#GIRLBOSS || By Elisa Ablett

Hi everyone,

Elisa here from the design team with my latest layout using a few bits and pieces from past collections and the bright colours of the gorgeous Flutter Paint.

So who is ready to STASH BUST before the next new collection?

To start my layout, I wanted to create a statement piece in the middle with the Flutter Paint and a Brayer. I also used a baby wipe to remove some of the paint through the 'Bright Like a Diamond' stencil. Add some 'crappy distressed sewing' that I seem to be really good at and some gorgeous Washi tape and bright Enamel dots.

The filler cards worked perfectly going through my die cutter and I love the resulting flowers and leaves to go with my layout. This is a great way to use some of your filler cards that you have left over!!

I utilised an older kit called "We run the world' which I really loved and I am still using up all the last bits and pieces from.

Lets take a look at the close up pics!

I used a white modelling paste through the "Little Big Love' stencil under my photo cluster and also on the opposite side to create a subtle texture and layer to the layout.  Add your die cut flowers and leaves in layers around your filler cards and I also added a few Gold handmade embellies from Charms Creations as well. Love these beauties.

Some distressed sewing and black border using a fineline black pen, washi tape and enamel dots to point the way to the photo on the page.

Balance your page by adding an embellishment cluster on the opposite side of your page using the same techniques and products.

Be Bold, Be Awesome, Be Brave | Tamara Buckler

Helllooo Peeps,

I'm up again to share with you another fun layout featuring the 'We Are' collection, as well as some other awesome bits and pieces. This one is nice and bright, with a heap of impact, seems to be how I roll at the moment!

I have used the 'I'll keep you' paper from the 12x12 paper pack as my background, and have added some white gesso to the centre of the page to soften what is a very bright and busy pattern. This allowed me somewhere to work with my mixed media, and other elements.

I created some very bold paint stripes using Black Mayhem Flutter Colour Paint and a dry brush. I then added some texture by using the Little Big Love stencil and some texture paste, and by adding some plasterers tape.

I layered up my photos using some Everyday Etc Cards from the 'We Are' Collection. I tucked both my photos into a Photo Cut Out, this helped to ground my photos and I was able to work this into my title.

I used some wood veneer words from my stash, and painted them with the black Flutter Colour Paint, to complete my title.

I finished off the page by adding in some Flutterby Flair Buttons, various stickers, and enamel dots.

Thanks for stopping by again today, and I hope you feel inspired to create something using the amazing 'We Are' collection!

Big Loves,
Tam xo

Good Vibes Only | Tamara Buckler

Hey Hey Flutterby Friends,

I am back again today to share another layout using the awesome new Good Vibes Only collection.

I have used the awesome 'Happy' 12x12 paper from the Paper Pack as the background for this layout, and have added lots of messy gesso and Flutter Colour paint to the centre of the page. I also added some extra texture by using texture paste through my fav 'Little Big Love' stencil.

I have used two full 6x4 photos which is unusual for me, but these pics of my beautiful little miss at the beach were perfect for this collection. I did trim them down a little so that I could matt them on some of the Everyday Etc Filler cards from the collection, and popped up the right photo with some fun foam.

I used the acrylic piece from the collection kits for my title, and backed it with another piece from the Everyday Etc Filler cards. To complement the title I used some pieces from the Die Cuts pack.

To create my cluster to the right, I pulled a few bits and pieces from other ranges and a white chevron from Charm's Creations to highlight the beautiful flair button from the Flair Button Set 2.

I used another Charm up the top of my pic to provide another little spot for a cluster, and used another die cut from the collection as well as wood veneer bit which I coloured with some Flutter Colour paint.

I love this layout, is so bright and fun, but still makes the photos the real focus of the page.

Hope you've enjoyed stopping by and checking out this layout today. Make sure you get in and scrap your summer memories before the cold sets in!

Big Loves,
Tam xo

Summer Vibes | Belinda Spencer

Hello Flutterby fans!

Belinda here today to share a layout created with the awesome Good Vibes Only collection. I absolutely love the sweet watermelon elements in this range so I have based my layout around this.

'Summer Vibes' Layout

I just happened to have a photo of my darling daughter when she was much younger pretending to eat a chunk of watermelon like a rabbit. You can't see in the photo but she was wearing fluffy pink bunny ears at the time.
I chose the Neapolitan Notes paper from the 12 x 12 Paper Pack for its gorgeous pink colour for my background paper and swiped some Raspberry Punch Flutter Colour Paint over it using a silicone brush. I added some stamping too using a Darkroom Door stamp that was just perfect for this layout.

Once dry, I added some sweet subtle stencilling using the Little Big Love Stencil and some Worn Lipstick Distress Oxide.

To give my layout a more summery feel I swiped some texture paste over the Aloha Stencil to add some stunning frangipanni flowers. Once dry, I coloured over the top of the flowers using a white paint pen to make them more of a crisp white.

