabs, Photo Cut Outs and Stickers

Tip to try:

Build your background by adding dimension. In this layout I created this effect by creating a solid area with some powders, then I used a stencil and an air brush to bend some subtle aqua around the sides, and finally add some glitter hearts using another stencil and some glitter glass beads paste.

The enamel dots just add that last little accented feature..

Hope you love this layout as much as I do..
Now next step ... pop over the to flutterby shop and pick up all your goodies.

Today I wanted to share a layout where I used one of my Instagram images showing off my happy scrappy Flutterby Design mail.

For something a little different I used some of the packaging cut offs on my page.
I used the Flutterby Design logo from my Enamel Dots packaging and I also used the web address strip from my Everyday ETC Card sample card.

Products used -

'CREATIVE CHAOS - FILLER CARDS' Everyday Etc Cards

So yes we get amazing products when we buy from Flutterby Designs but we also get packaging that is very usable and just waiting to be added to a layout is some way or another.