I fussy cut the word Hello from the Hello Summer Photo Card. I love adding fussy cut elements to my layouts as I find fussy cutting quite relaxing. I especially love fussy cutting the photo cards as the knife just glides through the photo paper making it so much easier.
How cute is that little watermelon wood veneer?!! So cute! I added some cute little wood veneer hearts too as well as the the word 'vibes' that I punched out of the Good Vibes Only wood veneer piece.

I finished with some watercolour sticky quotes, a page tab and a sprinkling of the Christmas Enamel Dots. These are my favourite enamel dots as they have a lovely matt finish.

Here's what I used:

Have you had a play with this stunning collection yet? Make sure you share your beautiful work with us in the Flutterby Inspiration HQ Facebook Group so we can leave some love.

Happy Unicorn | Tamara Buckler

Hey Hey Flutterby Friends,

Can you believe February is here already and all the kiddos are back at school?!? It's certainly been a busy couple of weeks at our place, so when I sat down to create this page, I really just wanted to get a bit crazy with colour, texture and lots of embellishments.  Luckily my little miss is a bit cray cray, so she gives me good material for when I want to get messy!

I started this page with a sheet of 12 x 12 white cardstock (which ends up as 8.5 x 11.5), and started by running some texture paste through the Little Big Love Stencil. I wanted to work with the colours on the ice cream box,  so I watered down some Flutter Colour Paint in Grape Soda, Raspberry Punch, and Green Limousine and added it to the page using the packaging technique. I also used a watercolour crayon to add in the deeper blue.

I then fussy cut my pics and mounted one of them with foam to provide a little bit of separation from the background. I selected from the 'We run the World' Filler Cards a number of cards that had a watercolour or whimsical feel about them, and that fitted with my colour scheme, and cut them into strips to run behind the photos. I also slotted in the "Best Day Ever" Fussy Cut that I backed with the same papers, and I tucked in a frame from the 'We Run the World' Photo Cut Outs.

I used a Die Cut from the 'Flawsome' collection and I fussy cut the word "unicorn" from an Everyday Etc to create the title. I have to say I was stoked to see the word "unicorn" pop up because someone in my house is a little obsessed, hence the crazy face about the Unicorn Gaytimes :)

To finish off the layout I added in a heap of die cuts, flair buttons, and wood veneer pieces from a variety of ranges, as well as some white tiny sticky quotes.

The final layout is a little bit chaotic, but I think its a bit fun, and suits the crazy we've got going on. Sometimes you've just got to let that shine, right?!? Plus I hope its made you smile!

Big Loves,
Tam xo

You are loved...Dumbass | Tamara Buckler

Hey, Hey Scrappy peoples,

Welcome back to the Flutterby Blog today! This weekend seems to be a busy one for lots of our scrappy friends and DT chicks, as they are off enjoying a retreat. I myself am still recovering from the epic long weekend that was #createbythelake2017. Seriously good fun, lots of scrappy time and side splitting laughs with like minded people. The BEST!

I'm back on the blog today to share one of the layouts that I created at retreat. I stumbled across some 8.5 x 11.5 cardstock while I was there, and I can tell you, I am in love with this size!! Its so cute and compact, but the dimensions work in so many ways.

I went pretty hard with the gesso on the background here, and then mixed up some texture paste with the Raspberry Punch Flutter Colour paint through my fave 'I heart you' stencil. I then did the same with the gorgeous new 'Little Big Love' stencil and the Grape Soda Flutter Colour Paint. I then went a bit free range with Aquamarine Dream Flutter Colour Paint, and then watered down some Bahama Blue to splatter all over the page.

I altered one of the wood veneers from the new 'Flawsome' collection with the Aquamarine Flutter Colour Paint, and then inked around the edges to grunge it up. I layered up the 'Flawsome' Everyday Etc Filler Cards behind my pic, but didn't pop my photo up as there is already so much dimension on the page.

To balance off the page, I added some page tabs from the Sentence Enhancers and Mad About You pack. As well as the rad 'love who you are' flair from the Flawsome range.   Finishing touches were the Neon Enamel Dots, as well as some Die Cuts and Snippet Strips.

Thanks for stopping by to check out my layout, I hope you're having awesome scrappy adventures!!

Butterfly House | Tamara Buckler

Hey, Hey, Happy Saturday!

I'm up today to share a layout with you sharing the new 'Flawsome' collection. This collection is so full of super empowering quotes, and is all about self love and appreciating the beauty in our everyday.

When I saw the beautiful butterfly quote in Everyday Etc Cards, I knew I had to scrap these photos of my girls at the butterfly house in Coffs Harbour.

I started by smearing some Green Limousine FlutterColour Paint on the background using an old store card, and then splattered some Orange paint all over the place. I then mixed some Aquamarine Dream FlutterColour Paint with some texture paste and spread it through the new Little Big Love Stencil. Such a random colour combo, but I think it works!

I added my title using some Thickers, and then added a Snippet Strip and altered a Flawsome Wood Veneer heart with paint and kindy glitz to balance the top of the page.

Thanks for stopping by to check out my page! Hope you have an awesome scrappy weekend!

Big Loves,
Tam x
